Yes, it doesn`t work on Schaps lite too, but it does work on full.. When you modify the registry of Schaps full ROM it disables the startup sound.. don`t know why.. :confused:

I'm very happy with this ROM, at the moment everything is OK. :)
I only have a little issue,:rolleyes: and is related this button 5, record not work in press&hold, but, if you change by other button, the function press&hold is working, I mean, I put record in button 2 and IE in button 5 press&hold everything is ok.
This is related to the PPT fix that you apply, I think...
This is really little issue and don't bother me. :cool:

SetAcousticParam doesn't run for long time on first boot customisation. You should copy the SetAcousticParam.lnk from Windows folder to Startup folder , Soft reset and leave the phone untouched for 3-5 minutes to make the changes.
It's also good to install the volume_CC cab from augmenter to have high volume.

As for the ROM. Perfect . Much faster than Schaps 4.22 Lite I had before. Many thanks

Reporting one problem with this ROM - problem with top toolbar, there is some mess with bubble for 3G icon, signal icon time, when I tap on this, it only figure out top shape of bubble, but not info for this icon. Tap on voice loud icon work ok.

I tested this detailed (immediately after HR) and this problem appear about 5-10 secs after boot... and it is back OK after about 5 minutes.

EDIT: Looks like was done by SetAcusticParameters... now it is OK (I hope)

Nope, I`ve removed SetAcusticParam from the PreConfig and the problems ware still there..

I think it might be because of editing the registry on Schaps base, I will look into it and try to identify what is causing the problems..

From my experience, I would say 1437 build is the best so far.. Newer builds don`t work well without fixes.. so...

If only I could find Direct3D Mobile drivers ( OEM or CAB ) :rolleyes:

Dude, that's horrible - this is not against you and your work, but is something which is doing from this cool ROM piece of crap... notification doesn't pop-up correctly, connection have in some cases problem to dial, the bubble problems still appearing... oh, I wasted 3 hours with setting up and testing this ROM... I'll try to use this, because have no time for another ROM but... grrr:( back on trees

Truthfully, your Grass roms has been the best that I've tried, faaar better response times than the others!

Did you not read, Shamanix said not to install on a Jasjar, it is ONLY SAFE TO INSTALL ON A JASJAM. A lot of you guys need to completely read the responses to your question before you ask another. If you are not going to pay attention to the answer, why should anyone pay attention to your question.:o

Don't give up! Your ROM's are the greatest. Doing fine on 2.1 for now. Only the know bubble thing in the top;-)

Xdaradar is true, your ROMs are one of best... gone back to 2.0, and is is also very good stuff. For 2.2 I'll wait for Internet Sharing functional... or on new Schaps Lite base with this feature, as you requested;)

So far, it seems that issues are fixed by removing IE fix.. No bubble issues, no notification issues, dialup internet connection is stable...

Well Shamanix, I'm personally not as bothered by the slightly longer response times in your 2.0 as long as the Internet Sharing is working. I'm not even bothered by the few extra apps that had to remain from your using Schap's full version.

Since it seems that 2.0 is more stable, wouldn't it be better to keep developing that one rather than trying to cope with the various issues of Schap's light version?

Hello, I have installed 2.2 and found that connection via usb to pc with active sync is more unstable than my previous rom, schaps 54c.
to restore connection, I need to softreset my hermes.
Is this normal with this version?

The probability of getting better results by stripping already fast ROM is still considerable - anyway it is a proof that you did not screw anything up while cooking ;) And yes - the benchmarks are rarely the same - but from the experience I know that the variability of the results is quite small.

I have always felt the stripped 'lite' Roms were the way to go.
You can always add something back in with a cab. Well, not always, if only we had a working Internet Sharing cab. :(

I have a motorola car charger and does not charge my hermes with shamanix v2.2. I have tried putting the registry keys:

HKLM/Drivers/BuiltIn/Battery/EnableUSBCharging = 1
HKLM/Drivers/BuiltIn/usbfndrv/EnableUSBCharging = 1

and no charging also. The only way to charge with car charger is softrest and then it charges my phone. But if I disconnect and connect again, no charging.

Previously, with schaps 3.54c and the registry keys, the car charger works fine.

Looks good, but can it be transparent (remove the square background around it...) If that can be done, then I would vote for it being cooked into the rom... if not, then make it a cab file...

Yea, Htc Touch keyboard/keypad use xt9 so it disables predictive text.
There is a regedit in the touch extracted apps thread you can make to get predictive text back, but then you lose xt9.

Shamanix, overall very nice rom. However i find that the bluetooth is not that stable with handsfree device. The device always drop out. i.i when i call, the handsfree is not working sometimes is work. I dont have a problem on Shap full rom.

I've unlocked the extROM using Advanced config tool and I am able to view it, but is there a way I could possibly change its content?
Why there is FTouchFloConfig.exe when there is no TouchFlo?
There are a few nice micro apps (minimize, taskswitch, rotate)... is it possible to assign some of them to quick buttons (ex. taskswitch to button5 instead of task manager)?

I can confirm the bug with SetupVoIP won't run (probably some dll version mismatch?).

