Names in recieved sms messages

Hi,

I just got hold of my new HTC TyTN II. It does not recognize contact names while receiving sms messages. Something to do with country code may be. Is there a fix for it?

Hmmm you sure you have your contacts in the phone?:confused:

Yes of course, I do see names while receiving calls. This is a known issue for some WM5 devices. I saw a post in the forum that had a fix for WM5. I am not sure if something similar is there for WM6. I'm surprised why nobody else has raised it yet ....

Usually whatever works in wm5, will work in wm6. So try that fix. I have been using WM6 for about an yr now, and use SMS all the time, never had this problem ever before on two seperate devices with SMS. Good luck!

Just use a little free program named:

SMSDRFixWM5.cab (works in WM6)

Ya I tried smsdrfix. I'm even communicating with the developer of this prog :-) .nothing seems to work so far. Kinda fed up ........ thanks for your responses though.

I heard of this before... have you tried to copy your contact to your phone or visa versa
