My name is jjae6, and I have some experience with pna (acer d100) in another forum (spanish)
I bought one of these mobile. cectc w800 ????¿¿¿¿
http://cgi.ebay.es/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=140181272179
This mobile seems Artemis P800 model or htc P330 model o Dopod W800 or Cect model, but and "Control Panel -System" mark M600 ??¿¿¿ Artemis M600????, the system is a windows mobile 5 english.
In phone -Settings- Services i select "Voice Mail and text messages" and the system returns with "get seetings" the number service center....all ok.
I have access to the SIM system .. SIM contacts, I do voice calls and receive voice calls, gps ok, all ok.. except...
1 found 1 problem: cannot receive SMS!!! with "Messaging Program" (only send ok)
I try this : the sms found (receive) via "SIM manager" program ,but not displayed in INBOX folder Automatically of "Messaging" program. ¿¿¿????
I think it must be a software problem (bad rom update WM5 english) or settings missing in the registry...., Or anything else corruption or fault software.... Sim manager, tmail or another dll
He made hard reset, reset, remove battery, and I installed other SMS readers and sender, but all are based on "tmail" system....
I even installed another mail handler "tmail" independently: "flexmail" and the same, cannot receiving SMS, only send SMS!!!.
Does anyone know how to fix this? (sms inbox cannot receive) .
I searched all over the forum and I have not found anything. Are there other models that will pass something similar?
I have done a ROM DUMP (itsutils pdocread) if someone wants to see.., znd I can also search the registry. Please help.
Any solution, Please.
Excuse my bad english.
Thanks.

Here is my system rom dump
I think that is not like anything in a artemis system...¿¿???
I think it is a system based on ETEN rather than a artemis... At control panel system mark M600 and the default programs installed write PREI-ETEN...
and In bootloader section, there is a hex mark that puts
"G500 Booter(LB) v0.2 (for PCB v.0.4) Build Date: Nov 22 2005 Total 64MB DRAM Total ??MB DRAM Total 32MB DRAM ..."
#1. Someone I can help with the issue of SMS reception? Thanks.
and
#2. This ppc is a Artemis or Eten system?
Thanks.

I have the same problem with sms. In my cect w800 don't work reset switch. I think cect w800 it's clone of eten g500
He made several roms dumps from binary file:. (eten m500, m600, m700 and w800 system)
I read the contents of these files through a hex editor
#1. m500_wm5 and file:Rilgsm.dll
d:\wm511\platform\m500\src\drivers\rilgsm\atcmd.cp p
#2. m600_spanish215 and file:Rilgsm.dll
d:\wm511\platform\m600\src\drivers\rilgsm\atcmd.cp p
#3. M700_WWE_0354 and file: RilgsmAKU3.dll
g:\wm530\platform\mn1\platform\mainstoneii\src\dri vers\rilgsmaku2_net_20061226\ttpcom\gsm\atcmd.cpp
And finally:
#4 W800 and file:Rilgsm.dll
e:\wm522\platform\m600\src\drivers\rilgsmaku2\atcm d.cpp
Comparing other files, I can say it is based on a system M600, but without WiFi, and possibly with other distribution chip hardware.
I have read in this forum and eten: and even the M700 and X500 Eten systems have problems receiving messages, I found some patches that replace some files: rilgsm and mux. Patch for those systems M700 and X500, but not operate in the W800.
That's all for now.

Hi everybody,
I have an w800 too, to get the sms try at "SIM Manager" and then touch on "Menu"/"SMS Management"
I have Spanish version with WM5, have you guys discovered how to put WM6 on it?
What do you think it will happen if i install an htc p3300 rom on it (it may not have the same hardware)? i would like to upgrade to wm6 with b&b, but i'm afraid if i install it, it won't work the xda at all
I have made a rom backup up with itsutils, do you think i will be able to recover the xda with it if things go wrong? (i don't know how to use that .pak files...)
Hope the info would be useful to you.
Thanks for your replies!

This W800 has peculiar problem. Once you do a soft reset the GSM fails to come back up until battery is removed and put back. Any one knows this issue and any fix? Also the voice quality is not that good and takes quite some time may be 10mins to sync up with GPS program. Gps is detected by sync up with satellite takes 5 to 10mins sometimes even longer

Hi,
I too have the CECT W800 also bought of ebay. I have it on the virgin network in the UK and all ok so far. I've also tried it on Orange network with no problem sending and recieving texts. I have noticed a few times it does lose signal and it wont come back on till i remove and replace the battery. Does any know of a way to power off the CECT W800 without having to remove the battery?
I too want to try different roms but i'm afraid to try them incase they damage the CECT W800 or i cant get it back to original settings if they go wrong.
Has anyone else in the UK got one of these phones?
Thanks,
Mick

I tried to 3 Vodafone Spain SIM.
Even I asked Vodafone with a new sim, and appears the same mistake, only sends sms, not receiving!!!.
Vodafone Spain said his SMS Vodafone Server is configured well, and should be a terminal problem. ???¿¿¿ Soft or hard problem ¿¿??
I have good news:
I got my ROM dump (w800) and compare with another dump (eten m600+), and is practically a ROM copy of eten M600+, but seeing the plastic casing outside, it looks like another model (HTC p3300)

Have you tried to look for your new sms at "SIM Manager" and then on "Menu"/"SMS Management", i think you can get your new sms, but the phone does not give any advice about new messages.
My system version is the same as yours.
Do you think a eten m600+ rom will work on the cect w800? i would like to put wm6 on my terminal...

Yes, in the first announcement I write that: only works with simmanager.
The Rom M600+ files... appear to be the same W800 rom files... but certainly within the "bootloader mode" will not let you enter and update another ROM (m600+)... Because a hardware model W800 verification...
and What is the company of your SIM? Vodafone?

My FM radio wont work either, its first time i tried it since i got it. I've also noticed some of the preinstalled programs have the word ETEN before their names. If you go into the and and remove programs they ae listed there.
They are,

ETEN FM Tuner,
Is there another FM tuner we could download and try using the supplied headphones?

