First i want to say thankyou for jiggs (The Starter WM6 for Atom), for chartreux (The Starter WM6 for Atom Exec), my buddy Garmin and all others member in this we beloved forum... Glad to share with all

About this ROM:
- SYS Packaged: Ported from Wizard.
- XIP Core Upgraded: Ported from Trinity ( OS 5.2.1948) thx Garmin for idea...
- ROM Revisions: QuickMenu 2.7 (tnx for nanling), Games Add-on by Tuma, New STK Module (Working Perfectly), Smart Notepad (I'm forget who's the author, but thanks for this program), Cube FtouchFlo+Config 100% working without htc home plugin installed and all parameters ported for atom (Thanks for Kona_Mtbkr and Schap's for this greatfull program), Wait Animation by Marshall and more (read System Info).
- ExtendedROM: SmileySMS 1.53 by Roozbeh, Intelidialler, Resco Explorer 6.17, Resco Registry Add-in, Smart Movie 3.31, Transcriber, and more (read System Info).
- Pagepool: 6MB.

For testing it faster, it will be much appreciated if you can upload the patched file before you are going to re-cook the ROM image. Is it feasible? Thank you.

Camera confirmed not working... I was using RC2, and it was ok..

Changed Memory Card to Storage Card (a bit troublesome for person who used Atom, then Atom Exec now, like me, as we got used to Memory Card already)..

Another new problem (I think): I was using TCPMP81 to watch video a lot.. and no very smooth on old standard O2 ROM... run fantastic on RC2, same not so smooth on RC3...

Still having the same problems I posted on RC2, which no-one has responded on it, which are:

#1 - Tasks -> Can't filter with Active Tasks:
I got total of 15 tasks, where 4 of them is not Active (meaning no due date).. at the Today screen, it does indicate 11 Active tasks... but at the Tasks program, activating the filter with Active Tasks and deactivating it, give the same result... where I don't face this problem with WM5..

#2 - MiDi file as Ringtone
I like to use MiDi file as ringtone, as it is small size and very loud... however, after flashing this ROM, the sound of the MiDi file is very different when you playback as ringtone, as compare to playback from MediaPlayer..

I also will like to report that Your previous version RC2 wich is currently installed in my o2 atom exec does support MINI 4GB HCSD perfectly!

I have bought a 4gb OEM with samsum chips 150x and worked just fine.

now I am downloading your new ROM because A2DP didnt worked with my BT8010 from jabra.

With sktools and other tweaky software i had function camera, but the result for capture video is white blank. So, i have to change address for nk.exe to original, same solution for chartreux too.
After all, we have 51,95mb program memory with 6mb pagepool.

Hi, after this Rom installed I can't do the activesync. I would like to install other rom (RC2) but I can't do activesync. The Atom Exec connect, the light stay red, but the activesync don't start.

This rom is great, surely again thanks to jiggs (The Starter WM6 for Atom), for chartreux (The Starter WM6 for Atom Exec).

You are doing great on developing the ATOM EXEC rom.

With TouchFlo feature running, the free RAM memory still 29.11 MB FREE when startup the device.

Just only 2 BIG issues

1. Camera doesn't work.
2. A2DP doesn't work on both O2 XA-06 and iTECH R35., HandFree works properly but most of users now use the Wireless Stereo Profile.

The ActiveSync works great here.

We would be so glad if you can beat those issues.

Hello Abusalza,

Due to sheer temptation, I upgraded my atom to RC3 from RC2, already knowing that camera and notes will not work ;)

First thing first. Great work! Best ROM I have seen so far. Thanks. :)


However I have few observations, other than camera and notes issues.

Alarm:
In RC2, I was having problems with alarm reliability. Mostly, there were three situations.
1) Alarm will not ring at all. (As if, alarm was not set to ring)
2) Only alarm bubble will show up without sound.
3) And the most irritating behavior, alarm will not ring at the said time but it will start ringing when I will turn on my atom even after an hour of alarm time.

In RC3, so far it is working perfectly. The difference, I have notice is that in notification queue, there is only one entry of clock.exe with next alarm time. However in RC2, I was having many clock.exe entries (up to next one week) in notification queue with almost random alarm times.

In RC3, on disabling all alarms, clock.exe entry is removed from notification queue, where as it was not happening in RC2.

Did you fixed it in R3, or I was messing up with RC2?

