I have upgraded my device for about 3 month ago with a WM6 pre-release from Palm. Everything worked fine, but (and of course) I was waiting for the official release. When I found the link in this forum (Generic Rest-of-world - English
http://palmone.r3h.net/downloads.pal...topUpdater.zip ) I had downloaded it and flashed my 750.
Unlike a lot of people the upgrading process was perfect. Now my software on TREO750-2.23-RWE and the Firmware on 1.54.00.00.
I have only on big problem: the operating time (standby and in call also) was dramatically decreased. Broadly speaking it was halved. And of course my calling habit does not change.
Is there anybody who was found the same thing?
Thanks.

I am having the exact same problem. Battery life is absolutely miserable with 2.23 ROW.
I have considered flashing to this ROM. I will probably try it this weekend....

I think I will give it a try also! Than I will write down my impressions.

I have upgraded to WM6 and mine still lasts for about 9 hours or so. What are you getting? (I'm a heavy internet, email, and text message user as well.)

Any luck? I actually have not made the jump from this ROM. My girlfriend is using the phone. We probably had time this weekend, but things just kept coming up. Maybe next weekend...

FWIW, my battery life/use actullay IMPROVED after upgrading to the 2.23 Unbranded ROM. (Using an AT&T 750, upgraded from out of the box WM5 Rom. With XpressMail push enabled)

Hmmm. It's strange, because I think it is not a hardware issue. (or the AT&T 750 different modell -has minor changes- than the unbraded ones?)

Nope. I have not enough time for it on the weekend. :(

Bear in mind you are now "true" 3g. Even with the HSDPA hack in WM5 you still didn't achieve "true" 3g (or 3.5 g depending on your school of thought). So now that you are sending those 3g packets you will be using up more battery life. With that said, depending on your voice usage and how consistently you are connected to 3g, you should still get about a business day out of your 750.
Cheers!

As I wrote it above I have used a pre-release WM6 on my Treo of course with 3G (HSDPA). So it is not the case.
