So, you're created a nice ROM but you're tired of the inconsistencies of Aserg's flashing ways? Worry no more.

Step 1. Download this. (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=311909) I've been using an older version... but I'll try this one when I get home.

Step 2. Make sure your ROM is at LEAST 51.2MB big. If not, pad it with some apps. Set the program to Herald and on the System section, set it to read your ROM file.

Step 3. Download any ROM that uses an NBH. OpenTouch for example. Remove their NBH and place your NBH in its place. Don't worry about the name of the nbh.

Step 4. Place the phone into flight mode.

Step 5. Run the USPL.

Enjoy.

If you install things this way, it repartitions the storage partition for more space.

Also... well... I have a theory... I'll try it first before I talk about it.

There has been so much discussion about USPL... Which version is safe to use ? Are there different versions for herald and wing?

TIA

No. There's only one version for both of them. It's safe because it doesn't touch your real boot loader. It loads a temporary boot loader into memory instead. HardSPL is not safe.

True. As long as the phone doesn't break because the warranty won't cover it if they test it and realize that the SPL has been changed. :-p Also, you don't have to create custom RUUs. The thing about HardSPL that I don't like is that all to many people permanently brick their devices with it. It works great for those it works for. But that's not every body. I wish I could try it on my phone but I can't risk it.
