messaging odd problem

hi all i have a vodofone v1615.. all was fine until 2 days ago it stopped picking up my emails i restartted the account from scratch an now it works ?? but i am still gettin this error message after it has downloded messages and sent succsesfully....." messages cannot be downloaded to your mobile device. make sure you are connected and that you e-mail account settings are correct. then try to download messages again "
any body ?? its driving me mad !!!!!
apart from that all is well !!!!
ps my wife got hers the same time as mine and she has no probs !!!!