TouchFlo:
I don’t know if it is a feature or bug :D

Right to left, left to right and down to up gesture in any application will bring up touchflo application. Quite irritating when you are trying to scroll your contacts, emails and sms even webpages.

I think, it would be good if, Right to left, left to right and top to down gestures are only recognized on touchFlo application and down to top gesture is only recognized on today screen so all other applications should work as they should.

Is there any fix or some configuration?


Volume Levels:
“Sounds and notifications” sound level is too low. Even below acceptable level. For example, if you set Play sound “Notify” on “New Text message received”, it will sound on new sms but with very low volume. Where as, when Nofity.wma is played in media player, it will play with high enough volume. Only when it is played by system, it will sound low. I think, all wma files are played at some system defined volume level by system.

The work around is to put a wav file in windows directory and set it in place of Notify.wma.

Any idea how to change this system defined sound level?

Both are not working with the rc3 and charteaux rom.

You can just kindly
1) D/L the rom (from O2 or other sources, google might help).
2) Install it over the wm6 directly.

Hope this will make you easily update the AtomExec with confidence, anyway I did that successfully :)

Few more observations

1) "Define Softkeys" is not working, as it is putting invalid links in registry

2) "Contact List" stop showing contacts as if there are no contacts in the list. (Blank), but in phone, I can see the contacts.

3) "Backup/Restore SMS" from within (tmail.exe) not working. it gives error "the file 'smsBackup' cannot be opened......."

can anyone else second these bugs?, or its just me, who is playing to much with Atom that it started behaving like this?

okay i have some solution.....

lets setup a ftp server. there is a small ftp server (free) www.goldenftpserver.com/golden-ftp-server.zip , you can download it and install it on your computer then just add the directory containing our beloved rom to the ftp server. THATS ALL!

When you will add the directory in the ftp server, it will give you a link something like ftp://your_ip/your_directory. Send this like to one of us (not to every one, otherwise you will see all of us connecting to your computer and choking it out ;) )

THE ONE who will download the ROM, will upload it on some file sharing service.

Downloaded the new and revised RC3, and spend more than 6 hours playing with it.. and would like to share 2 problems with you:

Problem#1 - Active tasks... same as highlighted in floor #18... maybe I did not make it clear to you... therefore giving now more explaination.. (hope you don't mind)..

Assuming I got two tasks, "buy eggs" and "driving licence expired"...

"buy eggs" is a task to be done anytime, thus I do not set the Start Date and Due Date.. thus this task is Active (all the time)..

"driving licence expired" only happen in 31st December 2008.. and I set Start Date on 1st December, and Due Date at 31st, to give me one month time to work on this task... thus this task is Not Active now... but will be only at end of the year..

So, as at today, if I view the Tasks with Filter of "Active Tasks" being checked, I should only see the first tasks. If "Active Tasks" is unchecked, then I see both tasks. This is what happen so far when I was using PPC2002, PPC2003 and WM5..

However, in both RC2 and now RC3, "Active Tasks" both checked and unchecked will still show both tasks..

Problem#2 - TCPMP 0.72RC1 -> Using in WM5 is not smooth... Run perfectly and very smooth on RC2 (WM6RC2 from you).. but not smooth again when using this latest RC3 ROM.. especially when there is a loud noice or music, it pause a bit...

Very nice. And fast!
A few little problems (not sure how many can be fixed):
- PIE locks up while loading so have to wait for full page to load before scrolling (and seems to load slow)
- GPRS randomly tries to connect even if not enabled/turned on (I think I may have read somewhere that it is a WLM 10.6.33.0600 problem though so may try downgrading)
- Some apps (PIE, messaging) do not like being forcefully closed (ie by pocket plus) and will not reopen unless a soft reset is preformed
- Any change of getting the Delete button in Messaging changed to New?
- When in Messaging, on the first screen where you can choose, SMS, MMS, Outlook, etc, MMS says 'sent from O2 Xda Atom Life'

Other than that, this is a great rom

Bro you cannot expect support for 3rd party apps, there could any number of reasons this app is not working.

I am running POINTUI AND S2U2 but TouchFlo appears ocassionally wich I would prefer to disable...

Suggestion:

Another excellent task manager is WTASK wich is freeware and in My humble opinion is more powerfull that the one You have included in the ROM... Could be a better option because it has an application launcher, battery indicator in the top bar and is highly configurable...

It is actually RC3. If you want it, you can change the version to RC3 by edititng the Version at HKLM\systemVersion.