Hi ikar, I now downloading & Unpacking & testing your dump version.
Note: Pdocread show in your console ROM backup "The parameter is incorrect", this is due to pdocread looking for a extendend partition TrueFFS, and the W800 does not exist this partition (that is correct)
Are You sure - rom w800 is copy of rom eten m600+?
There isn't gps in M600+.
Not absolutely, I think w800 is based on the same base M600+ source code.
The file rilgsm.dll of M600+ version show:
d:\wm522\platform\m600\src\drivers\rilgsmaku2\atcm d.cpp
And all the files I dump so far are identical. (also etmux.dll )

HOW TO: Replace / add a file in Windows folder.
======================================
Copy the .cab file to /SDMMC and install in your W800.
This .cab install a "Privileged Execution Trust Authorities".
Now, for example, you can copy a "tmail.exe" different, and copy over the old file tmail.exe
Also this procedure allows testing with another files, .. differents etmux.dll or rilgsm.dll... but I must say that ... By now I failed to receive SMS with the file changes. (various rilgsm and *mux.dll)

DANGER: to undo, we must make a hardreset

Yes i have the dump.... but I even cooked the reverse process ( With files found on the forum eten.)
...I got to cocking a ROM ETEN type file, but in bootloader mode does not recognize as the system (W800 rom system), because in bootloader mode, it checks your hardware W800 version with the new create W800 software... and rejects the update operation.( W800 is based on the M600 +, but not the same thing)
That is, by now, I do not know a cook rom that the W800 system supports.

I seem to be having the same issues with the battery and SMS messages. However, I know I don't have the expertise to fix those problems, but I am desperately trying to find a cable USB driver for this device. I've been searching for days! Can any one help with this?
Thanks!

cable USB driver ? ??????????????????
Hello Ikar...What I mean is the phone has the capability to use as a modem connection for my Laptop. When I plug the phone in with Modem Link enabled, Windows does realize a connection has been made. However, it does not find a suitable driver to interact or talk to the device. I have tried to use the drivers for the HTC P3300, but with no success. This device is very confusing it has the characteristics of the P3300 but does it not understand the driver software for it.
Thanks!

Try Microsoft ActiveSync

Active sync does work but will not work when the Modem Link is enabled. I have no problems syncing my device to windows. But the problem lies when I want to use my phone as a modem so that my Laptop can connect as a client.

No, only external case is a similiar copy.
I think W800 is based on ETEN M600 + hardware. (Eten M600+ rom files are equal )
And furthermore, I think that may have made or distributed by a Chinese company called CECT, but its is only an assumption.

I found a usb modem driver for W800 !!!!! :-)
Now, WindowsXP recognizes W800 as a "M600 usb modem"
I will do more tests and write the results here.

Hello to all,
I have been following this thread for some days because I bought this pda last year. Finaly, last week I received it but I'm sure it is faulty.
First, I cannot syncronize the pda with any pc. I installed active sync but when I connect the pda to the pc nothing happens. I verified the modem link is desactivated.
The GPS doesn't works. I cannot get valid GPS signal. TOMTOM is configured with "other NMEA GPS receiver", baud rate 9600 and to S2410 COM1.
The others problems are the ones reported by the users wrote here - receiving SMS, the radio and soft boot.
Can you please help me? I think I tried everything to solve the problems reported by me but anything works... I even tried to restore to the default settings but it didn't help. WM5 is in english.

I think we should return the phone to the seller now. (Telephone with a lot of problems.) But if you want, you can test it:
1.- Download and Install Activesync with same language in PC (english).
(turn off firewall and turn off Virus detector program)
2.- My application GPS works well with: NMEA - COM4 - 9600 bauds
3.- The phone does not receive sms is a known problem.
Manually workaround: Start - Programs - Phone - Simmmanger - Sms management.
4.- Fm radio: Not working either. (With headsets and without them.)

How to Recognize a "W800 usb modem driver" in Windows XP, for chinese W800 by jjae6
================================================== =============
What is usb modem driver?
Driver program allows for example, to connect your PC or Laptop with cable to the PDA, and through the PDA have an Internet connection via GSM/GPRS. (internet in your PC)
We assume that we have configured correctly W800 (with the data provider's GPRS and have access to the Internet in your explorer W800).
In my case the "modem link" program appears always in a continuous loop, and could not be accessed from XP.
The problem is without these notes, Windows XP does not recognize our PDA because W800 shows some internal software conflicts with modem link. ( W800 is a "perfect system" as everything that is expected of a Chinese clone. ;-) )
Here are the notes.
#1.- Disconnect the cable from the PC to PDA
#2.- In PC windows Xp:
- Activesync 4.5: " File" -"Connection Settings" - Uncheck the box "Allow USB connections"
#3.- In W800:
"Start"- "Settings" - "Connections" - "BEAM" - Uncheck the box "Receive all incoming messages" <--- Important.
#4.- In W800:
Now, execute Modem link- "Start" -"Programs" -"Modem Link"
Select in "Connection" "USB" and press "Activate"
If the system shows error, or an icon waiting appears (continuous loop) , make a W800 reboot and repeat process.
And so the system will remove activesync and other pda memory processes...
#5.- In PC
Well, NOW we connected the cable to the pda and PC....and WindowsXP display a new device detected....
Tell the hardware wizard: no search through the Internet. And we need to indicate the path to the folder where we saved the file "USBMDM.INF".
Windows will install the driver and surely we will reset XP.
If windows XP system reboot, now, deactivate Activesync as #2 point, disconnect and connect W800 cable to PC, and system show
"M600 usb modem"... (Internal Registry "VENDOR_ID and PRODUCT_ID" are identical to G500.) and ........W800 is detected ok.

jjae6, thanks for the help but the main problems persists.
The GPS still cannot find any satellite. In settings -> System -> GPS, I have COM1 for the GPS program port, COM4 for the GPS hardware port with baud @ 9600, and with or withot the box checked in manage GPS automatically the TOMTOM don't show any satellites.
I still cannot connect PDA with PC, even after configuring PDA and PC as you said. I have windows xp in english, active sync in english and pda in english.
Modem link is not in look, as I see it is activated.
I think I will return it to the seller, because of the problems reported earlier.
What is a pda if I cannot use anything except for receive and make calls?
Muchas gracias por todo,
Nuso.

