However, these things can be cumbersome and time consuming, I just updated my kitchen and port tools so I hope this is all I need to correct the problem.

Actually Im using 19949 build from pdaviet (sonblack). This build is really, really great.. Fast, stable and cute. But battery performance is crap, ridiculous... I think homer I'll do a nice work with this build, just fixing battery performance. Go homer we'll stay for your release...

Ok I have fixed rom, but I have a little more work yet, the calculator isnt working either.. AS for HTC Home the skin files are located in Windows directory I will upload the skin files necessary to change the clock and skin. good work .....
every thing working fine exept for calculator which shows skin cannot be loaded . tried changing skin file no use.
However some good things about this rom
1. this is the only atom rom with torch application .
2. quick menu attractive and fast.
3. colourful wm6 themes included
4. good battery life
5. wm storage ver 1.8.
6. included all O2 original software
i actually changed home clock using htc home customizer
homer you should have included customizer cab in your rom . its just a suggetion . your rom is really good.

i did a soft reset and it went ok, it seems that you have to soft reset everytime you try to send an sms, and also as far as flashing and trying out WM6.1 for atom. HTC phone pad (input utility) is not compatible with 6.1

Hi Homer, thank you for sharing your great ROM. I've been using the WM6 version in my atom, for quite some time now and I must say it is the most stable.

Please allow me sway a bit out of wm6.1 for a while, i just notice this cpuprofiler.exe in the hidden partition/extended rom. I've search in vain as to what it does, kindly enlighten me as to what this cpuprofiler is for? btw, i didn't install anything during the autoconfig/auto install process from the hidden partition/extended rom, thinking i could install it anytime i want. Thanks in advance and more power to the new wm6.1

Im planning to change my casing as well with a white one for Atom! :D I have the white one too :D from HK, its not bad but take my advice, get the grey one! The white looks a bit Freddy Mercury :D and also you have to build the white one, that means pulling apart your black housing and stiping the fittings out of it, I can assure it is a very difficult and tedious task much more so than merely dissasembling the handset. Also must insert the brass female threaded sockets, they're about 2.5mm in diameter and must be heated and then pressed into the front housing socket holders, if you dont heat them the housing splits and u wasted money!

Dont worry about the apps O2 etc etc.
As for memcard install, yes I only ever flash via SD card, use an easy app like XVI32, point the cursor to the 12th byte then delete to cursor and dont forget to rename to diskimg and be sure that you can see NB0 as "type" of file, if not then just add .nb0

homer, i can't restore my backed up sms messages, either with PIM Restore or Jeyo Mobile Restore. with jeyo it shows up after the restore is finished. but after soft reset every message is erased.

some days I have flash 15-20 times+, I certainly dont think this is a critical bug and I have to admit I only tested with keyboard not phonepad, sorry bout that.

1.the adobe reader not included
2.photo album and editor have problom in loadung buttons it appears as dots instead of button.

every other thing works including the calculator. igot the skin from pdviet rom .now the calculator is working .

I am unable to use GPRS using WARID (Pakistan) network, i have even tried manual settings but it doesn't work on this ROM. the moment i try to sync with outlook or browse through IE explorer an error window pops - up. With some sort of the message <cannot dial with current settings, plese check yor settings>. I have uninstalled it for now but I really want to use this ROM. its really good.

i think the threaded feature is pre built on wm6.1 :) you can manually change it thou with a registry tweak or use the app i posted on the other post.

the registry edit is

"HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Settings\OEM"
"SMSInboxThreadingDisabled" value to "1"

and also change

"HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Settings\
"SMSNoSentMsg" to value "0"

Calculator doesn't work (resolved by uploading the two png files and changing the SPB calc image registry settings from gif to png)
Task Manager Icon not appearing in System Settings
Domain Enroll icon not appearing in System Connections
Photo Album and Photo Editor icons missing in applications
O2 MediaPlus reports that skin files are corrupted

As a suggestion, can I suggest that you add the HTC X-button 1.5 app to the ROM which helps keep memory lean, and also keeping inline with the Diamond theme of this ROM, add the Diamond theme to Media Player.

Thanks for all the feedback, the main issue seems to be within the XIP porting, if I drop the CE everything works as it should, infact all bugs atm can be fixed easily except the Activesync bluetooth, I've done file comparisons, registry comparisons, changed modules, re-ported XIP and Im at a loss. I wonder if the portee devices cannot sync via bt or maybe it is a bug of all WM6.1 whatever it is I cannot fix it. As for adding more and more things to the rom I think this will only cause more problems.

