How to safety upgrade Firmaware?
O2 XDA Stealth Upgrade Tool (removed language check) [Updated 26 Jan 08]

Step by step guide using the official O2 DSUU
1. Install the O2 XDA Stealth Upgrade Tool on my computer.
2. Navigate to the DSUU folder.
3. Rename the WM6*.nb0 file to "gbcall.nb0" (If there is not WM6*.nb0.just keep the gbcall.nb0),change it to "read-only" and copy to the DSUU folder.
4. Start the DSUU update which will take about 5-10 Minutes.
5. Then your device will auto reset.




• The device doesn't boot, I see only O2 logo. Hard reset doesn't help and the Firmware update process stops with the first message?
1. turn off the device;
2. enter engeneering mode;
3. in Main menu choose Boot Config;
4. in Configuration menu choose EBOOT-Launch Image;
5. turn off the device;
6. now hard reset or upgrade firmware.
Sometimes helps another method: leave the device without the battery for about 30 minutes, then turn your O2 XDA Stealth on.
• How to enter engeneering mode?
1. turn off your O2 XDA Stealth ;
2. hold Flag, OK and Camera + press and hold Power button;
3. use navigation buttons to select the settings.

I am a foreign student studying in Moscow, so I don`t have a lot of time to test the beta ROM. Each of the improvement will spend a lot of time to test.I am sorry that temporarily unable to complete the Final ROM.

The internet cost is very expensive with slow speed. I can`t upload the ROM with normal speed to other Servers.

Thanks for the instructions yuc. I was looking at a way to do this before you posted and it should also work if you use the previous official Device Software Update Utility from O2 them selves.

All you need to do is install the DSUU on you computer and replace the "GCALL.NB0" file with the WM6 ROM and then click start. I will verify when I get home.


Step by step guide using the official O2 DSUU
1. Install the official O2 ROM update on my computer.
2. Navigate to the DSUU folder.
3. Delete "gcall.nb0".
4. Rename the WM6 .nb0 file to "gcall.nb0 and copy to the DSUU folder.
5. Start the DSUU update which will take about 5-10 Minutes.
6. After the DSUU says to begin the update reset your device.
7. If "Image Utility" doesn't appear on the screen then allow your device to start up normally. If it does appear then allow it to proceed, this should take around 20 minutes. Follow the on screen prompts to finish setup of WM6.
8. Once the device has restarted open up File Explorer (or a similar program) and navigate to the root of the device.
9. Tap on "UpdateROM.exe" which will restart the device and start the "Image Utility"

Try the download link above. Just use google or babel fish to translate the page and it will be easy. I dont speak russian, but doing it this way I was able to download the file rather easily.

There is no download link on the initial page because you need to click a link on that page which will take you to an advertisement page and after you have clicked on a link on that page a 30 second timer will appear and will then give you a unique link to download the file after you have entered the password which is:- yuc.

So far so good. I have updated my ROM to WM6 and it is running better than it ever did on WM5. There is still a small part of the ROM that is not in English but nothing that would stop someone from using their device. Hopefully yuc will have the ROM completely in English for the final version. There are also some minor apps that were a part of the Stealths WM5 ROM that are not included in this one, which I hope to have a list of soon. The only thing so far that I am not liking is that the Keyboard SIP does not allow options to be set and I am used to using the small key style.

I will be posting some screen shots either later or tomorrow and I will write up a complete "review" of this ROM in the next few days.

This ROM is working well on my Stealth WWE but.
Upgrade it with your own risk.

How to upgrade Firmaware?
- extract files from archive;
- put *.nb0 file and CUSTFILE folder onto SD Card;
- turn off your Stealth;
- don't forget to charge the battery and connect AC adaptor;
- hold Call and End + press and hold Power button;
- You'll see Flash Utility (now you can release buttons), the process of Firmware upgrade begins: you'll see lue squares appearing on the screen, the blue light will flash (reading from SD card to the memory), then yellow light (writing from memory to flash), wait until squares stop to appear (there will be no blue light), the process takes about 20 minutes;
- the device should restart itself, if not do a soft reset, first run always takes some time, so be patient.
After the system has loaded, enter the calibration screen, use the stylus and follow the direction;
- Enter time zone, select Next;
- Stylus introduction, press Skip or Next;
- then you can enter your password or skip this action.
Firmware upgrade complete.

I have been toying around with this ROM for the past 24 hours and have put it through a rather intensive daily routine. After just one day I have noticed enough of an increase in speed that I am prepared to continue to use this as my default ROM. While the ROM works well, there is still some work that needs to be done however.

There are a few apps that don't work, while others are only half translated. There is nothing, though, that prevents any functions of the device being used and in fact I feel there is more of a gain than a loss. The most improvement I noticed was that the UI seems to be more responsive and faster loading than WM5.

You can turn on "Headphones" mode the SRS WOW HD in the settings.
And then you can turn all the below to highest.
And the sounds will turn very loudly!!!

i have upgraded to Beta 4 and so far everythig is going well. They Keyboard SIP was even fixed (You are a legend yuc)! The OS is quicker than the last version and all but a few things are fixed/translated.

However I just ran into a minor bug. Whenever I go into the Today Settings and try to use an image as the background the device freezes and I need to do a soft reset. So far this is the only "bug" left that I can find.

The only other thing that needs a little tweaking is when you are reading/creating a new message the font is not quiet the same as the rest of the OS and is a little too big.

To back up your current ROM all you need to do is download the official ROM from the O2 website and run the app called backup. After the backup is performed you can upgrade to WM6 and if that doesnt work you will be able to run the ROM update from O2 and then restore your back up.

What is your current using rom? Look inside for the backup application and use that to backup your current rom. After backup then only change to the new rom, if the new one doesn't suit you, you can flash back and use the backup application to restore.

Take note, the backup won't work in WM6 because if it is a WM5 rom so try to backup all your stuff as much as possible. The backup application only works if you want to use back your current rom.

the wm6 rom performs way better than the wm5 rom !!!:D
a few bugs i came across ....
1) the sms inbox is named in chinese and ya when the name is typed in the TO section the names of the contacts r supposed to pop up for ease of auto completion but they don't really need dat
2) when u try to install any CAB file in the storage card it installs in da device memory irrespective of what u choose
3) the calculator is completely messed ... 14 day trial warning ??? & everything in chinese
4) the default picture and video browser and photo editor is screwed up !!! it doesn't show any files !!!
5) the simtkit is in chinese !!!

i hope everybody is facing these problems ;)

yuc is aware of most of those problems and is trying to fix them for the next beta. The SIM Tool Kit requires a patch which you can find in the second post of this thread. The Calculator is fixed in the next Beta, or you can just copy the defalt calculator from a normal ROM. As for the rest I am sure yuc is working on fixing the other bugs you mentioned.

If you really want to integrate all those app inside, yeah, mod your own rom with the rom that provide by yuc if you want.

So,this is complete for beginner.Copy this in to your Mini-SD Card.And then you press both call and end botton.then you press reset by using stylus once.but two botton before stay pressed.You will see o2 logo on booting.while press both call and end botton,in o2 logo booting up.Wait for 3-5 seconds.it will show you an DOS like to be perform updating.
Note:After upgrade is complete.You must Hard-Reset to be clean OS.

I found that sound in this WM6 ringtone not louder than original WM5 (i think sound speaker is ok on WM5)although i already adjust to max and enable Headphone type in SSWow as your instruction.

Could you please do remove this function SSwow on next beta version.

Yeah I know yuc will remove SRS from the next version, just telling what I feel about this rom only.

It doesn't works on my device. With the touch screen or hardware keypad, it just won't show me all the contact with the particular number I enter.

What version of O2 Phone Plus you using? I flashed the rom with the custfile together, so I'm not sure whether is it because the custfile doesn't suitable to WM6.

I am using O2 Phone Plus version 1.6. This version only checks the contacts number not name. So entering 5 will check for any contact whose number starts with 5.

I tested it, it do works like what you said, only contact that start with the particular input number. Not nice to use at all compare to WM5. As I always remember the contact's name or certain numbers, not the beginning number though.