My Tip for W800 phone:
Workaround: Before making a reset, disconnect the phone manually (turn on flight mode, It shows a cross ), and also remove the battery.
So the next time you boot will signal (recognizes and load the phone)

This patch install new version of "sdmemory.dll" and "sdbus.dll" files.
Modus Operandi: decompress the zip on the PC.
1.- Copy and install sdhc.cab with activesync to W800.
or
2.- In your PC. execute SDHC.bat. (Of course connect the cable to W800)
and make a W800 Reset....
In the next boot, This .dll detects the new high-capacity micro SD cards.
(Tested with a 4gb SDhc)

Couple questions about this phone... I'm really on the fence because the price is so cheap (USD$270 w/ 1gig TF) and the next cheapest phone is the Mio A501 for $100 more. I've even found one seller for $250 w/o the 1 gig card - which I wouldn't use anyway.
Is this EDGE or just GPRS? What is the GPRS Class?
About the radios not coming back online, is it only when the battery runs out? I never let my phone run out of battery so it wouldn't really concern me but it would be irritating if it was a frequent thing.
How stable is the OS on this phone? Is it OK for day to day stuff or will I be fighting with it non-stop? Right now my Wizard is really showing its age and it'll lock up randomly in my pocket. It's also had significant problems staying connected to GPRS - it "forgets" the connection and needs to be reset often.
I'm very interested in this phone due to the price and features but to be honest, I'm REALLY leaning towards the Mio. For $100 more, I get quad-band, I know it's EDGE, all the applications in the phone tie into the GPS (SMS and photo are location aware and tag the coordinates), and I know who the Mio company is.
But I'm still interested in this because 100 bucks is still 100 bucks.

hi, The Artemis is not EDGE. unsure about the class of GPRS, just Google it, or look on HTC website. The ROM is very stable, and you always have the option of putting a cooked ROM on if you dont like it :) I've personally never had a problem with the radio not connecting, and i've had the phone completely run out (back-up battery too lol). The only downside i have found is the crapness of the camera.
If you want another phone to look at to tempt you, have a look at the HTC Touch Cruise: http://www.htc.com/product/03-product_htctouch_cruise.htm
Good luck!

After a long time, and many hours employees ....
I managed to upgrade the W800 with latest several roms (M600 source based system) from Eten rom original files, with several different results:
#1.- Rom M600 loaded in W800:
Results. No rom update because bootloader show Bad Id hardware, and stop by hardware check, because the w800 system has a modified bootloader of G500.
#2.- Rom M600+ loaded in W800:
Windows mobile boots with some failures, and show a displaced screen.
#3. - Rom G500+ loaded in W800:
Windows mobile boots and works, but does not recognize the microSD card (SDMMC not shown)
#4. Rom G500 (G500_WWE_0110) in W800:
Windows mobile boots and works perfectly
But you see the same mistake: not receiving sms.( The W800 ROM must be identical to G500 installed )
So, I saw the bootloader file shows some G500 texts...
So, NOW, I can say :
The W800 is a internal hardware clone of Eten G500 (If it is not the same)
That's all for now.
Excuse my bad english.

Hi,
I wonder what the dimensions of this phone are. Various ebay listings and sites provide all kinds of sizes: from the huge and heavy 119x62x23 mm, 191g to the thin and light 106X58X14MM, 107g.
So what are the real dimensions?

He made several roms dumps from binary file:. (eten m500, m600, m700 and w800 system)
I read the contents of these files through a hex editor
#1. m500_wm5 and file:Rilgsm.dll
d:\wm511\platform\m500\src\drivers\rilgsm\atcmd.cp p
#2. m600_spanish215 and file:Rilgsm.dll
d:\wm511\platform\m600\src\drivers\rilgsm\atcmd.cp p
#3. M700_WWE_0354 and file: RilgsmAKU3.dll
g:\wm530\platform\mn1\platform\mainstoneii\src\dri vers\rilgsmaku2_net_20061226\ttpcom\gsm\atcmd.cpp
And finally:
#4 W800 and file:Rilgsm.dll
e:\wm522\platform\m600\src\drivers\rilgsmaku2\atcm d.cpp
Comparing other files, I can say it is based on a system M600, but without WiFi, and possibly with other distribution chip hardware.
I have read in this forum and eten: and even the M700 and X500 Eten systems have problems receiving messages, I found some patches that replace some files: rilgsm and mux. Patch for those systems M700 and X500, but not operate in the W800.
That's all for now.

I think that the Fm radio problem is due to the radio-ROM, radio-ROM independent of windows mobile rom (another rom)
I find a file called "G500_GPS_Firmware_Update.zip", this file update the GPS FM-ROM , I am studying this too.
----------------
Soon, I think, will make a tutorial for backup and restore A ROM W800 phone.
----------------
Well,
I have installed the patch, I see.. this "G500_BT_Audio_patch1_2(2).CAB" install a two files:
1.- A old "rilgsm_6db.dll" (downgrade?)
Internal hex shows a wm511 compilation for M600:
d:\wm511\platform\m600\src\drivers\rilgsm\atcmd.cp p
This file:rilgsm_6db replaces the file rilgsm.dll (wm522 based)
And, I do not know exactly what it does, maybe 6 dB improvement?
and
2.-wavedev_g500_audio2.dll
And, I do not know exactly what it does, wave improvement for bluetooth or speaker sound?
Best Regards.

Hi people, I’ve been trying to search around the net for info, but it is very hard to come by for this mobile. Sorry if anything I ask/mention has been covered elsewhere, but I promise I’ve looked before posting!
In addition to the soft-reset phone problem I have noticed the following:
The screen seems to chop off around 1-2px from the left hand side of the screen – it looks like the entire display has been shifted a few px to the left. Normally you don’t notice, but occasionally icons etc get chopped off if too close to the side.
The screen stylus re-calibration software hangs WM5, so your forced to reboot.
Anyone know fixes to either prob?
Finally, what connector does the mobile use for it’s data cable? Want to know so I can buy extra cables or things like headphone converters if needed later.
Thanks.
jjae6, looking forward to the info on upgrading - kudos for all your research so far

Have the same mistake (fm radio) because it, i think, must be the same ROM.
I think, but I can not verify that, if we do a GPS ROM update should be open the FM radio.
At http://www.trendsmobile.com/main/showsection.asp?SectionID=156&ParentID=140 see file: "GPS Firmware Updated":
"The firmware update improves the FM Radio Tuner quality. Instructions for the update is attached in the zip file."
and file: "Eten G500 FM Tuner"
" FM Tuner which would be bundled in the future ROM upgrades.
As the FM Tuner utilises the TMC (component of the GPS) protocol, best reception is obtained when outdoor.
Copy all the 3 files in the zipped file to a directory in the internal memory. For convenience in lauching the program, create a shortcut in the \Windows\Start Menu\Programs folder. You will need to insert the stereo wired headset included with the G500 to activate the FM Tuner."
But beware, this is for the G500, and I do not know what results will be released on the W800 firm.......

