Call History broken when number starts with 0 or +

Hello All,
I have Wizard with a Xplore 1.0.2 ROM. I usually use the phone in US, but I have brought it with me to Iran, where all the cell numbers start with Zero ( + ). For some reason, when i dial the number, it does not get stored in the call history. Caller ID works fine, but it is a pain because i can not see missed calls or dial the last number I called.
Does anyone know a fix?

fyi... i found out that the call history was not working because the date/time on the phone was 12 hours off (am/pm backwards). it works now :)
