The newly available 6828 wm6 rom is exciting but not without several problems. Here lists some and please report more in hope of the better rom.

1. The wi-fi do not trigger the blue LED.

2. The camera flash light do not work but the self diagnosis can turn it on.

3. The bluetooth headset do not work well. The headset profile works but a2dp do not have sound.

4. The cpu clock frequency is 520 not 416 which makes the power consumption higher.

5. The device will randomly halt especially when using ie or opera mobile to browser internet. The screen will blackout and press power button can reset the device.

6. The wi-fi sometimes will wrongly reported on while it is off after reset.

7. In hard reset screen, the buttons are wrongly mapped. press two soft key to continue it.

8. The esmertec jbed 20070802.2.1 do not have any certificates which makes gmail 1.5 stops working. The default java joede do not support jsr 184.

9. The green LED is blinking much slower. not really a problem.

One more problem is "it cannot unlock all softkey (left, right, call, end call, record, photo and volumn adjust)" without pressing power on before.
If anyone knows how to fix this, pls. share. I really want to use others button without pressing power on before. Thanks

Correct me if i'm wrong - But I think that it only appears to be running at 520Mhz due to fact the ROM came from an Atom Exec (which has basically the same CPU, just clocked higher)

Are you saying that the battery life on the 6828 with WM6 is considerably shorter than that of WM5?

Yes It really runs in 520MHZ with dynamic scale to 416 312 208 104MHZ according to the loads, several cpu overclock tools reports it and it is really faster. I say the power consumption is higher in my test. Before upgrade, I can listen to music using wm for about 3.5 hours but in this wm6 rom I can only do for about 2.5 hours in the case that the battery level drops from 100 to 0(my battery is severely deteriorated).

one more problem:
11. When turned off and reset the device, the screen will rippled but after turn off then on, the screen will be normal.

Did you install Power Management?
I think there are no problems with the power.

sorry for the inaccurate data. i forgot to close adobe reader which takes about 70% cpu when listening to music. now i tested it again, it lasts for about 3 hours and 10 min. i have installed power management patch.

i've install the power management things
same clock as o2 atom(520mhz)
but battery usage much less than orginal 6828 (stay longer)

the standby time may be longer (i didnt notice much difference),because maybe the LED flashes less frequent. but the actual usage time will be a little less, i just test the music playing. the current output resorted by some software is about 20 to 40mA more than the wm5 rom(the quiescent current is about 80 to 130mA)