I know - but using the Wireless Manager shortcut from the HTC Home Launcher is what causes the issue. Have successfully replicated twice with the ROM newly loaded.

Update: Actually, I stand corrected. The problem appears to be a conflict between S2U2 and the rom extender cab. If I don't install S2U2, no issues with the hidden partition corrupting. If I don't install the rom extender cab, no issues. Install both - corruption occurs if access the Wireless Manager via HTC Home Launcher.

I've elected to run without the atom rom extender cab - Homer are there any issues with this?

I had to revert back to the original gold rom, this rom had some real annoying bugs,

1) Caller ID was not working.
2) Active sync via bluetooth not working.

Following are No bugs but they are still a problem,
1) Slower than the WM6 (homer's previous rom)
2) More battery usage than the previous gold rom.
3) Media player again slower in this rom

Anyway ihave attached a registry of wm6.1 19716(build 19716.1.1.0pv) by pdaviet it has almost no bugs media plus ,calculator , bluetooth sync , camera everything works fine i have attached registry back up of this http://rapidshare.com/files/128552385/WM6._I_Registry_back_up.rar.html here . Hope it might be of some use to you . kindly let me know in what way i can be helpful to you in making this build perfect. i know u can do better .

you're the best homer!its running really nicely, slows performance a little and yes it will drain battery faster, I can post the .cab files it may be better as atm I am having so much difficulties with the OEM package and also there are problems with .netcf3.5

3dTouchflo (http://www.filedropper.com/throttlelauncher092) and throttle launcher by APBilbo all credit is his. PS you must download and install .netcf3.5 even if it already exists in your device!

Actually .netcf2.0 works fine from 0.7.1, there seems to be issues with the latest .netcf3.5 Moduled versions.

I want to share one amazing experience with you about this rom (well it happened yesterday itself :D ).

Yesterday my friend was going out for a 2 days trip and he also has an ATOM PDA with him. As it was a tracking trip, i landed him my powerful battery so that he has his PDA alive, till the time he is back from the trip. Well as i had no other powerful spare battery with me, i had to install the crappy original battery of Atom in my PDA.

Yesterday evening, when i was with my gf, i thought of playing some nice songs from my PDA. But the dam battery was at 10% only. Well i was out of luck, but then i went ahead and started playing the songs. Just after playing 3 songs the LCD glowed and showed me that the windows is shutting downing and PDA would switch off.

At first i was totally disappointed because the songs were keeping the atmosphere quiet romantic for us :D, but then for some reason the Windows media player's hard key let me switch of the screen and as i did switch the screen off, to my surprise the phone played the song for almost 2 hours from then. Unbelievable right ?? but it happened... i don't know how.. Yes the phone service was switched off, touch screen was not longer functioning, except the hard keys and i was able to select the songs through my hard keys...

I don't know how it happened but i am sure either the Network service provider "Service" (Phone service) or the LCD touch screen service is the real battery killer for this phone, because this both service were off when it played songs (speaker phone full volume) for 2 hours on crappy battery after showing the battery was at 0%...

Again, thanks Homer for this wonderful ROM. It works great. But I didn't like the default configuration of Touchflo3d so I customized the footer to start my fave apps. Plus all those graphics eats up memory. I have 16mb left (with s2u2, ftouchsl, wktask running.)

Btw, when i use Opera9 and opens another app (i.e. text messaging), opera closes after a minute or two. Is this because of a low memory?

MediaPlus can be fixed by merely navigating to Windows/StartMenu/Programs and create a directory called "Multimedia", so you will have Windows/StartMenu/Programs/Multimedia, now cut and paste MediaPlus from "O2" to Multimedia, softreset and possibly remap.

i have 2 questions regarding the infos(both) on your signature but i'll just pm it, as i'll be OT(off topic) here. i notice you're using a higher capacity battery but i heard problems with higher capacity batteries. it produces much heat that affects our beloved atoms, others experience leaks, and others says it does not last that long. How long have you had your extended battery, it is any good? The default battery is really not that good. The other questions w/c i notice in your signature is the 8gig. Are you using it, in an atom or atom life unit? does still need to install sdhc, to get 8gig working on our units/device? please see my pm(private msg) to you. tia(tnx in advance)

Ok, i will share some more ideas by which i have gained some more battery life and extra power in Homer's original gold rom.

