Hi. I am considering swapping my (t)rusty XDA IIi for an Orbit 2 but was hoping someone could answer a question I have.

I would like to get a big juicy SD card to store say 6-8 GB of music etc. How good is the Music playing software supplied? I presume there are other ones you can install if the built-in ones aren't up to it.

More importantly though, is it possible to completely disable the touch screen while still playing music? I'd want to start off a playlist and then drop it in my pocket. I cannot do this with my IIi because the touch screen is always active while playing.

Cheers,
Paul

You can listen to the HTC Audio player or WMedia and switch off the phone. The music still plays. There area also applications like s2U floating around that also lock the screen from touch. I currently have the 4GB microSDHC and it is spacious.:)

Thanks Raskell - I'm pleased to hear that.

On the subject of music files, can you confirm that the built-in players can handle AAC+ ? I'm sure I saw this mentioned on a site somewhere.

Cheers,
Paul
