i want to upgrade my MDA Compact II

hi i m new with Pda' s & dont know anything except for making calls & using office stuff. I want to upgrade my MDA Compact II from WM5 to WM6 but don't know a single thing how to do it. I m with T-Mobile UK. Is there anyone who can help me & tell me each step how to do this upgrade. i will be very very thankful for ur help.

hey, I hate to see questions unanswered, but (without wanting to cause offence), no one is going to hold your hand.

I don't even have a charmer, but looking at the first thread in this sub-forum, the instructions seem pretty clear. we were all new once, you do a bit of reading, then you're no longer new :D

Flashing instructions:
If you already have a WM6 rom, flash back to WM5: http://www.tm-phonedownloads.com/fil...ileUK_Ship.exe

Extract Charmer Touch.rar. Remember to turn off your GSM module and make sure you have Active Sync connection. Run Upgrade_ROM.bat. When the screen goes green and the flashing is finished make a HARD RESET!. Press Camera and Voice Dail buttons (hold them). Put and hold the stylus in reset button for 2 seconds. Release it. Wait until you see some white fonts on black screen. Then release those 2 buttons. Push the green dial button.
Do not interrupt the cab install after the first boot.

The only thing I will add is, you will lose all your personal settings, SMS, etc, etc, unless you install and use a backup program first
