Just got that brodit carholder been deliverd.
Yeah your phone has to be slided open before you can put it in the holder. To bad, but otherwise it won't be stay on it's place in the holder.
The phone is not getting in very smooth the holder.

seems that the dual is pretty fussy about car mounts - that side mounted charging hole is obscured by most cradles, unless you slide it open, as above.
I bought a ten quid thing from Halfords (UK) that it kind of rests in, attached to one of my vents. It's by no means perfect, but it doesn't fall out either - and luckily it's the right height.
why did they change the position of it from the touch? perhaps my biggest niggle with this handset!!

i don't think that bothers me. are you mounting it on your vents, or on a sucker thing on your window?
payday coming, might do the same as you.

Got this BRODIT one: (looks nice and the keyboard out is the best solution when driving and making calls anyways)
848774 Passive holder
For an upright, open position.

And this Herbert Richter one: (nice can hold most phones/PDAS).
Herbert Richter 1580 Swivel and the 1230 holder

The Herbert Richter kan the Dual be open og closed - nice and a bit cheaper solution.
www.pdaplus.nl
It took only 3 days to arrive from The Netherlands to Denmark - a total under 28 Euro for the Richter solution.
The Brodit I got from Denmark 55 Euros.
I´m trying them both out - mounted them on my BRODIT ProClip with the BRODIT Move Clip thing on it.

I´m gonna stick with the Herbert Richter setup, where I have the possibillity to have the handset open or closed.
I now have one BRODIT passive HTC Touch Dual holder for sale..... 2-3 days old.

O2 shops in the UK stock an OK cradle, with a hole in the right place, so to speak - well ok the TD doesn't sit totally in it (with the charging cable in I mean), but it fits nice & snug. It does dance around a bit, and rattle, so I adjusted the gooseneck thing so that the dashboard stops it from moving. am pretty satisfied now at last!
20 quid though, but I could at least check it out in the shop

I have used the Herbert Richter mounts before on my MDA Compact III and they fit perfectly!
Anyone found one that you can buy yet or know the release date? (Site below is pre order only)

I just bought myself a universal holder from ebay - cost about £5 (you can get similar in Tesco or Asda in the UK for about £4-5) and it has high up holding bits and couple of little legs at the bottom that you can adjust around. Clips into the car air-vent, looks ok, job done!
I've also bought a USB adapter for the cigarette socket so that I can simply plug in my spare USB cable (from a previous PDA) to charge my niki in the car.
One thing I would say about the car holders is that if you put it on speaker phone in the car to make calls etc. it is very quiet as the speaker is round the back and pressed up close to the car holder.