First of all i like to keep my PDA simple, that includes no HTC home, No S2U2, or SPB shell.

1) I took all the Windows media player's dll files from the new rom (19*** series) and replaced it in my old gold. by doing that, Windows media player gets quiet fast and video is no longer slower :D (people who will try this, should remember that WM6 wont allow you to replace the dll files in the beginning, but there is a loop by which you can replace the old dll by the new dll files :D, first just add . yes . by renaming the new dll file and copy it in the windows folder, later again rename the file and just remove . from the name. Yap now it will be replaced)

2) Installed FDC Task manager and disable the services which were not required by me .. Example: I don't use blue tooth handset, so i disabled the blue tooth HID service that is always running..Later, If you are transferring file via blue tooth, just go into the FDC TM and enable it again. ;)

3) Via registry, disable Infrared port ... I am sure no one uses infrared.
4) Dim your LCD to 2 on battery.
5) If you can get a 3200mah battery that will just add more battery life to it.

I hope my suggestion will help the people who are still stuck with crappy O2 atom's original battery. :)

Infact I had this problem too when I recently flashed 0.7.2 and previously I never had it... I dont know what is doing it, some Atoms get it and some dont. Can you flash 0.7.1 and report the outcome?

0.7.1 is running with .netcf2.0, 072 with version 3.5...., it doesnt work for apps built with the .netcf3.5.... I am using version 2 and I am yet to find an app that doesnt work, not just that, look at the latest WM6.1 roms they all ship with version 2

you can download ThrottleLauncher with 3dTouchFlo on the forum, just search for version 0.9.3 and make sure to install to device memory... Also if you have a rom with .netcf3.5 then its highly likely you need to get the .netcf3.5 from MS and install as the moduled package/s do not work! .netcf2 works fine.

I am currently running an Atom Exec rom that has no serious bug issues and has a stock .netcf2. I cannot make this rom work 100% for the Atom there's always one serious issue ie. SMS not working or Bluetooth A/Sync. Its a real shame and Im sorry cos this rom rocks and has the most perfect A2DP I have seen.

The WM6.1 Atom ROM made by helloworld1 seems to have both working SMS and working BT Activesync. Maybe there's something in there that can help :)

now everything is ok! this rom is awesome! the problem is solved by NOT installing SRS WOW. when it first boot and ask to install SRS, i choose no and everything so clear now :D

flashed my atom with your 6.0.7.2 ROM for more then 10 times, but the screen always corrupted like those pic above.

and the problem solved. maybe there's something in WOW HD application. if i installed it, the screen become corrupt. if i don't, everything is normal. i don't know what's wrong with my device, but i decided not to use it.

just share my experience with this ROM, maybe there's somebody else with the same problem.

1) Just only in clean rom ( No HTC program ), WIFI can connect, IE show " The page cannot be found. Check the name and try again " Just onlt in IE default page. My wireless router is OK, I used the Palm can work.

try this :
1. copy your extended storage to your SD or computer
2. reflash your Atom
3. dont install any application at the start
4. then restart. and you can install the rest of application from your SD.

that's what i've done to my atom. i did several flash and those steps above makes my device very stable now. normal flash always buggy for me (i experienced the same issue with yours before....)

anyway, this is one of the most stable,fast,and battery friendly WM6 rom for me...

Many reasons, for example did you read manual and follow inital charging instructions?
Did you completely drain and fully charge for at least first 5-10 charges?
Do you have a myriad of apps consuming all program memory?

Older hardware is more stable and better quality, the first series of Atom does not have LCD squeal (high pictched noise) and can run Atom Exec rom without screen flicker.

I just install one and also with clear rom , not application install only ext rom and find that WIFI is unstable and after soft reset 2 times , WIFI work.

And install HTC home & audio manager, Photo Contract Pro, Audio Notes Touch, pTravel Alarm, 3D dial pad, Xlive, CorePlayer ( All the above program that I need. )

And then the WIFI not work...after soft reset, its work normally....

I search the post & read..they fixed only Atom Exec & Life only not Atom...

Can you help please?. My rw6815 after upgrading to wm6.1 of Biohazard cable / pc is total block. Before I left the blue screen of Biohazard. Today, after many restarts I managed to bring up the black screen with writing "Device clean boot ...... reset to factory default !!"""".
