HTC Applet8 ?

in HKLM\Software\HTC\HTCCPL there are a bunch of Applets,
1 thru 13, e.g. Applet3 is Backlight.exe.

On my Tilt Applet8 is MIA.

Does anyone have this key?
If so, what is it?
Just wondering if I've lost something . . . maybe something important . . .

I don't know, but there is an app in the Kaiser, available only when using the HTC Home Screen, that allows a single button to step the screen from low to high in 4 steps and back. I like that capability BUT I don't use the Home screen and have been unable to find any way to access this capability directly as I would REALLY like to have this feature assigned to a hard key for outdoor use.

I think Backlight.exe just calls up the normal brightness slider, unfortunately...
