The only differance between this and the one already found in the othere LG today plug thread is dciNoBar.exe so no need to register to get what you already get strait of this side

what is the use of spacer 2 here?

It works great, the only real point of it is it removes the bottom bar of windows mobile (aka the soft keys) when you are on the main screen. The file is safe as it is really the same files we already have here, just packaged together for ease of use.

The spacer program is actually a quick fix for making the buttons show up on the bottom. I did notice a good value on it was 69 when using only the htc home plugin and the buttons, with the bottom bar enabled. and 94 with only the 2 plugins and the bottom taskbar disabled.

Hi, how do i disable all bottom icons (comm Manager icon, vibra icon, ....) to get the today bottom plugin to look like in screenshots?
Whats the correct setting in Settings/Today? Sometimes it scrolls under the visible line of the screen.
I love this plugin, would be nice to have a config-app to change icon-links and colour, like schaps did FTouchFlo-Settings for FTouchFlo.

Okay, here is a TrayIconMannermode.exe which has no bitmaps inside, so no icon on vibrate mode in bottom bar. This will allow to set the LG Plugin to bottom of screen even in vibrate mode.

The SIP is nowhere in this plugin as i can see, not in today screen and in application selection

hoankhang000, if you're using dcinobar.exe, replace it with VJTodayToggleII Alpha. the reason the SIP is there is because your softkey bar is 0 pixels. you will have to set the bar to a size of 1 pixel (as far as i know, you can only set custom sizes with VJToggleTodayII) to avoid the SIP button.

download VJTodayToggleII Alpha
put it somewhere on your device
create a shortcut to with with parameter -config
use that new shortcut to set custom sizes

Configue Spacer2 Plugin in \Settings\Today\Items, click on Spacer2 n click options. Adjust Spacer Height accordingly to move the plugin all the way down to the bottom

i soft restarted it, and i got the message about its doesnt have a trusted certificatre, cant load. reinstall it yada yada. should i uninstal it and reinstall it? also the bottom bar came back after the soft reset

i'm not sure about the certificate thing...but to remove the bottom bar everytime you soft reset, you need to create a .lnk file for dcinobar.exe and place it in \windows\startup folder..

another cool feature would be that if and when you got a missed text/email, the icon would highlight red or somethng to let you know :)

because my existing rom consist of HTC album instead of the original WM6 picture album, and i have touch calc instead of the original calc ... can i remap or link it to the proper applications that i have on my device?

The KU990 is not Windows Mobile phone, so there no way we can port it from Symbian (is it really Symbian?) to WM platform. It would require us to code it from scratch imitating its funcionality.

The spacer has to be listed above the LG plugin under Today Items. Then just adjust the size of the spacer until the LG plugin is where you want it.

Hmm, I don't have that file in startup. All I have is dciNoBar,BPInsert, HandsFree and poutlook. I'm using Tofclock WM6.

Help! Can't install Open Touch Biggy v2.4 over Open Touch v2.2 on my T-Mo Wing. I can get as far as the PPC screen blanking, but I can't reestablish an Active Sync connection to complete the remaining step(s). Have retried after installing the Enable*** cab, but no luck. Would appreciate any help.

What I see on top of your screen is probably a battery meter, and the one under the start bar is a memory indicator isn't it?
But, what app are you using to show both of these meters?

Ok i got rid of the battery and wireless connection manager icon that were not allowing the lg today bar to be at the bottom..but now when i connect via activesync and my mobiler, i get these 2 icons...cant figure out how to get rid of them :(

i just set the spacer2 to have the lg today at the bottom and the few times i plug my phone int o the computer im not going to be pressing buttons or anything so its not realy a big deal ;)

Have you already done the registry hack to remove the battery and connection manager icon down there? After i did that all is fine when not plugged into the computer.

1. LGMenu.exe -----> LG Tab Menu
2. LGSting.dll -----> Menu labels
3. TodayButton.dll -> The menu bar on today

To get rid of the my mobiler one I do believe the only solution is going to be to uninstall it, the other one your showing if I'm correct is from unchecking your "enable advanced network functunality" in your USB to PC settings in connections just go and recheck it and that one should disappear.

I have tried all of the various iphone type interfaces (including freestyl) posted on this forum - not because I am sad enough to want to pretend I have an iphone, but because I want to do as much as possible on my orbit without putting my glasses on (now that is sad).

The cube should do this, but fails because of the limited number of launchers, making it not much more than a toy, to be honest.

I have found all of the iphone clones clumsy and slow, and you need spare week or two to configure them.

This LG plug-in looks and works slicker than any of them. As stated by several people above, if only it could be configured easily - it could completely take the place of my HTC home screen.

has anyone managed to work out an easy way to configure the lg menu as yet? this is one of the best home plugins i have tried but like many, i don't programe so even if i got a hex editor, would not know what to do with it:confused:
i would have thought it would be possible (if you have more brains and knowledge than me) to re-write the paths to go to a folder in programe files (call it LG?) and number the applications (one two three etc)
so you could have \programes\LG\one
all we would have to do would be copy the app or shortcut we want to the folder and rename?

might not be perfect but would someone be able to do this?

has anyone managed to work out an easy way to configure the lg menu as yet? this is one of the best home plugins i have tried but like many, i don't programe so even if i got a hex editor, would not know what to do with it:confused:
i would have thought it would be possible (if you have more brains and knowledge than me) to re-write the paths to go to a folder in programe files (call it LG?) and number the applications (one two three etc)
so you could have \programes\LG\one
all we would have to do would be copy the app or shortcut we want to the folder and rename?

might not be perfect but would someone be able to do this?

Not as easy as it sounds...I went through the LGMENU.exe with a hex editor and didn't see anything that looked like a list of commands being executed...did searches on iexplore and "calc"..nada.

so the advise famewolf gave is incorrect? if we know the names of the correct applications we cant try to rename and put them in the correct folder?

..and as I have said..I pulled the bloody thing up in a hex editor and looked through lg_menu.exe and didn't see any of the paths...if you DID please tell me an offset in the program where they start.

Thank you. The version I had was compressed which is why none of the links were visable..one of the threads you listed had an uncompressed version...I will look into whether it can be made to use shortcuts..something like \LG\whatever.lnk

I like this LGmenu allot buth the Today Plugin is just to big to use. So i whas thinking about a way to fit it somewhere the bottom bar, then we just use abbreviations for are softkeys. If anyone can realize this that would be nice :) . Check below for little example and let me now what you think. Cheers

im using K's WM6-WWE-Kaiser/Touch Style Rom and some of the icons isnt working, picture album, calculator and etc etc

because my existing rom consist of HTC album instead of the original WM6 picture album, and i have touch calc instead of the original calc ... can i remap or link it to the proper applications that i have on my device?

however.. the dciNoBar.. will not execute when window starts up.. I've put it in the start up folder...

Go to \windows\startup. delete the inittray file (shortcut) or save it to another folder for later use and restart.

Is there anyway to make it possible to use decimals. 94 is great with nothing other than HTC enabled, but there is a little space visible between the bottom of the screen and the bottom of the LG plug in.

94.5 would be great, but the software doesn't read decimals. Anyone have a fix for this?

I only have the HTC Home on my Today and I set the Spacer plugin (Im assuming you already have it installed) at 87 in my Today settings under 'items'. The height of the plugin depends on how much stuff you have on the Today screen. Dont forget to get dcinobar.exe and put a shortcut in \Windows\Startup folder on your device.:)

I find my KS20 LG Toolbar buttons taking up too much screen space and redundant.
A little regitry hack put the LGMenu in place of the Callender SoftKey
[\HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Today\Keys\112]

me too join the club... :( Although you may do 1 thing, use any black wallpaper/theme in today screen & that minute gap wont be visible.

But still can some1 come up with a permanent solution for this??
