I am having trouble using the weather in HTC Home. My internet explorer and other applications works fine with wi-fi and 3G. But the weather in the HTC always says unable to retrieve. Is the web server which the HTC Home connects to is down or something? Can someone help me. I tried reinstalling HTC Home. I am using the original ROM comes with the Tilt.

A server must be down as my weather quit loading a couple of days ago. Have not been able to figure out what is wrong.

The only time I have had problems was when going through a proxy server. Other than that it has always picked up the weather, right now for instance.

I've been having the same problem. The issue started a few days ago and I've been unable to get weather updates. I had no problems with it before the other day. I have the Tilt with the HTC Home Plugin and the Home Customizer and have tried using both the default database and the custom database.
Any ideas?

Mine stopped working this past weekend also. It must be a server deal. Does anyone know what site it gets the updates from?

you need to download the latest patched htc home cabs from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=319187
the old method of using an altered host entry for accuweather no longer works, and all versions of the htc home used this method to pull data. the app has been patched and there are new instructions to get your weather working again.
I has the same issue until I followed the instructions in the thread I just mentioned.

Do you think it may be the HTC Home Customizer app and the method that it uses to get around the original restrictions of the HTC Home? If so, then I myself would appreciate an update to the Home Customizer App, cuz thats really the easiest way to get the Weather working in cities and rural areas not listed in the original weather app.
