BA turns off while rom upgrade

i tried to upgrade to wm6 from wm3 on my ba and i got stuck at seria usb v2.07,
now i know i can ugrade the ext rom and radio but im still having problems w the rom, the phone turns off and i dont know why, keep telling me errors,
any help? everything seem to work fine untill stage 3. i tried to do it alone, but nothing,
i even tried the 1.42 radio rom update, the wm6 from heli and others. using ma......noid instead of the ba....
tried mtty, usb, task 14 0, 28 55aa, 0, and nothing. even set...
any idea where to look?

you need to open your ba and check the switch that works with the battery holder natch.

try to flash your ROM in that screen...
that's the BOOTLOADER Screen...

the thing is... that "sometimes" the RUU doesnt recognize that our BA is already in that mode after executing EnterBL.exe(Enter Bootloader), so it hangs or sometimes throw an error that you are disconnected.

and since your BA is already in the "BL" Mode.
try and restart flashing from that screen, it would go smoothly...

P.S.
to be sure...
BEFORE YOU START FLASHING...
make sure you have enough batteries left.
AND
kill all the RUU Processes from the task manager... (Ma...NoID.exe)

unfortunately SilverSamurai tried everything u said, and nothing worked. keep telling me error 112. even after i removed the enterBL.exe and after trying diffrerent versions. all with ma...noid.exe.

im ordering the screwdrivers, but im sorry Sandstorm, but i dont know exactly what i have to look for.

im trying to find the switch that works with the battery holder natch in wiki with no luck. ill keep working on this.

pardon me for correcting... it's the battery "Notch" switch...
it's the switch behind the "thingy" that you push to lock the battery in place.

too bad i dont have another camera with me, so all i can do is describe it.

when you remove the back cover...
just look "bottom-center" where an "insy-bitsy" toggle switch reside.

... i'll try to search for a solution too... and post anything i find in here...

i finally open my ba, and i get to the switch that works with the battery holder notch, it seems to work fine, still, dont know if it has to be up or down while working with the ba. i guess down, but im not sure.
do you know?

push the notch up...(grrr... i thought it was a switch... press down... you're right)

have you tried a different battery?
i dont recall the Radio having 1.42.00 versions... that's WM2003SE and it has the radio version of 1.13.00....

just start with upgrading the Radio Rom ONLY... upgrade it with the one found in the BA Wikis... Version 1.15.00. (http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=BA_Radio_1.15_Upgrade)

Then if it is successfull try flashing with Xplode's WM6.1 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=372485) found in stickies...

dont bother with the extrom... just install/flash those two above....

and use XP not Vista/ Remove the SD Card.
