Sorry if i'm being daft but i cant find anywhere i can configure this?

How do i add my own app's???

goto HKLM/software/htc/trayapplet/ in the registry. you will find a subkey title 3. Following the syntex used in subkey 0, you can add a shortcut to an app that will sit in the tray on the today page.
