Why should htc cruise cost £389.95 (euro 545.73) in the UK whereas should it cost euro 629 in Italy?

There are 84 euro of spread!!!!!! :eek:

I would buy it from Uk. Do you know if the device could work in Italy with for example simcard Tim?

Since expansys is selling a no-brand device, should work also here... Probably expansys forward your request to the Italian branch so you'll pay the italian price instead of the UK's price:(

I'm brazinlian boy and i'd like so much buy this phone, i have a friend that he will go back to italy i 'm thinking ask him to buy one for me...so, has anyone who knows some site(italian, expansys i already know) to buy this? in brazil, but this gadgets is a hole of shit! in Brazil doesnt have HTC and waranty goes heaven and the price very expansive!example if you would like to buy htc p3600 outside brazil you can find around $500. Here it costs around R$2000,00($more than $1000).

The difference in the price depends mostly on what the package include (i.e. Navigation Software). If you buy your device from expansys it is sim-unlocked to use in any network. If you buy it from somewhere else... ensure first that it is not sim locked.

iPhone is locked to AT&T who subsidizes the cost of the unit. Adding over a million subscriptions for two years of service with many of them being new services (from other carriers) just to get 'the phone'. Costs AT&T next to nothing because they are not adding infrastructure, just filling bandwidth that has been somewhat idle. . . the business model is pretty good. Apple gets their cost+profit on the sale of the device while AT&T reap service and data plan charges. They don't even effect their HSDPA bandwidth because the device is EDGE/GPRS.

Yeah I understand the kickback scheme. But the device is still sold independently of carriers (ie. Apple Stores), so you're saying over half a million unlocked devices were/are sold at cost or at a loss to Apple?

Io lavoro in una grossa catena di distribuzione informatica, l'arrivo e' previsto per il 7 gennaio 2008, pertanto prima che vengano immessi nella catena..... credo che saranno in vendita dopo il 15 gennaio, se ulteriormente non vengono spostate le date previste di arrivo......
Per quanto riguarda EXPANSYS, perche' il prodotto sia disponibile deve riportare la quantita' disponibile a magazzino.... in questo momento niente... e nemmeno ordinabile in quanto non sanno la data di consegna.

Don't for get all the stuff this has that the iPhone does not.

FM Radio

If the iPhone included these features, the cost could be much higher too. And don't forget either that the iPhone was originally 600. The price on this should come down after it's been out a while.

look at mobileplanet and see how much its there. plus u have it before anyone else so what u expect. if u wait till mobile planet has it then itll be in the 600s if i remember correctly.

Hi All,
Just received my Touch Cruise (Italy ROM) everything is perfect apart the camera key not working (camera software doesn't start)
Key seems working because when pressed it turns on the knob, only the software doesn't start even remapping it to other softwares.
Of course camera works fine when run using touch-flo or program start.
Is this normal? why is the key not recognized?

hehe, had this 'problem' myself as well for the first time. You need to press the camera button harder!
It's like a normal camera button (when you are inside camera app). Press it in and it will auto focus, press it harder and it will make a picture.

But to start the camera app, you actually need to press harder because the focus part of the button doesn't start the camera app.
