Just got my X7501 from CompUSA on saturday. This thing is very cool. I'm going to use it everyday for the next week as a laptop replacement as I will be traveling on vacation from Florida to Minnesota and back for the holidays. I will be able to give it a good workout. I will be bringing my Tilt as back up though.
As a side note to anyone thinking about getting one of these, CompUsa is going out of business and everything is marked down 20 or more percent. That's why I went ahead and got the X7501. $719.99 plus tax.

Is this true for all compusa stores ?
If it is, I'm going out tomorrow to buy one !

AFAIK theye are going out of business nation wide, or at least thats what the guy there said to me. Here's the catch, no returns no refunds. The store here had 6-7 left and our sales tax is 7 percent so if anyone needs one let me know.

Figures, I bought mine full-fare at CompUsa 2 months ago. $950 including tax. Glad I didn't buy the extended warranty they were trying to shove down my throat.

Well, I got mine from CompUSA in August and did get the extended warranty. However, they have already posted what to do if you need the warranty after December and it appears to be insured and OK. I was sweating for a few weeks, though.

You should always speak to a manager. I was at a cusa one day last week and discussed the x7501. He was willing to match the Amazon price last Sept and would sell the tap plan for half off at that time. So attempt to negotiate. The deal last week was 20% off ($719)and he would add the tap for $100. I'm waiting for the 30% off deal, still had 4 on hand one being a demo. I'm planning to score the demo at 30-40% off unless someone else gets it. He said that he could likely make the next markdown by the end of this week. Good luck to all who score one before they are gone. This is one time where I'd likely take the tap plan just for screen and hd replacement.
