Does anyone have more options what to do, last night I tried at least 28 different ROM's. This includes the "official" HTC ROM's that I found in this forum. I was supposed to need the official dutch non branded one but the once I tried give me "incorrect vender ID". Others give me "the image is corrupt" error.
I do have spl 1.11.0000 and ipl 1.11.002 but when running mtty I also have "g_cKeyCardSecurityLevel = FF" (doesn't this mean the elf0100 is still locked????).
Anyone who is able to help me and fix my Touch will get a reward (ofcourse I descide what) :-)


For real i was having a hard time fixing my practicly brand new WizardGfrikkin4 a week and a half ago.

Nope i think Bram was working on something really different, not just the old rom on a WM6.1 base.

I do have to say that despite my personal view and preferences, his previous NL surface is the only ROM i have ran more than one day on my device (other then..). and believe me for me that is a frikkin Compliment.

And if BRam was really intending to just bring out that surface but then WM6.1 it would.......

And seriously, it doesn't take 2 weeks to buy a phone handset. The last update to the donation counter was on the 13th Febuary and it stood at €182,66 EUR. What is the total now? Clarkee has a point here. Sure Bram's situation is 1st priority for him, but posts like this, and questions regarding the e.t.a. for this ROM are legit when "people start paying (or donating, as some may call it) for a ROM". I mean, some may feel that since they donated an amount of money, they have some right to ask questions like what the release date will be etc.

In other words: Bram could easily avoid this and simply post updates more frequently, just to let people (who donated) know about the status. Hell, if not on these forums, simply send 'm an e-mail ;)

If you have donated and feel you have some skin in the game why not just drop a PM to Bram.

When Bram is ready to recommence development, be it when he gets a new device or when he has more free time (Personally I feel he is right to concentrate on family as his priority), then Bram can create a band new thread. I am now post #772 and to be fair only a handful of all these posts have been about the new Rom.

I mean 30 megs free space after soft reset, running stable at 280mhz plus etc. We finally get a release date and somehow that very day his Touch dies completely by a ROM flash. Has anyone heard of that? I mean surely the ROM must have been quite complete for it to be released that day.
1. He promises to use his brothers Touch to soon release the ROM but we never hear about that.
2. One gentleman even offers his Touch on loan for cooking but thats turned down.
3. Then the donation starts. Someone offers a Touch for the so far collected sum of 70 Euros and thats turned down.
4. After more donations come in, we are told that he wants enough money for a Touch Enhanced now.
5. After that we are told that money takes time to transfer.
6. After the few days that were bought with that excuse end, there is the thing of not being able to complete the deal he had in mind.
7. A lot more deals are offered and at that time his daughter is born. Surely he knew what his wifes due date was and should either not have been taking donations or informed everyone donating that the rom can take so long so people could make an informed choice. Note also that the donate button is STILL there!

So the way I see it, it seems like only 1 of two possible scenarios
1. That the promises made with this rom can not be delivered on and he is just making excuses now.
2. Or he releases whatever he has to shut me (and anyone else thinking along the same lines) and I would more than gladly apologize.

p.s. I waited a LONG time before writing this because I know that Brams work has been superb and his reputation impecable so far, so I really do urge him to update first post, remove the donate button and admit and apologize if he is not being able to deliver on his promises with this ROM. There is no shame in that...

I got almost an anwser for every thing you pointed out but i will take the time to do it i think this one is the most important one.

Bram's is a fresch daddy his daughter was born just a week ago, do you know what time it consumes if you girlfriend and daughter are still in the hospital. I think he runs overwith emotions and things to do .. Be the happiest man in the world, but at the same time worries about the 2 important girls in his world. Arange the familie and friend to visit her. Arange everything form register his daughter to the life insurance . besides that his work. in holland you only get one week off from your work. etc etc etc

I think that this thread should be closed in order to give Bram some rest. Let him be a daddy for a while. I'm confinced and i think that Noonski is at my side for this that Bram will deliver a verry good rom but please guys let him rest for now.

My previous point is that by opening up for donations, the forum (and ROM for that matter) don't feel 'free' anymore. Sure, I understand you can't compare 'donating' with 'buying' but some people may find that by donating, they deserve more information. (Like mentioned in previous posts).

Guys, let's make things clear here:

1. i love my doughter and my girlfriend, they're still in the hospital so i'm running around the clock to setlle things here, i'm at the hospital now sitting next to my girlfriend who's asleep now. This is the only spare time i've got at the moment.

2. I love xda-developers, making and serving roms is just a hobby i don't want to make any profit of it. The money that you guys donated is in good hands on a savings account(so i'll get more money fron the interest).
When my doughter and girlfriend are better i'll make time to buy a new touch and go on with cooking.

3. Please do not whine like if you bought a licence or so on this rom when donating, it is a free of choice thingy. The money is in good hands and when i hgave spare time i'll get me a new phone.

4. I'll change the startpost and title so no confusion is made.

I dont want the new ROM. I dont care for it and family does come first. I am really happy for you and I hope that once you get out of the hectic routine your newborn brings you every happiness that its supposed to.
I am rather upset though that people like you Bram and others who are not that proficient in English have misunderstood my comments and made unnecessary remarks. AGAIN LET ME SAY I DO NOT WANT THE NEW ROM and in my opinion your last ROM does make you one of the best cooks here. I was MERELY pointing out the frustration that a donor might feel due to the way things were handled, and just highlighted the reasons for that. Any cook or anyone else who can not take positive criticism and start saying things like "junior members this and junior members that" who wants to misunderstand things and want to leave XDA then the forum might be a better place without them, no matter how talented they are.

Also I can't start Pocket Excel which is also mentioned as being a problem in the above mentioned thread.I am on page 27 of this thyread but still haven't found a solution to the problems mentioned. Are there solutions in this thread?
