Also, ScummVM gave a reason to dust off my old IBM PS/2 386 computer.
Maniac Mansion, The Indiana Jones games, and Sam and Max.

For quick games, Handmark Tetris and the Cant Stop Solitaire are my standbys.

Until theres a way to play the emulators with no slowdowns I really wont be screwing with them anymore.:(

Nethack, an old time favourite rpg of mine since the early 1990s. The developers really do think of everything and now I get to play it on my kaiser.

GO GO Nethack.

(The graphical interface may put-off some people but I highly recommand a try-out if you're a big RPG fan.)

Just map the "action/open door key" and the "walk forward" key to the same thing, this way all you have to do is walk up to a door or button to trigger it.

Puzzle Quest is fantastic. Dangerously addictive, beware. It's a java app, works great, though I can't get sound effects to play. But still, awesomely fun.

You can find Puzzle Quest easily enough by googling "puzzle quest j2me". It's weird... it seems impossible to buy, but it's easy to find. I would happily pay money for it, but I have no idea how.

Check out ZipCE (http://www.geocities.com/zipceppc/). It works fine on my Wizard but the problem for me is that it doesn't seem to remember my settings (I can set up the fonts to my liking but when I exit these are back to default. It does keep a history of the games I've opened though...)

I've looked around but couldn't find any newer versions. Anyone else tried playing with it yet?

Anyone have the Playstation emulator running semi-decently? I got FF Origins and Tactics running in between 10-20fps but it's really not that playable... I would love to know some good settings for the Kaiser.

hummmm im surprised no one has found a way to use the kaisers wifi to get a game like mario kart. since the DS can braudcast a game in multiplayer (so you dont need the game to play) we should be able to get the same data and use it to play the same game... or maybe im missing something that would make it so you cant do that...

Are some of you guys serious? Jeez. Where do you get these crazy ideas...The kaiser should be able to play DS games because of its touchscreen, or why can't we "intercept" the data since the kaiser has wifi and play wirelessly? Insane. Look up EMULATION. Tell us how you expected to play these DS games on your kaiser since there isn't even an attempt at a pocketpc NDS emulator. Where you planning to jam one of the Memory cards into the kaisers microsd slot somehow? Or where you going to intercept a real NDS's wireless signal and magically translate that into an enjoyable pocketpc gaming experience? ;) J/K, seriously though, Im shocked no one mentioned the amazing remake of the tactical strategy classic UFO - Enemy Unknown. The pocketPC clone is called PocketUFO. google it, its one of teh most polished ppc games on the platform. That and the now commercial PalmHeroes are definately in the top 5 ppc games of all time.


Go to the multiplayer game roundup. Its an excellent resource for those of you looking for multiplayer games on the kaiser.

Hey guys! Do you think it is possible to run some of the older pc games like:Turok 1, Turok 2, Final Fantasy VIII, Silver, Resident Evil, Diablo, etc.
Because I saw their minimum requirements, and according to those informations, I think it is possible. The minimum requirements are the following: RAM 32 MB (Kaiser RAM 128 MB), Hard Drive Space 200 mb (a microSD card could solve this problem). I Didn't see recommended Video Card or anything like that, so it might be possible.

one of my fav games to play if you have a few minutes to kill is yahtzee and rush hour... always good if you need to kill 10-15 min or so..

does anyone have a working link to either a GBA, Nes, or genesis rom.. for some reason pocketgba, pocketnes, and pocketgenesis aren't working for me on the sites i found them on..pocket snes worked however...

Mikeeey your DukeNukem guide was awesome. Say, have you been able to get it running on 6.1 roms? Most of them I test crash right before the 3D realms splash screen. It does open in portrait mode though.

The only WM6.1 Rom I have been able to use and play quake, quake 2, duke nukem, or any other apps + games that use DirectDraw is Dutty's 4/29 Rom. everything else doesnt work!

i really hope this problem will be fixed when the OpenGL roms come along, i mean, the OpenGL is for games, but if it limits half the games we play that would be horrible!

most developers aren't aware of this problem either, as i try to SPAM it all over the forum lol, i dont get any response. Atleast i found 1 other person, YOU!

Thought i'd give pocketsnes a try but although the app loads it won't show any .smc's or zips when I browes to the folder I saved them in

I get the same problem. Morphgear works though, make sure you also download the snes9x modules to play snes games.

Problem i have is the controls as the softkey buttons are too close to the directional buttons and i'm not having much success remapping the phone call and hangup buttons.

Also the pc version works well.

I was lucky enough to get 3,199 roms off usenet/newsgroups. don't ask for links i'm sure i'm on shakey ground even mentioning it :D
