This is hermes forum. I would suggest you read wiki for wizard to unlock your phone and load wm6.

Don't be too quick to jump on the poor guy, he says he used to have a wizard but now has a hermes so he's more than welcome here.

Yeah, between Mr Vanx's guide and the Hermes WIKI you'll find pretty much everything you need to get you up and running, oh and I strongly suggest you use the MicroSD card method of flashing your OS and Radio.

Can you tell me more about this method (how to do it) and what advantages if offers over conventional flashing? Cheers.

If you read the massively long "Bricked Thread" (link in my Sig) I would guess that 99.99999% of those people bricked their phones using the USB method.

What people fail to realize is that their USB connection could be pretty flakey without them knowing and the first time they see evidence of this is when their phone gets bricked, especially when flashing the Radio as this is a sure way to fubar the phone! HardSPL may make it possible to recover but why not avoid that inconvenience in the first place.

The phone has to maintain a USB connection while flashing and this can be broken for a split second for a multiplicity of reasons.

I know of only one person who bricked their phone flashing via the MicroSD method and this is due to his file being corrupt. To avoid this always check your card for errors prior to rule this out. (Right-click on the card icon in My Computer and select Properties->Tools->Error-Checking... tick both options, OK.

I personally bricked my phone 4 times flashing via USB. No problems via MicroSD and 70+ flashes.
