Please try to keep this thread clean, follow the upgrade instructions carefully, read the Wiki and search in the thread before posting. According to the previous threads, most of the questions you can ask have been already answered, so please respect the rules.

As I don't have a TyTN II and no HTC device anymore, my only motivation to continue making new ROMs is to support the large community of users who use my ROMs. I'm doing it for free and put a lot of efforts in this work, so I hope you will support me as well!

I let you know that I'm saving donations and hope I could afford to buy later a TyTN II to work on, so feel free to donate if you would like more and best quality ROMs for Kaiser. Have fun!


Known problems & fixes:

Can't re-align screen: FTouchFLO is not compatible with screen alignment, disable FTouchFLO first (see FTouchFLO development thread).
Can't disable FTouchFLO using the configuration tool: It fails to disable FTouchFLO because the original FTouchFlo link in StartUp directory is marked as system, so it hasn't sufficient permissions to delete it. Delete it manually, then you can enable/disable FTouchFLO normally using the configuration tool.
Solitaire game doesn't work
SuperBright, FlashLite and WM5torage won't work on Kaiser, I forgot to remove them

Hard rest
when phone wants to carry out the customization, soft rest (this will not allow the FTouchFLO Config to install any file to your startup folder)

Ma préférence va pour Touch Commander, sur lequel j'ai basé ma skin, il est personnalisable dans les moindres détails, mais le seul défaut est qu'il soit payant...

Maybe I'm crazy, (and new) but when I installed this rom onto my Tilt, I can't seem to get my Blackberry Connect to work any more. . . and when I try to go into the settings and such for it, my pin stays at Pending. . . It doesn't seem to be connecting to the net. . . Any ideas?

so i am under the assumption i need to flash the 12.17 radio for this rom to work, and i do that the same as flashing a rom...a little off topic but this 4.20 hermes can be used on the hermes after the cid unlock program for hermes and it will also upgrade the hermes to wm6? thanks for the info, this rom is beautiful as well..err from the thumbnails

salut Schap's... j'essaie de suivre mais là je t'avoue que je bug .. lol... j ai installer toutes tes versions depuis le début et je t'en remercie beaucoup, j ai installer ta version 4.20 puis j ai voulu installer la version 4.21 pour avoir le touch flo et à l'instal du flash ca me dit erreur de connection usb ??? alors que ca a toujour fonctionner , mais j ai remarquer que le menu de l instal du flash n ai pas le meme qu' a ton habitude celui-là est à l'image de kaiser je me suis dit que j avais peut être un mauvais flash !!!! peut -tu m aider et m indiquer les directive s 'il te plait pour avoir ta dernière version aec le touch flo? je te remercie d'avance et a bientôt....

Nice rom :) I just had one question. I've been getting this bug for awhile in my own personal rom and finally yesterday i found HTC Home 2.1.1005722 caused it. I was wondering if you have the same thing in your rom :)

and now the bug :
if you keep pressing the turnoff button , you will see the warning message but after choosing yes the device wont turn off instead it will go to stand by mode !! (the phone function will be off).

I'm a total newbie concerning Win Mobile and HTC (have been a Palm addict since years, including Treo ROM cooking :) ). So maybe I still miss some knowledge to help myself.

After reading quite some number of threads for some hours in this forum (which is absolutely great), I trusted myself in flashing your newest ROM (4.21) in my Kaiser, which worked perfectly so far (puhhh ;) ).

Following some issues I've detect up to now, but maybe I just don't know where to look for (options, settings, ...) since this ROM is in use on my Kaiser:

- Smart Dialing does not work at all. Can't find any reason so that.
- I cannot get the soft keyboard (the one on the touch screen) to have a german key layout
- Is it possible to set an option, which of all the available soft keyboard variants shall be used by the system as a default? Normally the "Touch Keyboard" is coming up, but I like the so-called 'normal' "Keyboard" best so far. Would be nice to have this always showing up as a default.
- I desperately miss "Voice Speed Dial". Any chance that this will get into a future ROM version soon?

- And I still try to understand what this "Cube"-thing is and what it's for...

i have radio rom 1.27.12.32 (from german rom, previously).
it seems to work but sometimes i have connection problems with GPRS. Should I change to one of the radio roms in the post above?

Also a small thing but the same as on the Hermes, i get problems on Parrot Car Kits not displaying the Network name unless you change the LongPrefixName to: UMTS (Originally 3G).
Other than that and the other bugs already Mentioned, This ROM is super, Really like the new HTC splash screen.

Nice rom :) I just had one question. I've been getting this bug for awhile in my own personal rom and finally yesterday i found HTC Home 2.1.1005722 caused it. I was wondering if you have the same thing in your rom :)

and now the bug :
if you keep pressing the turnoff button , you will see the warning message but after choosing yes the device wont turn off instead it will go to stand by mode !! (the phone function will be off).

Maybe I'm crazy, (and new) but when I installed this rom onto my Tilt, I can't seem to get my Blackberry Connect to work any more. . . and when I try to go into the settings and such for it, my pin stays at Pending. . . It doesn't seem to be connecting to the net. . . Any ideas?

I tried with BBC 4.0.0.92 and it worked fine for me. The only issue was I can't connect to two apns at the same time (I had seen people had success, I was also able to do so with my S621), which helps a lot as you can be connected to your ISP (for Exchange or any other internet apps that can't use Blackberry apn) at the same time with Blackberry.