SMS TRICK
In my w800 sms are working now !!!!!!!!!. It's no solution but after them sms are working ok. I found information there (URL="http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=279862&highlight=sms+skschema+script)
In our w800 problem is in radio state after reboot. When we use after start script radio off from skschema - w800 is getting sms normally. I think our problems are in registry settings , not in software-firmware(rom)
jjae6j your news is very bad ,

Please try it this: "radiooff.exe"
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=252380&page=2
and this registry is for another pda...
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\HTC\FlightMode]
"IsFMCheckEnable"=dword:00000000
"WarningMsg"="Please turn Flight Mode off first"
Change "IsFMCheckEnable"=dword:00000001 to "IsFMCheckEnable"=dword:00000000
I think that this registry will not work on your W800.
You can try & put "the desconector fm radio " on "windows/startup/" so every time the system starts, fm will be Disconnected / off.

For GPS FIRMWARE UPDATE, need tester.
I think for update rom you must be
1) install the update rom 097 and after the rom 110
For the SMS is very simple
You must go to program settings and sim card, he take directly to the sim the parameters to send and received.
In mine in 2 second maes, after total reboot. never problem

You can try this:
Rom loader SDcard method:
Format your microSD as FAT (microSD: less or equal than 1 GB)
Rename "temp.dat" to "temp.bin" and copy to microSD card.
copy your "USBDLUpdate_Console.exe" (found with temp.dat in %temp% PC directory) to microSD card.
Put your W800 in bootloader mode.
(The battery must be charged, or the power cable connected.)
Warning:This is the ultimate solution, I have no responsibility for this procedure. You can lose your bootloader.( If this procedure goes wrong.)
Luck!!!

Hi, I also have a W800, have had it for a few months now but i never used it because the first day i received it, everybody told me that my phone was switched off due to the sim not being recognised after reset, i then found out that it will work if you remove the battery and replace it. Being very angry with the phone and also since the fm radio does not work i just left it in the box.
Is there any difference installing G500 097 rom for the fm radio to work or another rom?.
Also since not all of us are capable of making a backup of our own rom, if it is possible can someone host a backup of the w800 rom so we can download etc.. and use on our own phone if something happens etc.. also if you have found a better rom for w800, it would be nice if you could host this too so that ppl like me can download and use especially after you have made it work on w800, becaus ei have no idea how to convert a rom.

Only JJae6 has said that he has loaded latest g500 rom then his w800 went bust, the rest just mentioned loading a russian rom which is not neccessarily a new rom!!
I had also read jjae6's pdf files but i still find it hard to make my own backup rom or convert g500 rom for w800, is it not possible for someone to host these roms after they are made, so as to help ppl like me who do not understand so much these things?

I have checked to receive and send sms you must go to-
settings under personal click phone, then go to services and highlight ''voice mail and text messages'', now click get settings, you should now have the mobile provider text messages service center number, if not ask mobile service provider and enter manually. In my voice mail box i have not any number so I assume if i try voice mail it will not work but i have never used voice mail here.

Ok, we knows now, the W800 is a copy of ETEN G500
He have the program to listen FM RADIO (not runs)
Problem with SMS received in most country on the world.
Problem with Phone if stop the baterie at start.
Now.
1) A ROM is composed into 2 parties
a) FMRADIO (is the drivers of phone and pda)
b) ROM OS (The windows and program)
anything knows how extract in 2 parties this?
If we take THE ROMRADIO(drivers) with the las rom for ETEN G500 and the last ROM OS for ARTEMIS in WM6
Can we make a special ROM for W800?
For newers (me) the rom must be in .EXE for install directly from SDCMM card, no take wtih the DOS or other from PC......
A solution? Anything kows how make it?

It is not known, there is no application loader (and original rom) for the W800 ROM.
I only got how to extract the "base ROM" ( part of your "b" part = imgfs_raw_data.bin) with pdocread....
The problem is that party (his b) should be cooking to be loaded on ROM (temp.dat).
For that, we take the "temp.dat" G500 template file, and placed inside the file created by pdocread (w800 data file imgfs_raw_data.bin).
That means "temp.dat" is a container (imgfs_raw_data.bin) with much more information including the bootloader.....

The matter is now known that the W800 is not a artemis ...Ie only pick what they serve for a Eten G500
In previous post, I wrote a file that updates the G500 ROM RADIO.
I think "G500 rom radio"= "GPS firm" + "radio FM"
So far nobody has charged this firm (g500 rom radio) in your W800.
I only got to load a coocked ROM "temp.dat" through: (read my .pdf)
1. ActiveSync
2. Without activesync
3 .- through microSD.
That is all ,I Until I broke my W800.... I am not able to help more, this is what I know.

Hello.
If your system run well....not neccessarily a new rom!!!
and...
Yes, My W800 broke, I loaded at least 15 times the ROM. And I believe that this chip RAM is not ready for such charges ....
I think that the system "mark blocks damaged" ( Every time start a Rom load procedure) and you run out of memory useful for upcoming charges of ROMs ....

I think the ROM G500 is identical to W800, except the bitmap W800 boot.
You can download the G500 v110:
http://www.eten-users.eu/index.php?showtopic=25
I think that if you have problems, will having it....I believe that in your W800 ROM is loaded a G500 v110 rom.
I think it would require a review of some dll files, Among others "etmux.dll" and "rilgsm.dll", dll communicating with the sim card.....While not have an updated ROM for W800 or G500, I think we will have the same problems....

This .bin file is a unknown format and very different to G500 rom.
This .bin not responding to decompression through "viewimgfs.exe"..
I find hex text as "Accelerated Technology Internal Use Only - Serial Number: NP0000 ..... Copyright (c) 1993-2000 ATI - Nucleus PLUS - Version ARM 7/9"
And a search to google... this is a RTOS Embedded Systems from memtor.com... i think this rom is not a windows mobile system

In previous days (Before bricking my W800 in my rom update), I bought in a Internet Bazaar a USB charger cable for Cect P168 (iphone clone Chinese).

Hi there,
I finally sat down and followed JJAE6's instructions and flashed my w800 with eten wwe v110, activesync method.
Regarding the radio it do not work as all of you said and i think it can never work because the gps chip inside w800 is probably not the same as in g500, the g500 is sirf3 + extra radio chip or whatever, the w800 nobody know but if it were the same the radio would work. Regarding simcard not being recognised after reset, this is prbably also due to different gsm/gprs chip inside w800 , I think all the probs are hardware related not software related although maybe could be fixed by software but not by usung g500 rom or modifying g500 rom with and parts of w800 rom because i think and so does jjae6 that both roms are identical. For all of us to be sure someone needs to open w800 and identify what gps and gsm/gprs chips are used inside w800 and compare them to that of g500.
Thanks
i am staying with g500 rom as all works, the same as w800, tested gps and it does seem faster but maybe i am imaging i dont know, reception on gps also seems better without antenna but again maybe i am imaging.
any comments...
My final opinion is for the price of the w800 i think it is a true bargain as gps works 100%, windows programs 100% also, and gsm capabilities at the moment seems ok.
When calling other party say to me that volume is very low anybody have same problem, maybe it is only my microphone that is not so good??

