View Full Version : Where is brightness control and button mapping?

Hello,

I had a treo 700w (pocket PC phone edition) which had two things that I can't seem to find on this phone:

1) a screen brightness control
2) a button program to map various global hotkeys

As a temporary solution to the screen brightness, I've found Tornado Low Light (http://www.modaco.com/index.php?automodule=downloads&showfile=1630), which functions fine on the S730 (direct download (http://www.divshare.com/download/3129571-afa)). Although I'd like more granular control over the brightness.

I can't seem to find a solution for mapping a or many global hotkey(s). I'd like to map the comm manager and the camera buttons; and even the volume buttons (holding them), much like the treo 700w.

I was hoping vijay555 had developed a solution to one or both of these problems, but he has not.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Matt

Goes to show you, searching google for hours for "hardware key mapping" won't help when convention calls it "hardware button mapping." Solved (http://ae.inc.ru/aebplus.php).
