Original Touch Dual WWE ROM Dump

I seem to be making very good progress in dumping the ROM from my Touch Dual. If all goes well, I should be able to upload it for everyone in less than an hour.

Okay here it is...

You should note the following:

1. The method for dumping the Touch ROM does not work on the Touch Dual so I've had to improvise a bit and I did run into some issues

2. Run this at your own risk. I have not tested it but it's solid. I'm not sure how to test it because I have reason to believe my phone is still CID locked (not sure to be honest)

3. Give me feedback. I have been trying to dump the ROM for the past two weeks and the only way we can know how this went is through feedback

Question, do you have a 16 or a 20 keys keyboard ??? I already asked this question a few times, but I'm not sure 100% that the ROM is the same for both keyboards...

I have a 20 key keypad.
I'm not sure whether the same ROM will work on both of them... I guess we'll have to experiment and found out...

It has the three sided cube- I don't notice any difference between it and the cube on my Touch. What is the four sided cube? I don't believe I've seen that? Is it stock? What phone does it come with? What does the extra side show?

They say that there are dual's with 4 sides of cube.

i'm testing this out right now.

EDIT: Enabled it on my elf sofar the only bugs are that the brn files don't load.

Thanks bram... you were right indeed... It was hidden and I went through the motions and now my 4th side of the cube is working- just need to get some nice icons...

Did you notice anything else about the ROM that is different/special?

Has anyone tried it yet?

I think it shouldn't brick it... If it doesnt work you should be able to flash another one from bootloader but I do not recommend that you try if you don't have a recovery ROM or a backup of yours

Make from both roms a dump and you see the same files with the same version numbers.

will the Kiaser Hard SPL CID unlock work on the touch dual AKA nike ?

they have the same QuallComm processor ?!

I have try all SoftSPL from Kaiser ... no one works! Dont flash HardSPL if you doesnt know anything about Windows CE. Windows Mobile 5.0, 6.0 and 6.1 is based on Windows CE and use the same ways to boot. Play with SPL can kill your Phone and now way can bring it back! (only HTC :-)

i am from belgium an i have a problem with my htc dual touch.
I ve been using it for a few days , the problem is that i lost my password, so it is now impossible to synchronize it.
So i have read your posts and see that if i am flashing the rom , it would work again.
So i have tried the steps above but as i can t synchronize it, it is impossible for me to copy the firs sspl 1.16 nike. so i can t continue .
could you please help me step by step , because it is very hard for me.

try holding the red and the green button. hold them and then plug in your stylus in the reset hole beneath the usb port. you have to try a bit... best way is to put it straight from up to down into the hole.

i m from france and i had a probleme with my htc niki 16 keys
my card worked without probleme. I dont kwon why but one day my card detected anymore i try everything, format sd in FAT/FAT32 many time with different programme, i made soft an hard reset too. Exausted :confused: i send the phone to my seller (it is still guarenty). A week later the phone worked perfectly, they reinstall the ROM they said...
But now the same bug reappear and a dont know what to do !! Does anyone here think that flashing my rom can resolve my probleme !!

Hi Guys, I’m probably going to get flamed for asking this question.... but, I’m so confused. :confused:
I’ve had my touch plus for a couple of days, I’ve unlocked it using Oli help. Current versions are:

Rom Version: 1.35.110.11
Rom Date: 03/17/08
Radio version: 1.74.OliNex
Protocol version: 25.65.30.04H

I’d like to flash my touch with ROM that you guys have been working on, however I want to backup my current ROM, in the event I need it back on the device.

I’ve looked at itsutils and pdocread, however this tool will not communicated with my touch. :(

Can you guys help me with a step by step guide on how to extract your touch rom and create a .nbh file so it can be flashed it again.

Your help would be very appreciated!! :D:D