I tried to disable touchflo through start - > program -> system -> TouchFLO Config.

In TouchFLO Config, in “Genral” Tab, I unchecked “Enable FTouchFLO” and tapped “Done”

It gave the following error

Extract all of files to windows/temp. Is not must drive c:, if u have 2 or more OS in your pc. U know what i mean? If u have 2 OS windows on your pc, u must know where u have installed your running windows. If u have windows running from d drive, extracted files into d:\windows\temp:)

abusalza is right... I got a lot of experience (of mistake) on this subject.. the problem is that, the ROM must be inside \windows\temp directory... if you already installed once (say) RC2... now if you need to install RC3... it is better to delete all the files you have inside \windows\temp directory, then put the RC3 files into this directory, and run from there...

Running from directory other than \windows\temp will be bad.. you will end up thinking installing RC3 but actually installed RC2 (which reside in that directory)...

Before you upgrade to RC3, go to c:\windows\temp, make sure it is clean.

1. I had the experience that the program pickup the old program and ran that.

2. If you upgrade your AtomExec to other language, it may not upgrade with WWE RC3. Because a factory ROM will overwrite everything and you need to find a way to flash it back to WWE.

I don't think screenshot will help...

Pls try this:
1. create a task call "buy eggs", no need to put in Start Date and Due Date.
2. create a task call "driving licence expired", put Start Date at 01-12-08, and Due Date at 31-12-08.
3. Click Menu -> Filter -> Check "Active Tasks"..

By right, if "Active Tasks" is checked, you should only see one task.

If check and uncheck "Active Tasks" also show two tasks, then the checking of "Active Tasks" got no meaning already...

Hope the above gives you better "picture" of the problem...

1. create a task call "buy eggs", no need to put in Start Date and Due Date.
2. create a task call "driving licence expired", put Start Date at 01-12-08, and Due Date at 31-12-08.
3. Click Menu -> Filter -> Check "Active Tasks"..

By right, if "Active Tasks" is checked, you should only see one task.

If check and uncheck "Active Tasks" also show two tasks, then the checking of "Active Tasks" got no meaning already...

Hope the above gives you better "picture" of the problem...

- GPRS randomly tries to connect even if not enabled/turned on (I think I may have read somewhere that it is a WLM 10.6.33.0600 problem though so may try downgrading)
I fixed this by going to :
Start -> Settings -> Connections -> Connections
and then deleting the Vodaphone GPRS setting that was automatically created when installing the rom

Aye aye to shafiqurrehman... actually now I am using back RC2, for the 3rd time, after tried RC3 twice..

:) no offence, abusalza... but I think your RC2 is better than your RC3, somehow...

For me is working very fast... the same as last one from chartreaux but I like this one more because of the option to install additional applicattions.

I actually fell this is faster than RC2, maybe because I choose not to activate TOUCHFLO, because I am using POINTUI home, and S2U2 wich worked better...

Try to cut FTouchFlo.lnk in startup folder to another location if u want disable TouchFlo. If u want re-enable touchflo just copied this file again to startup folder

If I removed the link or disable TouchFlo, my touch screen will also be disabled. That is, I can no longer use the the pen to operate my Exec. However, it is still functioning well if I connected it to PC, and operate the mobile via PocketPC contoller. Very strange and tricky??

Your pen should without problem, when you disable touchflo You can not slide the finger but you cant touch point and click normally...

copy some wave file in windows directory and assign it to sms notification. The in-built is too low when played by system, but if you play it with media player, then it is ok.

just copy some other wav file and use it.

RC3 is excellent, but I still want a N-touch version to improve the internal memory. I think that PointUI is more user friendly than TFo, unfortunately the former does not support Unicode.

I have an issue..couple of them actually.

I've tried to get my wi-fi up and running but no use it just won't be turned on.
Also my alarm is not working. There is no alarm for my ears...........but for eyes there is a pop up.

Is there anyone here who can help me out with these problems.....

Nah, I tried that. The only way i could get it to work was click the yellow beel, then change a setting (play sound, repeat sound, flash light, or vibrate)

Have had 2 resets, once while talking on the phone and another while trying to send an SMS other than that the ROM is very good.

want to remove UpdateManager to see if that is causing the instability. But cannot find the uninstall app

what are the steps to uninstall? Regards

i am also running the basic version of WM5 that was installed by manufacturer. Do i just run this or do i have to upgrade to WM6 first.
