strange problem

I Have the Hermes 100 (Orange SPV M3100) Unlocked to O2 with all the fancy SPL and Radio and everything, It was working fine for a few months then over the past few days i was getting the no gsm error which i fixed by bending down the sim cardholder clips..

Now the problem is when i connect to my laptop which i had it synced to before the gsm problem i flashed the O2 WM6 ROM to it and now active sync wont work at all, It charges the phone from USB so i know that its not the cable or the port.

So far i have tried uninstalling active sync then running CCleaner to clean the reg then reinstalling but still nothing, Does anyone know how i can fix this
