I think your mistaken, operator branded phones usually come sim locked, I assume it is the operator codes you are supplying tupisdin.

dont bother yourself, it will comeout soon the unlocker for all those htc products. for example the htc cheetah, i unlock already 15 units but there is not yet possible solution there in the forum of cheetah but thanks Olipro for the hardwork.

There is a SIM-locked version, at least in France with SFR/Vodafone
I may add that they got a very competitive price on the polaris, the pack is 250€ less than the normal version

Does anyone have such a device? I have only seen people owning two varinats: O2 orbit 2 and HTC polaris, these are not locked.

When i have a Kaiser locked (SFR France) i have do a donation to xda developers (50 $) and Tupisdin unlocked my phone instantanely by code.

Now i have a polaris locked (SFR France), i have buy it only 139€ in a little store in Paris. i'm sur tupisdin can unlock again my phone but now i'll wait for a free unlocker for polaris (50$ it's too much).

free sim unlocker is not to far away. olipro will be recieve his device in a few days and will get to work on the unlocker. no need to pay anyone to do it. just wait i would say a max 3 weeks if its very difficult to unlock.

if its easy maybe a day or 2 after olipro gets his polaris. i believe he should have it by next weekend. if u want to say thanx, donate to him and the polaris project.

If you are then you should apologize, in fact I am creator of the first SIM Unlocker for Kaiser (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=361039) and Security Unlocker (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=361236) which can be applied to all other HTC MSM7200 based devices (Niki, Polaris, Wings, etc). Last week I have given Olipro my source code and he will use it for any forthcoming unlocker for Polaris. I just mention this because you won't hear that from Pawel062.

HI All

On page one of this thread I said I would take the issue of Tupisdin and the fact that he offers SIM UNLOCK in most of the forums.

Flar the SysAdmin is aware of this and has confirmed that he does infact get the user to donate to XDA, once he sees the Stars next to the name then he unlocks the device.

Now Although I find EURO 50 a lot of money for a sim unlocking its not like its going to some comercail organisation, its going to this site.
This allows the site to run. So at the end of the day its a fair deal.
Now bear in mind that a lot of people (including me) have no stars behind our names and thus have made no contribution in money to this site.

I have no idea were her gets the software to do this nor do I want to know, the bottom line is that it is not as it looks, has been confirmed by the Sysadmin, talked about with most of the mods and is thus OK.

But first you need a HardSPL and an original polaris radio.

I've made the executive decision that I really don't want to put unlocked sec_flags in the hands of the masses, it's unnecessary and opens up the potential for fucking your device up.

soo... instead I've patched the AMSS but still need to get the signature check out of the way, shouldn't be a problem, but I'm with pof and cmonex in Barcelona for 3GSM so I'm not able to work on it for the time being.

You can get your IMEI code by *#06# on your Cruise with phone interface.

Are you sure of the IMEI you have sent ?

no, that's not coming out, I'll be releasing a proper sim unlocker with patched AMSS in a full image, as soon as I iron out a few creases with the qcsbl.

I bought 2 weeks ago a TC in sfr pack in Paris and i'm using it with Bouygues just by using the same Hack for the Iphone: a turbo sim which is a thin card with a chip that you stick on your sim before putting it in the phone. The store gave it to me with the phone but may be you can find it in the net.
I don't know if it's legal or not so if not sorry for the moderators and just erase my post...
If this can help those who can't wait for a clean solution like the one Olipro want to provide.

the waiting time is starting to be a little too long. I tried to unlock my Plaris ( Cruiser/ SFR) on the website imei.... and that worked.
I don't think it"s necessary to write in french on this forum because not everyone can understand what you are typing. I do understand that nearly 100% of the people who need to unlock their Polaris are in France, but please think about the others.
I personnally hope that Olipro will work it out as soon as possible.

olipro is just trying to make the process more noob friendly so they dont go out and brick their devices. im hopping he'll have it done this week. if u need it bad and have donated to him he is willing to take time away and walk you through the complicated process right now. trust me, i know the current process and it is too complicated for most people.
