Hi there.
I've been askes to update a friend's MDA Compact III (T-Mobile).
As far as i know this can be done (WM5 to WM6) just by running USPL.. right??
Second question is a 'data' question. He has several data on his PDA, but he does not sync (no PC) to computer.
Can i do backup with some software, upgrade to WM6 and then restore data?
Is yes, what backup-software do you guys recommend?
Regards,
Gerwin
PS. I've succesfully update my dutch HTC P3300 to WM6. Great!

I use SPB Backup from http://www.spbsoftwarehouse.com/?en.
Works great for me.

Ah.. looks sufficient..
And backing up data from WM5 and restoring to WM6 does not give problems?
And my other question?

This will give a problem within all backup software if you need a restore of software too. For data only there will be no problem to rextore.

Use USPL this makes it possible to update any rom to your Artemis. After this you wil need to flash a rom I suggest the B&B 4.3 Works Perfect FAst and nice Progs... Or you can choose the dutch Touch version. Is also on teh Mobile 6 Forum...
If he has stile the original T-mobile Rom maybe you can make an Backup rom for us? I didn't do that no i cant use my warrenty if my phone crashes... Would you mind making posting this for all us Dutch T-Mobile Crap using brothers?? THXSSSS
Here is a link how to do that: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=312871&highlight=backup+rom
You would make a lot of people HAPPY! THXSS in advance! (Bedankt gozer...):)

Ik vermoedde het al. Maar door de vele topics niet te vinden of het nu wel of niet kan.
Het kan, inmiddels gebeurd. No problemo.
