I am using Bepe 0.79 build which suffers horribly. Or is this a 'feature' of WM6 builds?
Thanks

You'll find a harder time searching for a rom that actually works. bepe's 0.79, excluding that mem leak & not being as fast as other roms, is still the best rom around, well, Black & Blue's nice too, but has some excess apps and as bepe's doesn't hape the XIP that prevents loss of certain settings.

I've been working with Mun's INDIGO lite ROM for 3-4 months if i remember well, and i'm considering a fresh rom upgrade.

I read a lots of good things about Bepe's 0.79 ROM, and Mun himself recommended it, but this memory leak problem is making me reluctant.

Is it so noticeable? Is it much worse than the normal WM6 memro leaks we experience in all roms?

And regarding speed - why do you think it's slower? do you think it's slower even complared to INDIGO?

Thanks:)

Dont get me wrong, Bepe 0.79 is great, nice and fast but if you dont reboot the phone everyday an app will fail to run and bomb out complaining of lack of memory. I guess rebooting once a day aint so bad but it could be better :)

Any other suggestions?

I have found that the best one for me is AX3L v2.0.8.2 I haven't noticed any memory leaks, however I don't normally use lots of applications, but none the less I have never seen a memory error (not enough memory etc.)

I also found it to be the fastest. Just my 2 lei.

ADW has no leak, and is extremely stable... probably the most stable of all roms currently available. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles some other roms give you, but you can install everything afterwards anyway...

I have been using AX3L's 3.1.2.c Lite for more than a few months. In this time I have tried several other ROMs, like Mary, Karmba_a, but always have reverted to AX3L's. The OS coupled with it's own 1.46.00.11 Radio offers great speed, performance, stability and super battery life (more than 72 hours).

Thanks for the suggestions, but this thread is becoming very similar to other threads in which every member says what's the best ROM in his opinion. I'm not saying that' bad, but it's very difficult to make a decision with so many suggestions, for people with not much free time to keep checking ROMs :)

One question - how is it possible to have such radical differences between ADW's and Bepe's version when ADW's one is based on Bepe's?? Is it newer build? is it so heavily hacked and tweaked till it became faster and more stable?

I guess I should some of those ROMs till i see which one is suitable for me

My ROM is based on Bepe's BaseROM and not his released WWE/GER Roms.
Both ROMS are completely different except the OS version.

Most memory leaks are caused by third party (self installed) software.

Is it possible to obtain this "base rom" somewhere? I would really love to find a stable yet current ROM for the Trinity and then do the translation to german.

I had limited results with B&B 1.1 - the ROM misses some files, so it's not possible to import it into the bepe-based kitchens. Just unpacking and repacking worked to a degree, but I don't trust this method and ran into problems when I tried to exchange the keyboard-SIP for a localized version of msim.dll. A clean WM6 would be nice. I have considered the Dopod, but am reluctant as there have been some comments about a faulty xip, resulting in problems after a soft-reset.
