After holding down the power buttong for several seconds, a confirmation dialog box is displayed. Any way to get rid of it?

if you disable this warning, you can off your pda by error...

I need to hold the button down about 4 seconds before the on-screen warning comes up. I've never accidentally gotten to that point so the warning is more of a hassle than a preventative measure. Especially at night (usually the only time I power down) when I have to take off the cover, then hold the power button, then hit 'yes', then put the cover back on. It would be much easier to just hold the power button for 4 seconds like every other phone I have owned since 1993.

< offtopic > I still have the same number that I got in 1993, long before "number portability". My first phone was one of those Motorola Star-Tac quasi-flip phones, which was as marginally pocketable as the Athena. I was so happy when my phone got smaller year after year, funny how its gone full-circle back to a large phone. < /offtopic>
