Sync with Vista

Hi guys looking for help with WMDC, in vista.

Brought the Qtek 8500 for the missus, and Vista won't recognise the phone at all, tried to install activesync but not compatable.

Would like to sync contacts, photos etc. I have searched the site and the web but not really getting anywhere.

All advice welcome, for an easy life! Thanks in advance.

You'll have to install Windows Mobile Device Center (or something like that).
It's the Vista replacement for ActiveSync.
Once you've installed it, the device will be recognized by WMDC and you can sync with Outlook.

I'm pretty sure that once you've connected your phone and let it reconizes it - then if you run Windows Update, WMDC will be an option for download.

I got the same problem also. Cant sync it with Vista OS even I have installed WMDC. Not connect at all with WMDC.
I try to sync from the phone but also didnt connect with WMDC.
Please advise. TQ

you must download and install windows mobile device center 6.1 after that's you can sync your StarTrek in Vista OS

Once youve connected the phone you need to install updates. via windows update. This should cure it
