the rom we have is english but for now i need to get hardspl made so you guys can flash the rom. its dumped of raskel's device which is english and then i cooked it. again guys im happy to help BUT id appreciate if u guys could get a fimd together like was done for athena to get me a device i can use to make it easier to cook and also if i have a device it would benefit oli and cmonex as im always on when they are and have much expirence working with them so everything could be done faster. REMEMBER it is not easy to cook for a device to have. u have to rely on the testing and feedback of others.

May be some video related dlls. There is a Kaiser issue with video and I think people are lookng to try dlls from other devices using the qualcom chip to see if the fix the issue.

Obviously there is much many of us don't know. What I do know is the unit I have works. . . , all functions, all connections, all hardware as advertised.

Perhaps for the USA, this is the case. It may not be so elsewhere, I can not say, because I am not there. My supplier only knows that the first production units are delayed. This is typical of many new releases from HTC.

For any one out there who have never seen an actual Touch Cruise, feel free to tell me about specific problems or issues you have knowlege of. I can objectively test, confirm or deny specific issues. If you are into heresay and HTC bashing, save it for another forum. Let's keep this thread on track with legitimate questions and concerns.

For those of you waiting for a cooked ROM, there is an effort afoot already to spice up the first offering from HTC. Hopefully, we will have HardSPL and unlock processes verified along with a first ROM, prior to HTC's first shipments.

I will start a new thread later this week announcing the Polaris Project Team. Please have your requests available for that thread when it arrives. When HTC has a new ROM offering, we should have a fully functioning Project Team with all the tools for custom ROMS. This is good news for all you prospective Cruise owners. If you have no desire to own one, consider moving to the iPhone or Nokia forums.

HTC updates periodically these (and some more) apps and i just keep my personal roms up to date with the latest oem software - thats why I am interested into them

Are you sure that it is sim-locked? If yes don't buy it. It is certain that there is going to be a sim-unlock tool but it will take some time to appear.

no sim lock from o2 Germany, u can buy it for 499€ without the 2 year contract and use wherever u please (contract-phones are never sim-locked in germany):D

I am going to Germany for the next few days, and I'd really like to replace my beloved Orbit 1 with the Orbit2/Polaris (3.5G...) --> Since the OS will be in German, can I fully upgrade the device to English?

I am currently using the "Artemis Touch 3.01 full no cube" ROM, which is really nice, works very nice @260MHz etc, but just has no fast internet, I'm using Edge and it's just too slow.

Is there any nice ROM to flash it with?

I recently bought the HTC Touch Cruise with Portuguese ROMs which has various dictionaries included (English,Portuguese,French,Spanish). Would this ROM be useful to you guys? If so, how can I dump the ROM? (it's my first PPC...)

When you release a cooked version will it have Portuguese dictionaries? If no will installing the PortugueseLG.cab that's around here install it?

Can you just have a little explanation of what is this "French Dumped ROM" and how the RAW files should be manipulated to use it?
I am the recent owner of a locked SFR/Vodafone french Cruise and I am not an expert at all in updating or flashing ROM... My will is to flash the existing customoized ROM with the original ROM containing all standard HTC applications and parameters...

Does this dumped ROM can help me? Is there any danger with the operation?