Don't know if this is it at all, but some time ago I got this on a Tytn I.
I had altered the keyboard mapping, and had touched some entries in registry that I shouldn't.
I changed these entries to what it was:

This rom was built based on the HTC rom and the HTC rom does not match with 1.27.14.09 (this radio is for AT&T device only without 3G). You need to re-install the 1.27.12.11 or 1.27.12.17 .

Have an HTC unlocked TYTN II and just put your new ROM on it Schapps. For some reason, my exchange is only syncing emails and tasks and ignores calendar items completely. Any ideas folks? I am an AT&T subscriber, but did not purchase the Tilt...I went directly w/ the TYTN II.

Every Rom included CF 3.5

And I cant install TomTom. Cant install the Original HTC TomTom Cab and cant install TomTom from TomTom Home.

Are you hitting "done" after making changes instead of just closing it? Always have to soft reset for changes to take effect.

Sorry, this isn't in direct response to your question but addresses something related.

I also have an AT&T Tilt and had to dump this ROM, even though I enjoyed several features of it, because my radio wouldn't work. I even flashed several of the radio ROMS but that didn't help. Can you hear calls?

Well I don't know... Many people cheered me for cooking Kaiser ROMs, but now it's done I didn't get a lot of feedback, support or bug confirmations, I even didn't get any donation for this work. So I don't know what to think about this first Kaiser ROM... I like to cook if people really use my ROMs, not only give a try. If it's not really what you expected please keep in mind that I'm new in Kaiser and I even don't have a TyTN II to cook.

Sorry, I should have put this feedback down earlier. It was my experience with this build on my Tilt that I was unable to hear on phone calls. I installed the KAIS_Radio_Only_1.27.14.09_CustomRUU which was previously running on Dutty's Titlt Beta2 build and I was still unable to hear calls.

I know that you already donated in the past for my Hermes ROM, like some of you here who switched to Kaiser, that's also a reason why I decided to work especially on a Kaiser ROM. I've never said that donating was compulsory else I would never work on Kaisers ROMs, but I spent a lot of time learning and working on it and so many people asked me to do it, so I wondered you were satisfied with this ROM or not...

Keyboard skins weren't tested on kaiser ROM, so they may be incompatible.

You should be able to install any cube on this ROM, but sometimes it can conflict in case the cube install also include FTouchFLO/Config tool, so you have to configure gestures in Settings > FTouchFLO config.

I didn't know if 850 MHz UMTS band should apply to Kaiser so I didn't add it in this version.

I will look what are the differences with VoIP drivers in Sleuth ROM.

- The speech quality for my BT headset is not very good but it seems that this is a Kaiser problem in general

- The ok button below the track wheel on the left is exiting the application.

Anything else, just great!!!

Sure I still plan to save donations for buying a Kaiser if I could afford (but it doesn't mean that I won't continue Hermes ROMs!).

My first ROM may be a little slow because I don't have a Kaiser to realize and optimize it (but the ROM seems pretty fast according to benchmarks), so I only used general WM6 optimizations and some drivers remodding.

I think I could get a Kaiser for about 600 Euros, yes it could be a good idea to show on my signature the amount of money I need to buy a Kaiser, but I don't have place anymore on my signature and I would have to update it often. I thought donators could post how much they donate to let everybody know about their contribution and I will let you know about the amount I still need...

I am working on a new useful touch app for the next ROM (a little surprise ;) ), I hope I will have enough time to finish it during the week-end.

Not a problem....it's a lot of work on your part...

As for my exchange issue...I deleted the email partnership on the phone first...and then added it back...during the initial Active Sync with exchange through exchange push (not usb cable) it says that is syncing calendar (200 items), but when it's done...no calendar items are there...So it is still an issue...

i was using duttys rom to (excellent work from him!!) but as i said something on it was really burning the battery up, used 40-50% in about 4 hours or less i was so fed up i ended up ordering a touch dual to see if that was any better. then put schaps rom on, now get about 2 days with homail set to pick up mail as it arrives full hsdpa switched on. and sending loads of texts. not sure what the difference is but ive noticed a huge increase in battery life!!

Im a newb and yes i have searched. Maybe im looking for the wrong thing, but im interested in the two backgrounds in the upper right corner. The dark gray withthe blue accents. I found h is Comms manager cab, but cant find the dialpad version. Please help

Hi, I expirienced a problem with the COM Manager. When I switch to Large Button style, the COM Manager will not start. When I switch to On/Off Button style, the layout of the font seems to be doubble. Any idea ?

Hi Schaps - thanks for the ROM work.
A couple of quick questions..
I can't get the 12-button Comm Manager (Purple) to work. Is this a skin? and that I need to have installed 12-button Comms Manager (I could only find the 10 button?
Secondly, Is there any chance you could upload your purple Touch Cube skin?

Very good rom.

Question, on the RSS I want to save the data on my storage memory, I have a 4GB MicroSD. It does not allow me to do that.

Another issue when you dial the numeric pad on the original rom you the contacts by typing the name of the person you want to call, you dont get that.

How do you resolve these issues?

Well I took the plunge and went for this packed ROM and so far so good, many thanks to Schaps :D

One question though, does anyone have the CAB to get back to the original, grey background HTC Audio Player, not really keen on the light blue version.

the ROM is very nice and it work fine. But I have a Problem with then HTC Network Plugin. I have a Notebook and a Buffalo Linkstation (NAS) in my Network. I can connect from my PocktPC to my Notebook very good without any Problems. But when I try to connect from my PocktPC to my NAS then then connection faild. Sooner I hat the original Vodafone Rom on my PocketPC an I had installed Z2PocketLAN and it hat worked fine. But since I flashed my PocketPC, I can not connect with the NAS. What can I do??
