Hi All,

Does anyone have the Gold Key cab as found on the Toshiba G900. This software basically works in combination with a desktop pc. With your PDA in your pocket and bluetooth switched on, your desktop PC is unlocked and usable. When you walk away and your PDA bluetooth goes out of range of the PC, the PC locks Windows. Any other software with this same functionality will do.

Anyone?

I believe the G900 has a fingerprint reader and this may be something supplied by the hardware/firmware that accompanies the reader. Not to say it can't work on another device, just that I have not heard of it before. Nice feature though, providing it can not be easily spoofed and can be bypassed in case you PDA/Phone gets lost/stolen.

This is pretty similar to the WM vs Nokia BT sync system that I miss, you could just walk in range and your PC would poll your phone for syncing (once only was selectable). Microsoft dont have an auto polling via BT from the PC for when you are in range, you have to manually connect from the phone on any WM device. They are worried about flat batteries but one sync every 30 mins wouldn't hurt with a poll every 10secs for the PC unlock.

The thread request and auto polling for Activesync over BT would be great!!

A third party SW house could make some money on this!! :o
