Storage card is write protected

Hi all,
Wondering if you can help me pls.

I have a D810 and when trying to add music from my SD card to the WMP library but when I do it hangs for ages then comes back with error of "the library on the storage card is write protected, please turn off the portect and try again" or something close to that.

Does anyone have any ideas?

The music was copied from my pc to to storage via the USB cable.
They are legitimate CD's that I own too.

dear, pls make sure you don't turn on encryption on Setting/System...

So, secondly, you ever try to format this card and so then??? (pls back-up data on this card before)