I just tried setting up my Stealth for MMS, but when I got into the MMS part of messaging, nothing worked. The only thing that worked was changing the background colour and Sending Options. Is anyone else having this problem on Beta 4? I know that I could get into the settings with Beta 3.

guys, i tried the new rom and it works great especially the SRS bass effects. but with the messaging when you make an IMAP account it crashes your phone. you can still open the start menu but very slowly and artifacts everywhere. but POP mail works alright but IMAP is superior.

hi all,
I upgraded my Xda to wm6 but i found that,
1- blutooth sending stop working.
2- some menu like SMS and Onenote in Chines or Jabanees language.
3- calculator is demo for 14 days.
4- for arabic laguage users ( it hard to localize wm6 ).
5- save more battary ( I don't know how ).
6- cammera resolution is better than wm5.

last result I lost the original ROM which was more stable and reialable, O2 website doesn't contain the original ROM ( if one have please send to all ).
I also Can't extract the original rom from another XDA notupgraded .
I think this beta virsion need more to be used or published and the develober should provide us with the safe steps to safe current ROM before upgrading.
and finaly I ask him to provide us with the default wm6 ROM for Xda Stealth incase his cutomization not suitable. and also I send him great thank's for his effort.

Some menu are still in Chinese language because this WM6 is translate from an English WM6 rom and it is still under beta version, you need to wait until the final version of English WM6 is release to get the fully English WM6 rom and that will be the default English WM6.

For your info, the default WM6 that yuc used to translate is in Chinese language.

You can get the original WM5 ROM from O2 website, just register your Stealth and download from the website, check the rom update section to get it. There is no point to backup the current ROM before upgrading as the rom version is different, WM5 vs WM6, you won't be able to use the backup. Unless you backup WM5, upgrade to WM6 then downgrade back to WM5 and use the backup to restore your pre-upgrade rom.

This ROM is working well on my Stealth WWE but.
Upgrade it with your own risk.

How to upgrade Firmaware?
- extract files from archive;
- put *.nb0 file and CUSTFILE folder onto SD Card;
- turn off your Stealth;
- don't forget to charge the battery and connect AC adaptor;
- hold Call and End + press and hold Power button;
- You'll see Flash Utility (now you can release buttons), the process of Firmware upgrade begins: you'll see lue squares appearing on the screen, the blue light will flash (reading from SD card to the memory), then yellow light (writing from memory to flash), wait until squares stop to appear (there will be no blue light), the process takes about 20 minutes;
- the device should restart itself, if not do a soft reset, first run always takes some time, so be patient.
After the system has loaded, enter the calibration screen, use the stylus and follow the direction;
- Enter time zone, select Next;
- Stylus introduction, press Skip or Next;
- then you can enter your password or skip this action.
Firmware upgrade complete.

I am a foreign student studying in Moscow, so I don`t have a lot of time to test the beta ROM. Each of the improvement will spend a lot of time to test.I am sorry that temporarily unable to complete the Final ROM.

The internet cost is very expensive with slow speed. I can`t upload the ROM with normal speed to other Servers.

I have used the Backup to restore more than 50 times and no problem occurs at all. Maybe you should backup a usable ROM instead of a corrupted ROM to get it works.

i have some troubles with ringtone, first sound good but after sound very very low. I dont know why but my battery goes out only in a day.. i have tested with another battery higher capacity but the trouble continues.
sometimes it turns off without reason. i dont know what to do.
please can anybody put a backup copy of wm5 to return back please? then i will introduce again beta 4_2.

Because my Stealth refuses to connect to my network(D-link DI-624S - had many problems). can anyone also tell me if their wifi works with open networks too as i haven't tried. To Solve ringtone very low volume problem.I have found in Thai PDA forum that I post this ROM Into.So you try to convert ringtone that you like to WAV format 16bit all you need but the channel of audio only to be MONO only.Again MONO Only.You will found that your ringtone is very loud! Treblely.So this is way to use this ROM so happily.

