dcd 1.67 and symbols on keyboard

Hi folks. I finally got dcd 1.67 installed properly and is working very well with radio 1.47, no lock ups after 3 days.

However, when composing an email or text; ive lost the special symbols on keyboard (blue dot + tab) and (blue dot + space). All other buttons work fine.

Did you do a hard reset after installing the ROM? Do you already have a bunch of programs installed and reg hacks?

I installed this a couple of days ago and my symbols all work. I'v installed all of my programs and favorite reg hacks and it's still working.

If you haven't loaded too many apps on it yet, I'd try to do a hard reset and then test it out before loading any apps. Then after each program you install try the symbols to see which program or reg hack is causing the problem.

If none of that helps, and It is still a problem, you should post this in the thread about the ROM so it gets recognized as a potential problem.

i think hes referring to the symbol pad, and i think i forgot to include it.
ill see if i can cab it.

thanks dcd for looking into it. Yes keyboard is working fine, just cannot access special characters.

I'm sorry, I missed that you were talking about the on screen symbols. I never use it, but it's good to know.

I'm wrong again!! I guess I need that to enter file paths in the registry editor, since there's no "\" on the keyboard.

A cab would be awesome dcd!! Your rom is great otherwise, I just find myself missing a few symbols every now and again :)

i rebuilt 1.6.7 to include the symbol pad. sorry for overlooking it the first time. it is updated in the thread.

later i will look at making a cab. dotn know if its possible.

edit: heres a cab. i have not tested it and it may or may not work.
