Phone as a modem big problem

I use dial up on my laptop, but when I got my mogul I used my phone as a modem and now when I try to use dial up it's giving me an error message saying modem not found......what im trying to say is it won't let me use dial up any more without searching for my phone's modem.....what can I do to resolve this problem??? its not letting me use dial up anymore... help please and thank you.