I found the problem and its not the rom.
*DO NOT mix and match the "CUSTFILE" folder from the last WM5 update. it will not give WM5-like smart dialing and will cripple your wifi(probably drivers)*(works for other people)

Also yuc, another thing to remove from the next ROM is that "MSN Messenger" shortcut in the main menu (not "Messenger") does not point anywhere.

another question, but what does Sim toolkit do. is it just a contact manager like HTC Sim manager, and if so is it better? Becouse i have the HTC app running great except the registry setting for only showing phone contacts(not sim) always resets on reboot. i dont know if it can be hard coded into the ROM but if it could it would sweet.:D

yeah, i tested it(after downgrading then upgrading again.) and it does not bring the beam window(ie you press "Beam file" and nothing happens. i guess another think to fix for the next ROM.

SIM Toolkit is an application taht your service provider can take advantage of with some dat that is stored on the SIM Card. It can allow you to quickly access your account ballance, the latest news, weather, horoscopes and a lot more all via SMS. Usualy the SIM Toolkit overwrites its own name with what the service provider inputs (Such as: Vodafone Live, Account, Optus and so fort).

Not too sure if the problem with your wifi was mixing the CUSTFILE from WM5 as that is what I did and I haven't had a problem with it.

As for bluetooth it is something to do with the drivers I think as nothing can be sent using any of the programs that usualy do.

This is a list of known Problems/Issues with the current Beta 4 ROM.

Bluetooth
Currently it is not possible to send anything over bluetooth, although receiving works fine.

Today/Themes
When selecting a picture as the background for the Today screen it causes the device to freeze and can only be fixed with a reset.

MMS/Settings
Most of the menu options in MMS are not functional, espeacialy the settings option which is needed to be able to send and receive MMS.

Messaging/IMAP
When you make an IMAP account it causes the device to crash. Start menu is still accessible but it is very slow.

Sounds
If a sound is set to repeat it works fine the first time around, but when it repeats it only plays for less than a second.

If I have missed anything please post it here and I will update the list.

Could everyone running Beta 4 ROM please test these problems on their devices and see if these problems are with the ROM or not and report back to the forums.

Microsoft Office Not fully translated.
Excluding Onenote, the other office apps like Word are not fully/properly translated. the font is not right(can be temporally fixed by manually changing the font to Arial) and the template names have not been translated.

Picture Browsing Component not working
A few program that use some sort of picture browsing component(Pictures & Video, Photo Editor) do not show any files/Directories. Also Pictures & Videos do not open files from within File Explorer. You can temporally get around this by using another photo program (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1796728&postcount=102).

EziText not working
EziText text input not there.(option is still there, just cannot use it.)

SMS Messaging not translated.
SMS not completely translated and recipient name+number is not in right font.

O2 Auto Config
When it auto-configures for Optus Network(Australia), it somehow sets Internet Explorers homepage to a non-existent(it did in wm5) page that is supposed to be in the windows directory.(can be fixed by going to IE->Tools->Options then click on "Use Defualt" button under Home Page.)

Calculator is a Demo+not translated.
The original Calculator has been replaced but the software is in a 14 day demo and has not been translated.

Recorder not working
Recorder starts and runs, but does not actually record although it shows status of the recording. also duration of anything but "none" will fail to record.(it shows status for one second then just stops). Can be temporally fixed by using Notes for recording(Hold down the volume wheel on the side of the stealth, its just under the camera)

EDIT 2:
Internet interfaces name not fully translated
when configuring things like Wifi, the interfaces(Like "internet" and "Work/Intranet") are not fully translated.

Headphones icon not translated
When you plug in headphones, an icon appears on the top bar. but when tapped the message it gives you is not translated.

System Information Control Panel in wrong font
in the control panel(system tab), System Information is not in the right font.

Phone Recording does not work
When activated phone recording(via WiseTalk) it does not record telephone calls reguardless if it stores to phones or SD card.

EDIT 3:
Answering Machine not working+error not translated
when activated answering machine, after set delay it would spew up an error thats not translated(i can get a pic if anyone wants) and the call i guess just hangup. This happens reguard less if you set it to store in the phone or SD. The middle of first sentence is recognizable and says 1MB(could be memory or allocation problems. FYI i have 22MB mem free and 24MB free space on phone, 274MB free on SD. The errors title is also not translated and the dialog box has a caution(http://forum.xda-developers.com/images/icons/icon4.gif) besides the message.

