[Fixed] Dutty's SupaLite Rom Beta 2 available now [ 28.11.07 ]

:D As promised from requests made, I have just completed the supaLite Rom.

Basically everything is taken out the Rom apart from few bits.:eek:

CE OS 5.2.1620 [ Build 18533.dutty's ]

Total Storage 161.68mb

Only thing remains are:

1. BT_BPP_1_5_0_0
2. BT_SAP_2_02_b0925_r3
3. HTC_Comm Manager 6 buttons
4. HTC_SymbolPad

5. Acrosoft mms also taken out the rom for people that don't use it.
6. SMS Still works

All my Registry Tweaks are left in for super performance:

This Rom Is superfast and so far stable which is too early to say.

GPS QUICK FIX for quicker Results

RUN GPS TEST FIRST BEFORE PROGRAM E.G TOMTOM THEN RUN TOMTOM

Thanks to all the Pros out there who made it possible for us to flash our kaisers i.e POF, OLIPRO, HELMI_C for his quick break through of roms and everyone who else who contributed to the kaiser community.

This Rom is optimised for speed and stability I havent tested it for long so I'm not sure what bugs are there.

I'm uploading the SupaLite Rom now for beta testing, i will upload the final touch Rom tomorrow. :)

WOW! Honestly, I have to say I haven't used one of your ROM's yet but you are supafast!
For now I'm using HELMI_C's latest ROM, that is fast and clean. Maybe I'll try your superfast clean ROM, when it's final.

Installed the lite ROM. All went well. However, it doesn't automatically setup the connection. Normally it sets up the MediaNET connection (I'm on AT&T). Is this normal and do I need to manually create the connection?

I setup MediaNet manually. Is it recommended to use the Network Wizard or manual settings should be fine?

Dutty, 2 things:

Active Sync starts up after every reset whether I am plugged in or not. It won't close until I close it manually.

Comm Manager lost the bottom 2 buttons (3G and beam) randomly. They just disappeared when I opened comm manager. The buttons were there initially.

These things may be specific to me. Let me know.

Dutty, 2 things:

Active Sync starts up after every reset whether I am plugged in or not. It won't close until I close it manually.



There seems to be a bug in the ROMs (not just Dutty's,it's in the original stock ROM too) concerning Active Synch. The workaround is to go to settings>phone>Time Zones, and uncheck the "Automatic change Time zone and clock" box. :)

hi mate can you test how much free program memory you have with and without your memory card inserted.

without inserted I have 73.57 and when inserted i lost about 9mb

i flashed your rom dutty but i disliked the free ram in cold boot...only 64-65mb.

i didn't try to build any app on it because i saw after that you made changes so i have to reflash again the new entry :eek:
some things i saw in first rom i do not think that are usefull now because you have change the rom again..

at this time i haven't an adsl to download but i'll do it later and test it.

so, dutty, should we wait for mms fix or you'll release another rom with bundled arcsoft?.. coz i'm thinking should i start to install apps to this beta2 and wait for separate mms cab or i will just wait for other version of this extremely fast lite rom with mms... to be honest, i hate all of touchflos and other garbage in rom otherwise i can just use your kaiser touchflo2 final... but mms seems to be the basic phone function and imho it must be in rom even in extreme light version.

currently i've tested gps, wifi, bt, edge, imap mailbox - works just perfect.
can't test 3g coz just we don't have it..

found one issue impacting speed of screen rotation. if you install htc taskman 1.51 it slows down the rotation up to 2-3 times... taskman 2.0 (30995) works much faster but still decreasing rotation speed slightly.

with the SupaLite rom, how come you went back to this lower build, remember your Lite hybrid rom based off the russian rom you got which had CE OS 5.2.1978? How come you did not use this as a base anymore for any of the new roms like the Supalite or the TouchFLO roms? How come you went back to build CE OS 5.2.1620?

I am using the last lite rom you did with build 5.2.1978 and it is very fast plus it seems stable. Was there something wrong with that build or is the 1620 build more stable? Just wondering before I upgrade to beta 3 of your supalite rom, and hopefully you can have this rom have more free memory because 65mb is kind of low.

ram i definetly better with this rom 73.68 free with storage card and 74.11 with out storage card.

the screen still hangs for several seconds at random. its really annoying.

i love the storage available, however there is still room for improvement.

my canadates for removal:

windows update.
quick gps. (or replace with gps test)
error reporting (i dont know anybody who uses it, is it even possible?)
external gps (gps is built in)
all files in windows/help folder
all files in windows/startup (i usually delete them all any way)
disable sliding sounds, (delete reg key and sound files)
all folder and files from my documents
bubble breaker and solitare.
guava bubbles. windows default and windows mobile green themes
all sounds and pictures that are not absolutely necessary from window folder.

Isn't External GPS the proxy that allows multiple apps to use the GPS at the same time? Sorta like a GPSGate or GPSProxy.

i agree the hybrid lite 4 is your best rom. its supafast and its supastabil. by far the best canidate for supalite's base rom.

Dutty, In both beta 1 and 2, the screen turns off during phone call--even though, using Kaiser Tweak, I set it to not do so. Haven't had this problem with any of your other ROMs so it might be ROM related.

I might go back as suggested to hybrid no.4 lite for stability and see how it goes. It's easier to build a full rom than super clean lite rom as you dont know what files and registry relates to the rom that you might delete.

I havent got anytime today or tomorrow as soon as get some time i will look into re-doing it and based of the hybrid.4
