Hi,

I have a problem with my HTC3600: tomtom 6.030 hangs
after about 30 minutes I use it. Have you ever had this
kind of problem? Can you suggest me any possible way
to solve it?
Thanks a lot for your answers.
Bye.

Thanks a lot for your replies. I have just loaded
ATIFIX and I will try if it works later. Then, if the problem
still exists, I will delete my italian POI.
If you have any further comment, please let me know.
Bye

I am sorry but the problem still exists.
Can this due to POI or maps?
Thanks for your precious answers.
Bye.

hey guy,

i had the same issue with hanging. then someone suggested to DISABLE all the POIs, and it's been working ever since.

give that a try. i suspect enabling all the POIs chew up the memory or something. i used to display all gas stations, safeway, post office..

let me know if this fixes your problem.

on the other hand, i have another problem. whenever i reboot my P3600, start up TomTom, it says 'No Map found'. the only work around seems to be remove the SD card, do a soft reset, then re-insert the SD card.

does anyone experience this? if so, is that a solution for it???

Hi,

do you mean DELETE or DISABLE all the POIs? I have just disabled
all the active POIs and disabled all the related alerts. I need a couple
of days to see what happens and let you know. Do I have to delete
all the POIs, too?
Thanks for your answers.
Bye.

disabling all your POIs should do the trick. you can do that, and test it by navigating to a destination and run the route demo. pick a destination that takes a good 10-15 min to run.

Thanks a lot, I have already tested it and it seems working
but I want to make other tests. Do you know why the POIs
could cause this behaviour? One of the reasons I bought Trinity
is that in Italy we have a lot of "autovelox" (devices that check
the speed of the cars on the roads) and I've got a couple of
POIs to avoid this. Do you know if these POIs can be uncorrect?
How to test them?
Regards.

I think the reason your Tom Tom 6 hangs is nothing to do with your Poi's, I have hundreds of Poi's showing with alarms I was using a 1gb card and my Tom Tom had many problems now that I have changed to a 2Gb card my Tom Tom has not frozen once. My son is using a 1Gb card and his TomTom is perfect. It is not down to the size of card rather than the quality.

Do you suggest me to change the card? What brand
do you suggest?

I'm afraid it's a bit more complex than that, My 2gb card is the same as my 1gb card yet it never acts up. Both cards are Sandisk purchased from Pricestorm.

i suspect it may be memory issue. the more POIs you enable, the more memory it uses, thus it overflows?
you can always enable several POIs at a time to test it. it's tedious, but i don't see other options from anyone here.