I've got one more issue with this ROM. It seems that all sounds are delayed against video. It is obvious while playing any game or watching video.
I'm new to Hermes and I haven't tried any other ROMs yet except original WM5 which has the same issue.
I'd suspect some sound buffer to cause such delays.

Is there a way to fix this? It's annoying when you drive over a pedestrian in Carmaggeddon and the crash sound comes nearly a second late :D

Hello Shamanix, thanks for creating a stable ROM, non the less, there were certain things that i felt were missing.

I don't know how you'd want to change the ROM.

But i had a hard time trying to get the internet connections etc.

i had a hard time w/ the over all set up.

But otherwise it was very stable.

The internet sharing which i use on and off, was missing.

Maybe i need to look through the entire thread to get answers...

I`ve played a bit with Schaps 4.30 ROM and it has too many wierd issues, same as Schaps 4.22 ROM..
So I am planning to use Schaps 4.01 ROM or official 3.62 ROM for the new release, any thoughts ?
Also I am thinking of renaming my new ROM to "Shamanix`s WM6 Ultimate" with Vista Ultimate theme.. :D

Hi Shamanix! Your 2.2 with IS and VoIP would be the ultimate. Using schap's 4.01 would mean older OS build. I hope you can add IS and VoIP to your 2.2. Thanks!

Newer build doesn`t mean it is actually better in general.. I like to have newest builds too, but if older build works better, numbers don`t mean anything.. ;)

I see. Glad to know that. Its just that i never encountered any issues/bugs with your 2.2. Ive tried almost all of Schap's roms and yours. This 2.2 is definitely the keeper for me.

Does noone encounter the delayed sound? In every game I've tried and while playing video in CorePlayer and probably everywhere else the sound is delayed after the video. Could that be my hardware problem or even Hermeses general problem? I've only tried two ROMs already but all seems to suffer from this.

One more question. I need to modify the sym.0409.txt file and add czech chars to it. I've got the modified file but I can't replace the original in \Windows because of "Access denied" (the file is probably in ROM). Any suggestion? I really need to type CZ chars on hw keyboard.

Are you using the standard file explorer? Try something like GS Finder, it may let you do it.

Thx, GSfinder helped, the hw keyboard issue is fixed.

Now for the sound... I still have all sounds delayed nearly a 1 sec after the video. I've tried exactly the same binaries of a few games on the HTC STRK and the sound is not delayed there so it's not problem of those games.
I've read somewhere that sound on Hermes is accelerated hrough Imageon chip as well as video and therefore I suspect some Imageon's sound buffer to cause the latency of sounds. Sounds are delayed everywhere not only in games but in games it matters the most.
Is there some sound buffer settings in registry? Or any way to fix this? I hate the fact that games are running better on old STRK with 200MHz than on my new Hermes with it's fastest ROM :rolleyes:

I don`t think it is a ROM problem, maybe something is wrong with your device..
Try flashing any other ROM and see if problem is still present ?

I have tried a few ROMs and have the issue with all of them (Shap's 4.30, Pandora 7, Black Satin, ...)
Could this be a hardware problem? I've got SPV M3100.
I've tried Mophun, Worms World Party, Tycoon, AoE, CorePlayer 1.1.1, ... and the delay seems to differ but always is there and is noticeable.

Possible stupid question. Did anyone have any problems with a activesync connection after rom change. I used it for about a day and I had to downgrade through Bootloader because I couldn't connect through activesync.

I want to change the dialer, I like those black ones with large buttons (kaiser&touch I think). Though after searching, it seems some of them are unstable or make me have to reflash my device... So I'm asking, which one is safe to use with this ROM? I don't need a video dial button, since I have a AT&T 8500 anyway....

I just flashed and configured new Ultimate 1.0 and it's great but I'm missing 3 *mini*apps from this one.

They are TaskSwitch.exe, Minimize.exe and RotateScreen.exe and can be found under \Extended_ROM when it is shown(can be very eassily done by checking "show EXT_ROM" in Advanced Configuration Tool).

I recomenned this rom for all users.I use this rom very long time.I flashed my device maybe 60-70x,and this ROM is best. Why ?

Fast/No bugs/Best for bussines use/this rom is not only clean...He is VERY CLEAN.Only 2 available roms give you 31 MB of ram.And 2 roms with 31 mb of ram is much faster roms for Hermes.Look thread with mass tests.

This ROM is not new.But he is still best (in my opinion,and in opinion of tests : ).If you like Lite/Naked/Very Fast/Many ram rom this is the no 1. 100%.

Also and black satin roms are very good.(expect 3G dialer,they have 2G dialer

Shamanix dont develope this ROM anymore,but he DONT NEED to be developed.I dont think that he can be better.

CRC 13.5 has a newer Core, but I don't want to say that a newer core means that it's more stable...

After flashing CRC Rom I got:

27.90 MB RAM left
(of 48.68)
and

78.61 MB Storage left
(of 81.44)

Gras runs Win 6.1! Both ROMs are really fast! But Gras got 4 mb more Ram, but CRC has got a newer Core...