If a visiting timezone is set, my system time-zone shifts to something like gmt+3 after a reset. No issues if no visiting time-zone is set.

No volume unless SRS WOW is used

HTC Album shows few chinese folder names ( I have changed the device name, owner name etc)

Few native SIPs missing ( I don't use them, so don't miss them myself)


Over all, this is a great effort - Stealth sure is lot zippy with WM6. Many thanks to yuc and all the beta testers.

Almost all of my font issues have disappeared after enabling cleartype and using cleartype tuner. I guess the basic issue was that cleartype is not compatible with unicode.
Try downloading cleartype tuner from the forum and work it out. :)

I have reupgrade to wm2005 and contacts view correct.

Just installed this. Looks good so far. Two glitches that I don't think have been mentioned yet: 1) the dialpad skin glitches at startup when entering sim password. It also completely changed one time. 2) IE default character set is Chinese.
EDIT: Another glitch: Windows Default theme worked fine the first time, now it only applies the background.
I think there's also a problem with the Backup program. I've only used it once in WM5 though, so I'm not sure.

The theme changing has been problem since beta 4. As for the rest of the problems, these will hopefully be fixed by yuc soon. There is also a problem with syncronizing.

Oh, I must've misunderstood what I previously read about the theme issue. I thought my issue was different. :o
Anyway, I found two more issues: 1) Battery status on today toolbar is constantly at 3/3 bars. I noticed this when my battery was 50%.
2) Files on my 4GB miniSD are randomly deleted. No problems with my 2GB miniSD. Officially the Stealth only supports up to 2GB, so I don't know if anything can be done about it. However, 4GB worked fine for me in WM5.
EDIT: 2 more glitches: 1) In Screen Settings. When adjusting the text size to the middle setting, the example doesn't change even though the setting has taken effect.
2) Can't change voicemail number.

Maybe you can further explain which wm6 ROM did you use and what step did you take to upgrade your Stealth to wm6? Did you follow the instruction given on page 1 of this thread on how to flash your ROM?

First of all, thank you guy. When I upgraded the new WM6 ROM, process in the first blue grid, it stopped about 30 minutes. I removed the battery, when I putted the battery back want to open my PPC, the screen keeped the black status even though I pressed every key by any association. sorry to repost, but just in case, can someone tell me how to back my my xda stealth. I know how to upgrade to WM6 but I need to know how to backup and be able to restore my phone if the WM6 beta does not work to great for w/e reason. Thanks. Also need to know if yuc wants donations?

You can't backup your current ROM, however you can download the update fo WM5 from O2, which you can use to get back to WM5. You can also use the app 'Backup' which is included in the WM5 ROM to backup your data. "Upgrading" to WM5 from WM6 is the same process.

I will confirm what lifecheater. I did the upgrade. It is so great. Can't wait for a finished version. I will contribute what ever is necessary. but anyways,

*Pictures and Video, too what i saw, had the "Back" button not translated. No big deal for me.

*There are 2 messengers. One says MSN Messenger. The other just Messenger. The first one has no icon and does not load. "The file 'instmsgr' can not be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate or one of its components cannot be found. If the problem persists, try reinstalling". The other works just fine and loads Live Messenger.

* I can't seem to add to media to MMS message. I have not read the whole thread so if this is a problem that is known, i am sorry. I have not tried to send a text only MMS. SMS works just fine.

*Recorder does not work at all. If you select a time under 30 MINS, it shows the clock and stops. If you select anything above 30 MINS, the recording time is show, but no recording file is made.

*The wise talk features did not work. ( I don't plan on using them)

Please correct me if any of my information is wrong or if i missed anything. I am trying my best. I was adding on to lifecheater's list.

After upgrading to WM6.1 you need to reinstall Arcsoft Composer (the MMS application) which can be found in the first post under the download links for this ROM.

