crash when flashing splashscreens = solved + see my pics

hello and heeeeelp.

i have a m3100 from orange, recently i updated to the shaps 3.54b, following step by step the excelent tutorial here : http://www.mrvanx.org/cms/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=52&Itemid=26
everything went fine and my phone worked perfectly until this night because i tried to change the splash screens.

i did everything exactly like described in the readme file, including this particular point :
...4) MAKE SURE that Device = HERM200, CID Type = SuperCID and Signature Size = 128
but perhaps i was wrong because my hermes is a herm100.

then after, i wanted to flash the generated "RUU_signed.nbh" on my phone, but as i didnt find the "CustomRUU" quoted in the readme file (wiki was down at that time) i decided to try with the "RUUWrapper.exe" from the "htc_rising_sun_splash.zip" of the second message of this topic : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=344891

then there was a problem during flash. the included recovery procedure didnt work and since then, i'm stuck in 3colors bootloader screen.
it says :

HERM100
IPL-1.04
HERM100
SPL-2.10.Olipro

Serial

and when i plug the usb cable, "Serial" becomes "USB"

as i dont want the situation to be worse, i ask for help before i try something stupid again.
so please tell me it can be saved, and how ?

sorry for the message : i found how to fix it on the xda forums but i was only by reflashing 3.54b. bad news is that i lost some unsaved datas and have to reinstall all software but my phone is ok again.

sorry again, i could have searched better before posting, but first time i almost brick a phone so i was really in panic.

now that i know how to fix it, i tried again, changing "herm200" to "herm100" (see my first post) and everything is ok.

i don't understand your question :
pictures are only pictures and if you packagge them normally they should work on any device.
of course as i have uploaded JPGs, you have to convert them back to 24bit BMP before using them .


My problem causing crash was (i believe so) that when preparing the RUU_signed.nbh i choose HERM200 as decribed in the readme file BUT MY phone was a HERM100.

on my 2° try, i created the RUU_signed.nbh and choose HERM100 and everything is fine now.

Hi, I'm using nbhgen or duttys good nbhtool. I often used HERM100 or HERM200 with my Herm100, and it seems to have no influence which setting you use. Working always. But for splashscreens you must have Hard-SPL installed or SPL-MFG. (for flashing unsigned code or something like that).

PAPPL : yes i know and yes i have hardspl, i followed every steps of Mrvanx tutorials when i installed schaps rom. here :

so if the herm100 or herm200 settings have no importance i wonder why it failed the first time . ? usb problem perhaps ?
