You should be able to hard reset as you dont need to be in the OS to do this. Try following the hard reset procedure whilst your phone is booting up.
PROCEDURE EXTRACTED FROM WIKI:
Press and hold both soft keys
Using a stylus, press and hold the soft reset button at the bottom of the phone
Keep all three buttons pressed until the keypad lights turn off and then flash
Release the soft reset button while still pressing the soft keys
Let go of the two soft keys once the message "This operation will delete all your personal data, to manufacturer default" appears on screen
Finally, press the green call button to perform the hard reset, or press other key to cancel
Hope this helps

You installed it to your storage card didn't you? tsk, tsk, tsk...
It will work in storage card only if you change it's start up number in the reg. Otherwise it's stuck trying to load a program from a place it can't see yet. Because the startup directory tells it to boot before your SD card loads. It's not bricked though. You can hard reset you just have to know how.
Firstly do a soft reset. Immediately after the reset depress both softkeys. As soon as the green screen comes up depress the reset button again while still holding the soft keys. Then follow the directions on the screen! Voila!

Thanks guys, I did not install to my card. During installation it read some type of "language" error. Eventually I did get it to hard reset. I hooked it up to my comp and then tried a hard reset, after about 10 tries it worked. Thank you for your help...
