Im in the process of acquiring the tilt and having it unlocked from one of those ebay and store site services ranging from $20-40 if a phone call from AT&T wont work.
Will it work on Tmobile USA? Any real tilt tmobile owners?
I know i will have to reconfigure the GPRS but does anyone have the settings? Any Tmobile tilt owner with a working internet/sms/phone feature?

have you not looked at any threads here before posting one?
to make it simple, call AT&T to unlock it or buy a code and i'm using a tilt on t-mobile with their t-zones plan. no, i'm not gonna post the settings. you gotta do your own work sometimes, but search for tzones proxy settings and you'll find it here or howardforums.com

All i really needed the most was a real tilt on tmobile owner who is using it without any problems. Thanks for the confirmation. ill search for the settings.

It isn't too hard to unlock to T-mobile and reconfigure Data settings... I think if you google it, you'll even find the data settings you need for T-mo on "unlocked" windows mobile devices.
I used some random ebay unlocker and the response was pretty fast also.

It works fine. Have had a tilt since the day they came out with ATT. Called up ATT and im not even a customer and they gave me an unlock code. I have a normal phone plan with the unlimited data addon (29.99).

Im using a tilt that I purchased on ebay and had it unlocked also through ebay. Im really happy with it. I only have the basic t-zones plan and I can check email (pop3) and surf the web (opera mini). Internet explorer doesnt work, but Opera is all I really need.

if ur still using the 29.99 data plan, ur getting ripped off, cuz they recently changed the price of their 29.99 data plan to 19.99. same thing, just $10 cheaper, definately call in and change it.
btw, it works for me on the 5.99 tzones plan

Definitely able to. I chose unlock my phone through Tupisdin and a donation to this site (thanks for all the help here).
I tried calling international AT&T etc etc. I didn't want to use my friends number and account info. It was just a little too much of a hassle.
So in three days I've had the SIM Unlock, the CID Unlock, and flashed the HTC shipped ROM. I like the phone much better now. =)
BTW, if you flash the HTC ROM, you won't have to manually configure your data settings for T-Mobile USA. It knows them, already.
Now... just need to find a good way to remove the "AT&T" logo on the faceplate.

you can get a new faceplate and use the "case tool" to swap faceplates.
i got the tool and faceplate on ebay for like 10 dollars total.

I have read somewhere that a cube of sugar can remove this logo from the face plate. I have not tried it myself but will be worth a shot.

why would you pay to unlock the phone? There's posts here that explain how to do it yourself, you just gotta use that search option and sift through the posts. DO YOUR RESEARCH PEOPLE!!! Coulda saved you a few bucks....
I got my Tilt, unlocked it myself, got it running to tmo now, working perfectly except that i keep gettin booted off BB Connect everytime I use a program that accesses data :(

+1
It does take an awful lot of reading though, particularly if (like me) you miss a step and spend 2 hours using mtty to boot the phone trying to figure out what you did. But it is all there, it works, and makes a great phone super. On t-mobile, Duttys 6.1 at least auto-configured the network.
Free good, but it can be painful:cool:

it is amazing how many SEARCH bashers are on forums these days.
Are people really so high and mighty that they feel the need to bash other users for not searching?
Like driving in your car bubble (road rage), the Internet gives people the ananimity to be rude.
If you don't have anything good/nice to say, STFU. If forum members are so upset that people post a question that has been asked 1000 times, don't respond. The newb will either start searching on their own, or move on to another forum.
Why do we feel the need to bash and belittle? :(
