Schap's 4.01 + Goodlink 5

Doesn't Work.

To be more precise…

Hangs the device when the “Starting up…” message

Tried reflash and reinstall from get.good.com with no luck. Hangs the device at about 95% install when it tries to start the services.

Anyone else have this issue?

Just reflashed with Black X RC and it all works.

So it seems to be a problem with Schap's 4.01. Previously worked with GL 4.x and Schap's 4.0. New GL is v5.0.0.73_en.

was running v3G's 3.60 and switched to Schap's 4.01 (which is very slick BTW) but Good hangs. I even downgraded the radio from 1.54.07 back to 1.54.00 without any luck. Also tried downgrading from Good 5.0.0.73 to 5.0.0.67. No change. What a bummer. This was the best ROM i've run so far. It has to be settings since I don't think one cooked version is that different from another when it comes to apps running in WM6. Right? ;-)

Shap's is the best ROM that I've tried so far as well.

I know that JJ's Black had some hex hack to make Good think it was WM5. Maybe this needs to be done to Shap's? Not sure.

I am using GL 5 with Schap's 4.01, it works I had restored a backup, it is just slow and contact manager is not correctly working but rest it ok...

No Luck.

I installed GL5 on Black X. Made a backup. Intalled Schap's 4.01 and restored the GL 5 backup.

I hangs the device almost right away after reboot. Screen is on (with no light), Clock stops but the green flashing activity light still works.

If I try and call the phone, it still plays dead, but it doesn't go straing to voice mail telling me that the phone is still working but the GUI and the buttons are stuck.

Grrrr. This is bugging me.

which version are you using I am using 5.0.067EN

my restore was done from schap's 3.57a to 4.01

I've now tried:

Flash Schap's 3.57a, install GL5 (all works), take backup, flash 4.01, restore backup.

No good. Still hangs the device on reboot.

Good Mobile messaging is not compatible with WM6 which i belive is what schap's 4.01 is cooked from.

im not familiar with the program, but 3.57 is also a wm6 rom, so it should make no difference between 3.57 and 4.01.. it must be in settings.. have you asked schaps if any components are missing from 4.01 that are in 3.57?

What is gmm? If it's Goodlink... I don't have a choice. Version 5 is pushed to me.

Back to Black until this is sorted I guess... Pity... I like Schap's ROM.
