HTC TRINITY -Dead?

I have a weird problem.
A friend of mine gave me his Trinity. The problem is:
-suddenly it stopepd working - gone Power Off
-it doesn't respond to:
- power
- reset
- bootloader mode

Battery i guess is charged, it shows almost 4.1 volts.

Can anybody please help? Thank you

Plug in the AC adapter and see if LED is indicating. You might also leave it for a few hours to charge.

no leds indicating, no activity, nothing

i have another question.... i dissambled it and found that the little backup battery was actually ripped off from the board....
should taht be a problem?

It could be .... but not for sure.... try to fix it..... you can't damage it anymore i guess!

The mother board battery is not to be messed with. That keeps the ROM sub logic alive even when the battery is gone. This is one of cases that I would send to service center if I wanted to keep it. Sounds like other things are questionable since the motherboard battery has been tampered with. Sell the case, buttons screen, external bits. But the motherboard is trash. :eek:
