Apologies if this has been asked before but I couldn't find an answer.

Background:
I originally bought a MDA Compact III (HTC P3300) from T-mobile. Downloaded, installed and registered Pocket MSN and am able to log into MSN messenger and retrieve Hotmail mail.
Got fed up with GPRS and decided to buy a P3600 (from HTC) mainly cos of 3G and WiFi. I have an unlimited data plan.

Problem:
I inserted my SIM card into the P3600 (downloaded and installled Pocket MSN - not registered as i have paid for it already) and now I'm unable to log into Pocket MSN.
I get the following error when trying to log into MSN Messenger or do a send/recieve from my Hotmail account.

"Temporary conditions currently prevent connecting to the Pocket MSN service"

and then get the following message:
"Logon to MSN Messenger Service failed because the service is not responding. Please try later."

But when I put the SIM card back into the MDA Compact III it all works fine.
Spoke to t-mobile and they say it must be a setting on the phone thats preventing me from logging in, and suggest that I speak to HTC.
Spoke to HTC and they say it must be a problem with my service provider

I'm inclined to believe t-mobile as it does work on the MDA Compact III.
I've tried other apps such as IM+ and recieve similiar connection error messages. But connecting over Wifi it all works fine

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

How are you logging in to pocket MSN? The only way I could log on to it was connecting to my laptop through activesync and using my cable internet connected to it.

you mention that you can connect through wifi but not directly (Iassume by GPRS/Edge/3g
if you've bought the handset sim free then you will need to add these settings into the handset. T-Mob would be able to supply you with these details to add in your connection settings and that should resolve the problem.

Try using HTC Network wizard:)
