Volume trouble

I own a hermes (cingular 8525) and two days ago my sound just died. I mean the start up won't work, rings, etc.. but when i dial or receive a call it works. I also have Schaps 4.0 when this occurred. I flashed the new Schaps 4.2 sound worked then after a while just stopped again....yes i am new to forums so please don't rip me a new one if i placed this in the wrong spot...Thank you for your time reading this and your help if possible :D

Are you deleting any files off those ROM's? I know I had this problem when i deleted PIM VOL from the ROM...