Radio will never work on w800 because w800 uses Antaris 4 chipset for GPS whilst g500 uses sirfstar3 with fmTMC receicer. So in w800 there is no fm receiver due to use of Antaris chipset for gps.

No fm receiver due to use of "antaris chipset": Ho ho ho!! :D :D :D :D
Then .. We must take, search, the original ROM of china !!!
I think...Chinese? person who turned this model into different languages (English, Spanish, German ...) simply took a firmware compatible (g500), but not at 100%.... Good job boy!!! :-(
Until we have that firm Chinese, I believe that there is nothing to do.
( sms problems..., GSM start problems.... and fm discarded offcourse)
This is my opinion.

I just bough a W800 during my recent trip in China and also found its SMS not receiving. I have gotten it to work, but need more testing.
This is how I tried:
Try to send SMS to your own number, on mine, the first SMS is going nowhere but the second and so is ok, however when the unit is on standby sometimes it bis not receiving.
This is what I did:
1. Apply the Autosuspend patch.cab (from eten)
2. copy the new SMS_Providers.dll using Total commander to the \Windows subdirectory
3. Add these entries in the registry:
HKLM\comm\cellular\sms\protocols\Class2
AppName=tmail.exe
DLL=SMS_Providers.dll
ExportPrefix=Class2
Name=Microsoft SMS Class2 Protocol
Params=-Class2
Priority=19 (Dec)
All are string, except Priority is Dword
I did this based on looking at registry entries of my other windows mobile phones and they were included but missing from the W800.
I do not have a clear understanding of exactly what I did, but after resetting the unit, it is now receiving SMS, if any, missing the first one and there after never miss ones even during standby ....
However, someone with better knowledge must know better, I welcome anyone to test/report as how their unit perform

Has anyone tried pairing a bluetooth GPS unit with the W800?
I bought one for better reception, but sadly the handset doesn't even see the GPS unit! I've managed to pair the GPS unit to my PC and a Sony K700i.
I've been looking for extra USB cables for this unit too!
I noticed jjae6 mentioned that one of the CECT imitation iPhones has the same connector, but wired differently. As I'm not so hot with re-wiring/soldering cables like that it would be nice if I could buy one which works from the get go!

Anyone have these problems?
I can load phone only by USB cable. It do not work without USB cable.
If i leave phone to load it loads until i get message that 1% battery left and stops loading.
Also i can't activate USB cable with my PS and when i insert sim card, phone do not recognize it :(
Is it possibly to repair these problems?

Winer, I had a similar problem with my unit - it turned out to be a faulty battery, mines came with two, so I use the spare now. The mobile won't sync with your comp unless you have ActiveSync/Device Centre installed. The sim one I don't know unless it's inserted wrong?

Hi samali...I can not verify this (sms reception), but .... i see
The new sms_providers.dll is a dll "signed" and 6 difference found. (and the added certificate difference)
Offsets: hexadec.
new old
138: 5C 00
139: 5F 00
13A: 01 00
179: 8C 00

17D: 05 00
Well in http://ozekisms.com/index.php?owpn=223, i find that:
SMS message types Class2
SMS:TEXT:GSM7BIT:CLASS2 ===> A text SMS message. Class2 indicates that the message should be stored on the SIM card.
I think.....
The registry "HKLM\comm\cellular\sms\protocols\Class2" , this record makes the method of access to the "SMS", ie with the sim card directly.... so if we could access the sms by "simmanager" workaround, But not through tmail ( so far) by that branch missing (class2) of the registry.... This may be a good explanation...

I think it is possible, I think it was modifying the registry and associating the COM6 ... But now I can no longer check.

I think that your battery does not make good contact with the 3 pins.
Remove the cover, remove the battery, place the battery and push the battery upwards until you hear a little "click". Try it.
For your sim card... close de gsm phone with your up icon "flight mode ---> x appears", make a softreset....and remove the battery.. put your battery and start.

Try to install this .cab in your W800.
But before save everything, or make a backup, since, if not working must be make a reset..
DO NOT extract this file, copy this .cab in your memory card or memory phone and run.

a rom possible?
Do we need a rom? The unit works fine after-all - unless the reception has somehow been reduced from using the G500 rom. That may be a point though - even with the patch antenna installed I find the recpetion to be wanting at best. It takes a good few minutes to get a fix, where my parent's Garmin will do so in under a min. Is there any way for WM devices to take advantage of the A-GPS?
I think it is possible, I think it was modifying the registry and associating the COM6 ... But now I can no longer check.
That part should be fine - my problem is when searching for bluetooth devices the GPS unit doesn't even show up :(. I know I'd doing the pairing right because it works with other devices (PC etc). And my W800 works because I use a Jabra BT320 regularly.

Did a little more digging - the Antaris chips don't have as good sensitivity to sirfstar without the SuperSense firmware loaded. I'm doubtful that the better firmware is loaded given the additional costs. Shame we can't attach a JTAG connector and had the 'better' firmware handy to flash up it's firmware!
I take it there would be no other way of flashing the GPS chip?

Hi There,
I have paired a BT-308 bluetooth GPS with my w800 without any probs at all and tested on tomtom, it works perfect. Regarding the onboard Antaris gps chipset I think it probably has the new firware inside and they are or should be on par with sirf3, so i think it takes time to lock on satellites due to no antenna, i dont know exactly but is there an antenna inside where the antaris is attached to give more reception maybe JJAE^ can reply he took his apart.
when i tested w800 with its external antenna it will lock on sats in the same time as my bt-308 bluetooth gps , and this proves that w800 internal antenna is the problem for slow or no sat lock... ie. bt gps and ext. antenna have nearly same size metal antenna inside, i doubt phone has and metal antenna inside
PS. I am running g500 wwe 110 soft and found it to work identical to w800 soft. The windows version is the same so i think they are both identical roms just changed the header when resetting.

Hi Aqualogic, I see
Antenna 1.
In the file I sent you "w800_strip_jjae6.pdf", on page 10 there is a metallic coating (that protects all the chips), the coating makes contact through two metal wings above until the two sides of the outer metal of our W800 casing
Antenna 2.
On page 1, 2
In the casing that brings speakers and is open to the battery at the bottom has two contact with a metal surface hidden.
PS. I am running g500 wwe 110 soft and found it to work identical to w800 soft. The windows version is the same so i think they are both identical roms just changed the header when resetting.

1 .- Is it possible that the bluetooth is blocked by anything application? Make a reset.
2 .- Look for the "taskmanager" ((TaskMgr.exe) pocket application at internet, and see services and drivers installed and available.. and put here your data...Maybe some service is not started.

I think we should work on finding the original ROM chinese for this model.
We can imagine the original W800 & ROM chinese will not be based on G500 ROM english that we sold them all.
Once I found that, all these problems will disappear and the only possible work would translate this chinese rom into English language or all other flavors....
In other words I can imagine that the G500 Rom is fully compatible for a Eten g500 hardware and not for this W800....

You don't HAVE to plug in the external ariel, but it does help the signal - especially at the start of your journey when the handset is trying to get a lock on the satelites. I find mines takes about a minute or two beforeit starts tracking.
Also in some build-up areas it's hard to get a lock without the external ariel.

That should be ok since usual gps devices has 45 seconds cold star so minute is acceptable.

ummm.... This seems to have good appearance ... :):)
He managed to register at the forum Chinese.--ok,
I downloaded this "w800.rar" and...
This is file with a 79.4 Kb compressed and 131072kb uncompressed!!!
I saw that in the header file [0...fff] is the G500 bootloader, everything below data is filled with zeros..... FAKE!!!
On the other hand, I followed another link in the same post (m8cool), and I installed also a thunder program (in chinese) to download a thunder:// link (thunder is a application similar to a emule for china)...
But this link is for a Eten X500 with WM6 .. BAD NEWS for now....

Edit: Tested >>> 100% Fake rom for w800 ... :(
Can somebody upload the sms.dll from an other wm5 mobile which can receive sms?
Does it exist a program to have a sim sms incoming notification? Or is it possible to make a simple one?

Here is sms.dll if you want to try:
It seems like we are the minority here, cooking custom rom is not that hard, however since the W800 is not widely available and most of the expert probably do not have them so it is up to us to get anything going if it worth our effort and time.
I did some more test on the W800,
On mine, it received sms but not stable, more often, the first sms send to it self failed, and there after it is ok but, especially after the system goes to standby mode for extended period of time, it is not receiving anymore. I tried several things, replacing sms.dll, sms_providers.dll even ril.dll. so far the best combo that I have is using the attached sms.dll and seems like sms_providers.dll does not affect much. But changing the ril.dll from XDA atom makes the gsm portion not working.
After doing some research , I found out that the ril.dll (Radio interface layer) is customized to the gsm hardware. It is the layer that sits between the various application to the gsm module. From the rom, it seems like the w800 gsm module(eten) is made by CMCS (Chi Mei Communication System). However, the one eten used in the G500 is Quadband GSM module, while the one used in W800 is Tri-Band version, meaning there is some differences in the GSM module between eten G500 and W800 (minor so as most function works). I believe this is the reason for GSM module not available after reset, and various sms behavious that we are experiencing. I am trying to locate a tri-band cmcs driver to try, and I found that the moto mpx200 might as well using tri-band cmcs gsm module. But I was not able to locate the ril.dll driver.
Also if we can locate the rillog.dll, we can enable the gsm log and can found out what's going on between the gsm and the unit.. Please look at this link

I do not believe the W800 were selling in china and can not received sms. So after the Chinese New Year is over I am going to contact my friend in china and ask him to see if he can get me the chinese rom from the seller.
Mean while there is so many WM5/WM6 rom kitchen out there in the web including XDA-Developers. So if any one who are experts enough might be able to cook one for W800 that would be nice..

Hi samali13
Yes, I have been saying this for some time.... We need the original ROM.
The software is tied to the hardware
For the other hand, for those who do tests,. Dll must be signed (certificated).
A good program to see if the "Dll" have started is "taskmanager"
http://www.dotfred.net/TaskMgr.htm
http://www.dotfred.net/TM/images/svcmgr.gif
This program allows you to view the "services" and "drivers" TAB and
- Start/Stop service
- Set automatic or manual
- Enable/Disable
For example, you can view the new test file pilot "ril.dll" and see if it is loaded or not, and if he has not loaded, forcing manually to load....This is what I remember, since I can not experience more. Before the crash, I had installed all Dll from all Eten models without success....should seek other DLL from a similar hardware ...

Hi Guys, although I am an electronics design fella, the software side still slows me down, and this CECT W800 is driving me mad. It was supposd to be sent as an English phone, mine is Italian. Looking to edit or replace mxip_lang.vol and I just cannot copy it to the PC for editing. Do you guys know of a better way or am I wasting my time. Like the phone but its a pain in the neck trying to navigate in a language I don't understand. Thanks.

If you want to put the W800 in another language: english .
You must make a change in the internal REGISTRY. ( WITH A REGISTRY EDITOR PROGRAM, the taskmanager application of the previous post can serve with "Regedit" tab, see photo.)
Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\MUI and change "SysLang" value to "0409" (dword hex)....
Must see this:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\MUI]
"SysLang"=dword:00000409
and make a soft reset!
Obviously should have files in the folder "windows" ending with "*.0409.mui" example "bbresdll.0409.mui" , "commdlg.0409.mui".... (but with the expolorer windows may not see the file extension because file explore hides, you should take another "file explorer program", eg: "resco", "total commander"..)
So the windows mobile system boots and pick the language "0409" English.
With this procedure will have a "mixed system" language, because there are still many things to translate .. But rather improved.

Hi guys and many thanks to jjae6. I installed Task Manager which really made the job much easier, so the registry is set up. Looking through the windows file there are no 0409 files, just 0416.
Heck of a question but would you happen to have or have access to bbresdll.0409.mui and commdlg.0409. Maybe you have a WM5 sys with these files.
Many thanks. (So near but so far from fixing it!)

Yes, I had the ROM in English and I can get rid of all 0409.mui files..
Once you have this files, you have to copy them with a external file explorer in the /windows folder.
OR
You can also, although it is more dangerous, you can load the Eten G500 English-ROM in your W800.....But I would not make this step, if your mobile works well.

Hi there :) I've just registered in the forum.
I bought a W800 last week, and ... its does not inform when a sms arrives as also reported in this thread by many other people.
My question is, would it be worth and possible, to make an application that accesses the SIM card and notifies in the OS the user that a NEW sms has arrived? Does any described ROM's in the thread put SMS receiving notices working?
Thank you for any help you can give.

Another for the collection!!!
There is no available ROM that works OK for now.... only original W800 chinese ROM is supposed to work fine.
I think all the programs that are designed to interact with the software at "a low level ", type "ril.dll" "etmux.dll"..., all these do not work...Because the firm loader in your W800 is another device (eten g500), and not the ROM genuine chinese.
But there is a workaround, "Simmanager" application from your W800 has an option to interact with the SIM card and manually retrieve SMS messages.
Someone could debug & disassemble (assembler machine code) simmanager.exe and see exactly who makes the program, and write a time loop program code verification with the party that takes the SMS......Ie, very difficult.
My advice, return the phone to the sheller or write to your vendor and say that the phone is not working... and ask and ask for the chinese ROM...There are real mysteries to be solved.

I already messaged the entity who sold it to me at ebay.
I thought in doing a Windows Mobile Service, implemented in C++ (the service part) and doing some DLL in VB.NET. My objective is too check the SIM card, for instance, on every 30 secs, and in case of checking that a new sms has arrived, would inform the user of it. I've never programmed for mobile devices, but it doesn't seem impossible..
about disassembling, I must confess I know nothing about it.. maybe a guru at work knows something about it...
PS: Sometimes the damn device loses conection to the SIM card, and that can make the proposal I did before into a complete loss of time :(.

Since the firmware is based on the Eten device, they (Eten) don't have an actual power button - you have to remove the battery or the battery cover itself has a magnet that trips a reed switch on the motherboard.
I was hoping the problems with this phone would have been licked by now! I ended up buying an Eten x600 and I have my share of problems, too... the ROM on the x600 isn't very mature and it just acts odd compared to a HTC device.

Yes, you can download the activesync version of their native language....
that is not the problem... :)
The problem may occur in some W800, among other problems, Not alert you when an SMS text has arrived ... ...
Since the W800 seller has made a botched eten G500 clon. (W800 Hardware is different from the original Eten G500), yet the dealer had charged that firmware within the W800 (possibly by the availability of ROM in English or other languages other than W800 Chinese original).. Software firewall? ummmm.... Rare....I think all the problems come from the ROM software loaded, which is from another hardware different system.
We have to look & search now, the original ROM chinese ( this ROM chineses software will have a Dll's hardware controllers, and they must work well.... Like most every Chinese ... ) and explore and study subsequently to turn this chinese ROM into English or another languages.

Hi winner22.
No, The cable for Cect P168 is identical externally to W800, but internally welding pins are in a different way. (And for now I can not check the correct distribution of the W800 pinouts)

That only means that my W800 for uploading roms and be wrong / corrupt, I thought not charged battery (not lit light), and that's why I said that the cables were different. (Or there are several models of cables, but I do not think)
That news, then cables P168 also serve for the W800!!! (Unless someone says otherwise.)

Hello, I understand that you want to make the W800 is a external gps to Pc.
In other words, you need to create a virtual port on your pocket PC and manage it on your PC.
One of these programs can be: FransonGPSgate
Franson GpsGate is a software program that allows you to share your GPS signal with just about everything on your Pocket PC, computer and even with other computers and devices over Bluetooth or a network - GPS is shared beween several applications:
http://franson.com/gpsgate/
and a tutorial:

Hi ikar...
In my case this has not worked ever. (Everything is testing in your W800)....
Yes I know that there are people in the world with a W800 receiving sms perfectly, I guess it also depends on many factors such as the ROM version and the mobile phone operator .... But of course there are many people affected.

TO HAVE YOUR SMS JUST REMOVE YOUR PIN CODE AT THE START OF THE PHONE (You can disable it in the phone setting)
Now,I wanna your congrats

Ps: with that,we can know the problem I think.I think that when you enter the pin code, the phone doesnt unlock the sms network.. When you have a new sms,the sim card need to look for the entered pin code and doesnt find it or find a wrong one so the sms are not showed and are stocked. Its my theory, maybe its wrong ^^

Yes, I had the ROM in English and I can get rid of all 0409.mui files..
Once you have this files, you have to copy them with a external file explorer in the /windows folder.

Hello this will only work if the version installed on your W800 (e.g. v100 italian) is the same as the files to copy (eg v100 english)
But this procedure it remains a fudge, only how to experiment and the system stays still many things to translate, some text data in the registry......
and You only succeed, if goes well, a mixed system with two languages...
Not recommended!!!
The right step: by a PC program must be loaded a version of their language (eg Eten G500 (v110) english ) within your W800....
Why the other hand, the LCD colors might have been loosened the hardware connection or not making a good contact internally? Any blow on the floor?

I dont understand what your saying. Exactly how do I edit the registry to change to english. If I cant do it Ill get rid of this crappy phone. Phone is brand new had 4 one day and I cant take this crap.

Can you explain step by step which move you make, so what settings for a good receiving SMS?.

I have the REAL solution ^^ MOUHAHAHA, Sorry but Im so happy !!!!
TO HAVE YOUR SMS JUST REMOVE YOUR PIN CODE AT THE START OF THE PHONE (You can disable it in the phone setting)
Now,I wanna your congrats
Regards
Ps: with that,we can know the problem I think.I think that when you enter the pin code, the phone doesnt unlock the sms network.. When you have a new sms,the sim card need to look for the entered pin code and doesnt find it or find a wrong one so the sms are not showed and are stocked. Its my theory, maybe its wrong ^^
Did someone find out how the FM-radio works.
Mine says; No fm data come in.
With the file-explorer I found in windows the help file. Maybe there is a setting file for the radio.
I have installed IGO8 maps and they are working fine ( good GPS signal input ) and easy installing.
Further I have bought by www.dealextreme.com
a Leather Case and a Silicon Protective Case
The Leather Case matches perfectly.
I there somewhere a matching cradle too buy or one I can remake? Our other stuff?
What program is a must-have?

The soft reset is bugged on the phone. I mean by hard reset only the fact to remove the battery and put in again in the phone. You have just to remove the Sim pin fonction at the Phone setting. So when the phone starts, you wont have to enter the sim code and you can phone and RECEIVE sms.
Sorry for my bad english and the confusion.

I confirm that I have all my sms incoming from registered or unregistered contacts. Maybe you have installed and activated a black list program or something like that. You should retry cause you sould keep your contact on the sim card, its more secure.
Nb: I have noticed that a lot of programs cant use the sim repertory so copy all your sim contacts to your phone memory too and you shouldnt have no more problem.

