Date on Today screen on one line problem

I've applied the registry setting to change it to one line, but, for whatever reason, it doesn't work at all.

I've tried using SKTools to change it, as well as direct registry modification, but neither works. I'd like to get the real estate back on my screen.

I've done Google searches, and searched this forum, but noone seems to know why it doesn't work when it's supposed to.

I've got the Black Satin WM6 ROM on an HTC TyTN.

Can anyone help, please?

Thanks, but I'm looking for a solution to the problem, not another app to replace it.

Anyone know why this happens, and how to actually fix it?