Bugs i have found in 6.1 beta1:
1. exchange active sync doesnt work (status always shows "you stopped the synchronization") - over wifi or gprs. (Outlook/PC Activesync is OK)
2. Ezitext doesnt work (always numbers).

i also somtimes have trouble with taskmanager. i cant quite recreate it but i think it does not open if many applications are running(like in O2 Plus the list is from top to bottom..)

bugs : well firstly very odd one i recieved contact info in my text messages it showed a accept key which on tapping shows a message "ar u sure u wanna delete? "

i am a lil confused abt the whole message getting saved where... wat is tht sms-chat ??? i used jeyo mobile companion to backup contacts and messages ... which on restoring ..... sum of it went to the inbox sum of it in the deleted folder and sum in tht sms-chat ....

calculator not opening .... yaa does the java midlet manager connect to the net over GPRS ???

The on-screen keypad in the phone screen seems to have some bug. Whenever a number is pressed, the on-screen keypad will hide.

Sometimes it is very often, sometimes not. Try not to use Spb programmes, I noticed that Pocket Plus sometimes does it.

Today I deinstalled Spb Diary and Pocket plus and everything became quite stable, I hope. But there is some problem with hardware keyboard, I think. Now smart dialing supports only wirtual pad and from hardware keyboard only numbers can be inputed. The same situation is with EziText. Some time ago I made EziText use Russian and now I checked registry and EziText looks quite well, I cannot find any mistake but I also cannot find the hardware keyboard keys...

well i installed the latest ROM, apart from the problem of phone not coming out of standby mode (haven't tried uninstalling the SPB something) faced by others, I faced the following 2 issues
1. STK not working...the screen just goes blank
2. Service requests (like the balance enquiry ones) cannot be completed

Step by step guide using the official O2 DSUU
1. Install the O2 XDA Stealth Upgrade Tool on my computer.
2. Navigate to the DSUU folder.
3. Delete "gcall.nb0".
4. Rename the WM6 .nb0 file to "gcall.nb0" ,change it to "read-only" and copy to the DSUU folder.
5. Start the DSUU update which will take about 5-10 Minutes.
6. Then your device will auto reset.

Powerpoint missing - Not in programs and cannot find in windows folder.
Office folder had link to Onenote only, word and excel found outside the folder.
[Not important, but office folder is missing the funky icon which was present in 6 beta]
Beam option missing in connections. I am using HTC Communication manager instead.

But really impressive overall, considering 6.1 is not even out thru most of the manufacturers.

Just tried the powerpoint exe and it begins to start up, but then crashes before it even gets to the main screen.

Also the version of Arcsoft you provided only receives 21% of the MMS before it freezes the download but keeps connecting to GPRS to attempt the download but doesn't download anything. There is also no record of the MMS being received.

Other than that all the other bugs I have experienced are the same as everyone elses.

disconnect the phone from the computer. if it still does not show up try soft reset.

Dear yuc, I would like to pay your attention to hardware keyboard issues in futher versions. As it was mentioned EziTex doesn't work but SmartDial doesn't work either from hardware keyboard but it works from software one.
I have a suggestion: maybe it will be possible to take a programme from gigabyte of asus p525 instead of EziText, change key mapping and use it instead.
P.S. Do you know the parameters of Balcklight? I cannot tune any programme to change backlight from todat plugin.

First of all, thank you guy. When I upgraded the new WM6 ROM, process in the first blue grid, it stopped about 30 minutes. I removed the battery, when I putted the battery back want to open my PPC, the screen keeped the black status even though I pressed every key by any association. I have read a article in this forum about repair bootloader, I want to try it.
Have you tried flashing it from miniSD? Instructions should be in the readme of the ROM you downloaded. You might want to try a different ROM as well.

i didnt have to do any of these instructions. I just ran the dsuu program and installed it onto my phone and vallah I have windows mobile 6 on my phone no problem whatsoever.

I am using WM6.1 beta 2. Excellent release working great on my O2 thanks to yic for doing such a great job.

DSSU installation is now much more simpler no need to rename and run the upgrade just run DSSU and you are done. again thanks to yuc

I've few minor issues with this release but I'm very happy with the release and I will continue to use it:

1. Office Mobile: Word is not working. I suspect this is becuase of the missing template file (normal.dot). Powerpoint is missing. I would really apreciate if some body can share installable Office Mobile application.

