Hi All,

I had this device for few months now after selling off my Eten X500.

The Universal was a big device but I truly loved the XGA big screen. And yesterday disaster struck. Normally sometimes the device would go haywire but a few soft resets or hardreset would set it back on course. But yesterday it refused to move on from the bootloader mode and when I used Buzz utility prgram, it did move away from the bootloader but didn't swith on anyway. And yes, I have flashed the ROM's quite a few times and I managed to flash it with T-Mobile's latest WM5 ROM today morning. The flash was successful but it just wont work normally.

I have 2 batteries but bith yieled the same result. I could only get it to switch on if I hardreset it on a table with 2 fingers firmly pusing the soft keys down. It would sometimes would boot but would hand after it fully loaded. I have removed the SD card as well as the SIM card. Not sure if the devie motherboard is having any issues or some connection problem. One thing for sure if I hold both edges of the device and press it hard and try a soft reset, it would boot sometimes. I even have the external battery charger and I can charger the batteries full.

Any idea how much would it cost (I'm in Singapore) for a repair or anyone who could help me with this.

The worst thing is, this is my only phone and I really need it to work asap.

Hope someone could shed some light on this.

Thank you all in advance.

I had the same problem after I put it on charge with no battery in - very smart I know :D . It explains about using MTTY and how you format the DOC which should solve your problem - hopefully... :)