You can click at differents tabs : e.g. "drivers tab" o "services tab" (Tap the arrow next to the tabs) and view a "dll" associated within W800 registry (move the bar of the window), by this procedure you can discover and associate your comm ports

Hi
Sorry I can not prove nothing, because I do not have the W800.
Nothing good can be expected from this W800!
But you can try to open in the PC :Control Panel - System - Hardware tab and see if the modem is installed and even vary its speed connection
http://www.modemsite.com/56k/xptip.asp
You can view a Dial-Up Networking Errors list:
http://www.modemsite.com/56k/dunserror.asp
I would also see how it responds the phone at Telnet mode console (commands "AT HAYES"),
P.S: To all the people who help me by a $0.5 or more $...... I will send a private link to my pdf file ( High resolution images of the W800 disassembly pieces), With these donations contributes to my W800 foundation. ;-)

The recognition process must be automatic (Plug & play).
In "The activesync icon" (taskbar): click the "right mouse button" to show a drop-down list, in "Connections Settings" - must be enabled "Allow Usb connections" and "open activesync when my device connects"
Have you tried.. to disconnect the anti-virus and firewall software (or enable ports)?
Have you tried.. you plug the cable into another computer?
Many things you can be read here:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/help/activesync/default.mspx
If all this does not work, it's possible that the cable does not make good contact or because our wonderful software phone (There is a activesync icon in the W800, or something similar, where it must choose the USB cable.)

Hi everyone,
I see we have all been having such fun with these cect phones. It is a great shame actually as it is one of the few to come out of the cect family with a WM platform, even though it is a very good copy of the real Microsoft WM5.
Basically, the W800 is quite a good phone/pda, the problem is that all the OEM and SYS files can be shipped out in different languages, (mine included).
So we are left with the singular problem in that nobody has a flashable ROM that will fix this thing and dispell all the pundits.
Before reducing my phone to a pretty brick, I did take a backup of this rom and I am now in the process of building this rom back up again into a useable form, a friend of mine is also looking at the 'soft reset', or lack of it, issue. JJae6 has worked hard to delve into this thing and has also posted the full rom in .RAR. So when I get my rom built up again with a few other little nicey's added I will share it with you, but by then at least we WILL have a ROM that we can flash in, then we can look into taking this machine a little further. Anyone know of an RUU that works with this thing so that I can make it an easy job for anyone to do. The other option I am considering is to use the T-Flash card to upgrade the thing automatically all in one hit, plug it in and let it go, so to speak. Comments welcome.

Hi,I have been following this thread and have had the same problems others have been reporting but my worst problem is the phone reception.
The signal strength can go from 4 bars down to none,If I hold the phone up to the window at my home I can get a good signal but if I turn around
it can it can drop all the way down. This problem also happens at different locations. As a result I am constantly having calls where the voice cuts in
and out and sometimes I cant make a call.
I have put my sim card in a cheap nokia and I get constant full strength and I have flashed the rom with 2 versions for the eten g500 but it made no difference.
I also cant get into phone settings,it always says wait 15 seconds and try again although twice in the past it let me in.
Anyway I was wondering if anyone else has noticed these problems and if anyone has any suggestions. I would also like to thank everyone who has helped out in this thread.

Hi lekkie.
Yes, I know the method to load the ROM from the memory card. (Sdcard method)
The user should know how to make the W800 in bootloader mode.
It is a dangerous process, and not recommended, only as a last resort, and only when it is not possible to ROM upgrade through the cable, or an error has appeared...
And if that does not work.... there is no going back (not known for now).
You can try this:
Rom loader SDcard method by jjae6:
=================================
You need to read and understand other methods to ROM load through cable and should know hot to put the W800 in bootloader mode.
Read my previous Tips pdf post..
Well....
We need a card reader/writer for PC.
Format your microSD as FAT (microSD: less or equal than 1 GB)
Rename "temp.dat" to "temp.bin" and copy to microSD card. (select last G500 w110 version rom)
Copy your "USBDLUpdate_Console.exe" (found with temp.dat in your %temp% PC directory) to microSD card.
Insert your microSD in your W800.
Put your W800 in bootloader mode.
(The battery must be charged, or the power cable connected, Not connected on the PC)
If all goes well the system will recognize the files and start to copy ROM in the system .... We must not touch anything .... When finished, the system will reboot and start as a hardreset.
Warning:This is the ultimate solution,
I have no responsibility for this procedure.
You can lose your bootloader.( If this procedure goes wrong.)
Luck!!!

I assume that you are using the W800 as a modem, to operate the activesync the modem must be turned off.
In your laptop:
Activesync 4.5: " File" -"Connection Settings" - CHECK the box "Allow USB connections"
in your W800:
1.- Execute: "Start" -"Programs" -"Modem Link" ... What shows the windows display?
2.-Look for the icon activesync application and run ...What shows the windows display?
Regards.
P.S: To all the people who help me by a $0.5 or more $ by paypal......
I will send a private link to my pdf file ( High resolution images of the W800 disassembly pieces), this contribution helps my W800 foundation.... ;-)

hi, guys
Yesterday I buy the PDA chinese W800 and functioned well.
Today after modifying the call sound, it blocked.
It is blocked does not leave the start of windows. already I tried disconnect the battery but it does not give.
the program activesync does not obtain connection.
For hard reset I need remove de battery , press small botton + power botton ....next ....red botton:
If I choose yes, ... locked , I need remove The battery.
If I chose No, ...last 3 minutes , All black.
I have always to remove the battery to make this.
If I remove the remove the battery, I place again, and press faster the 2 botton (small + power) ,... the display says:
USB DOWNLOADER 0013KB
USB DOWNLOADER READY
SD CARD IN
FIND SDMMC CARD
SDMMC LOAD FAIL
USB HOST IN NOT CONNECTED YET.
Help me,

I see this "aspirant phone" gives many surprises ....
Is it possible that the "charger" does not charge the battery, and the system can not boot properly?
Remove the battery from its W800 and also remove the SIM phone card, and not put on the inside of your W800, connect the cable to your charger and your W800. It turns on the light? The system boots right?
If the battery is good, it may be due (i think) to a memory corruption, by a software corruption or a bad fail chipset hardware.
On the other hand.... there is a hope to restore their brick W800.
I see that the bootloader starts!! (These texts: USB DOWNLOADER 0013K.... is the bootloader) .
The bootloader is used to load the ROM in the system.... But what happens if your memory is corrupted? Possibly the software does not finish loading the ROM in the mainbord memory...And you will continue with a nice brick.
P.S: To all the people who help me by a $0.5 or more $ by paypal......

I would, though it is dangerous, is again trying to load the ROM in your W800.
Read my previous posts (pdf tips ) how to load a ROM Through cable, and in recent posts how to load the ROM via microSD card.
But you FIRST attempt to make a load rom Through the cable(topic of PDF)
Regards.