2. Time Problem: The time setting are not saving it self. It is not displaying the correct value when waking up from stand by. My time seeting are GMT+5.5. For example if I set time as 12.49 Pm i will get something 6.00 pm.

3. two msn icons. only one of which is working

Anyway its a great release. Keep up the great work yuc. hats off to you.

MD 5 is a process of validating the integrity of files.
To check you need to have MD5 sum created for the source file and then check it against the destination file. If both matches it means files have got transferred correctly if not that means there is some problem

I couldnt understand exactly BUT I set the device centre to sync files as well but the problem continued from my previous wm5 upgrade and persisted.... is there any place to downgrade to the original 1st version of wm5 and then upgrade to wm6 again??? or is there any change needed in the registry ????

Thanks A Lot I Have Been Waiting For This. So Far Ill Give A Run Down On This Upgrade. You Dont Need To Changle Any Filename Just Run The Dsuu As Normal And Follow The Prompts.if You Upgrade Your Stealth Alot Of Pleaseant Things Will Happen To It Like:

- It Will Run A Lot Faster
- The Camera Will Somehow Not Blurr As It Did Before When Taking A Video. So The Camera Improves Alot Dont Know How
- Look Alot Better Than Winows Mobile 5
- Once You Upgrade You Will Be Saying How Crap Was My Windows Mobile 5

Bad Things Are But They Will Be Fixed Up Eventually Are:

- Microsoft Word Not Working
- Powerpoint Not Working
- One of the windows messengers arent working

After installing by your tool (very very easy using tool), the phone work well as my wish but still have 1 problem: when i press the power button for turning off display screen, my O2 Stealth will automatically turn off after 3-10 mins but when i dont press the power button, just leave it in my pocket so it does not auto turn off.
May i ask you How to fix that problem?

I do have the patch applied. It just keeps saying connecting to GPRS. Over and over. So i think its a Provider issue which is why i asked if you can all send and receive mms just fine. Please give me a yes or no answer. Thanks. Also, does anyone have a ezitext dictionary?

I have installed the new rom and it's working fine and stable with my stealth... only just a few minor bugs: Word and PPT are not working and also ezitext is not functioning (hope you can speed up the multitap as well if ezitext is available):) but will try to observe for some errors ... but overall working great! :D

• How to enter engeneering mode?
1. turn off your Xda Stealth;
2. hold Flag, OK and Camera + press and hold Power button;
3. use navigation buttons to select the settings.

• The device doesn't boot, I see only O2 logo. Hard reset doesn't help and the Firmware update process stops with the first message?
1. turn off the device;
2. enter engeneering mode;
3. in Main menu choose Boot Config;
4. in Configuration menu choose EBOOT-Launch Image;
5. turn off the device;
6. now hard reset or upgrade firmware.
Sometimes helps another method: leave the device without the battery for about 30 minutes, then turn your Xda Stealth on.

Hi, i'm interested to replace windows mobile 5 on my stealth to your rom. But there's several issues, i hope you guys can help me.
I've downloaded all the files but i stuck at the instruction :

Step by step guide using the official O2 DSUU
1. Install the O2 XDA Stealth Upgrade Tool on my computer. >>>>>>>>(ok,just run the DSUU.exe right?)
2. Navigate to the DSUU folder.

3. Delete "gcall.nb0".
>>>>>>>>(there's no gcall.nb0, just gbcall.nb0)
4. Rename the WM6 .nb0 file to "gcall.nb0" ,change it to "read-only" and copy to the DSUU folder.

5. Start the DSUU update which will take about 5-10 Minutes.
6. Then your device will auto reset.

Wifi problem may be caused due to the installation of the software.In my Stealths, there has never been, You can post a list of installed software.

for the meanwhile, you can get all of the office programs(excel,word,ppt) to work by installing the 2007 update(via activesyc or cabs that are floating around).

I deleted phoneime.dll and soft reset my unit now its working fine but the options are in diff language still, its ok i'm not using it anyway.. i hope there is a way to speed up multi tapping (dict off)... coz i have to wait almost 2 second before i can type in new char. hope you can this one. thanks a lot yuc!:)
