I just received a call from USA Mobile Planet asking for confirmation on my credit card info for the Polaris order. Apparently, they ARE getting some in next Monday/Tuesday. (Dec. 24th-26th) They needed to know who still wanted theirs and they are getting on a small shipment. Checking their list and checking it twice. :)

I will let you know if I receive anything -

Just spoke to expansys (mobileplanet) stated that HTC has shipped to them but to not expect delivery of phone next week due to the holidays and customs. He told me to expect delivery between the Dec 31st and Jan 4th. No info on quantity they will be receiving.

Got my confirmation call from OnTheGoSolutions today... My Polaris will be shipped next week Thursday (dang holidays). I was told that their shipment has already came in. I don't know how many they have but I know they have mine (or so they say). I should be getting it before next year.

Mine still shows pre order status with date as Jan 21st. When called mobile planet they said they are getting stock from HTC only after jan 16th.. Lots of confusion. I would be delighted if got mobile before 20th atleast for sure..

I just got off the phone with OnTheGoSolutions. It appears that their shipment hasn't came in yet but I was told they're expecting it today or tomorrow. I don't know what to expect! Last week, a rep told me they got them in... but this was also the same person that said she would upgrade my shipment to Fed-Ex 2 day free of charge - I was charged - Needless to say: this rep told me that the units will be shipped the day they get them in.

Just got a call from onthegosolutions and they are now saying due to custom clearance don't expect shipment before next wednesday.

They are shipping black version.

Irony is they are saying the same thing for the last week also.

To those that has already received their unit, were you given a Fed-Ex tracking number? And for those that have their tracking number but no Polaris, are you able to track it?

Just a few minutes ago I recieved the Fed Ex tracking and it's on schedule for Friday delivery. I never thought I would be so stoked about getting a new phone... I hear these are the Black versions?? Great Man.... Immediately they got some stock, they increased the price by 50 USD. Mine hopefully get this saturday... By any chance some one already got has some photos/videos to share. on the go confirmed it is a full black version.

A few of you have made some request so here is what I have experienced so far:

The HTC is a very nice phone. It is light. Does have a ever so slight plastic-ee feel but nothing that makes it feel to cheap. Just something I noticed.

Performance:
Calls – Clear and great
Bluetooth – Paired with Jabra and a Jawbone – Works perfect
GPS – WOW – Very nice.
Used the latest TomTom Navigator full version (http://www.tomtom.com/products/product.php?ID=286&Category=2&Lid=4) and QuickGPS. Very nice feature and you have to get the TomTom Dennis Hopper or Mr. T voice overs (http://navtones.com/tomtom.php). Funny!!
Speed of the device is pretty good when navigating around
3G/HSDPA – WOW! – On DslReports.com speed test for mobile, I was getting 656kBit/sec. Tried again with a bigger file and I got up to 833kBit/sec. The iPhone barely gets 112kBit/sec. The ‘H’ indicator was showing on the Polaris because I know Austin has the HSDPA in this area. (Nice!)What’s in the box:
Basic trial-ware (TomTom, etc.)
Europe charger and adapter – Normal USB cable fits even though the adapter fitting is a little off.
Felt carry protective case
Head phones
Blah, blah, blah
Nothing major to report hereSo far I must say that this is a keeper of a phone. I would recommend a screen protector if they even have something like that.

2) has anyone found a real flip leather case for the P3650, not the kangaroo pouch that HTC supply ?

My WLAN works great. I am using WPA-PSK (AES) on a D-Link 802.11n Router - DIR-655 and everything is fine. There was some weird disconnects but I had to go into the wireless card and make some adjustments then it worked fine. (Can't remember what they were but the basics)

I have not investigated a leather flip case yet but I am sure someone will have one very soon -

When you get up on the phone it isn't bad at all. It is when you take a picture from an angle that you really see the reflective-ness of the front face. But, you can check out the pics.

edit: after looking at raskells device i now think u have the black version with silver/gray keyboard. his keyboard is much more reflective than urs so thats why i believe this and it seems like the bezel is darker than his

I also got my Polaris today and finally got it all dialed in. The chrome like front is borderline Gaudy I was really hoping to get the all black unit. Oh well, I can live with that. The screen protector is a must or you'll scuff the finish in no time. When applying the screen protector be patient, it must be centered perfectly or it wont adhere @ the edge. I got it on the 4th attempt. Overall device performance seems ok so far but I don't know what the deal is with the crappy video playback?? Just like my Kaiser the video is jumpy and lags. I have a Touch enhanced that is overclocked/260mhz and it will blow this thing away when it comes to video playback. In order to use the FM radio you need to have the earbuds plugged in as they act as the antenna. GPS works fine just like my Kaiser from what I have noticed. Overall a pretty cool unit.

Question for anyone willing to help:
1.What would you do for better video playback? I even close all other programs with no difference. The Processor really should handle it without ANY issues.

Too bad. Looks like this has the same issue with video as the other HTC devices using the Qualcomm MSM7200 chip. I urge people to take heed of this and if you are thinking of buying a Crisue but will not due to this problem, let HTC know they are losing money due to this issue.

I didn't realize it was a known issue with the chip. I guess that explains why I have the same issue's with my Kaiser. This really disappoints me as I like watching Videos on my device. It's pretty sad to say I will be reverting back to the Touch Enhanced for this!:mad:

well, too keep it simple, there isn't a simple answer :)

Actually, some people have been working very hard at it and have tried drivers from a number of otehr devices, but no luck yet.

Yes unfortunatley I have to wait until the end of January also. This device is definetly worth the wait though. I can not believe how some vendors who already have the device are charging hundreds more.

I understand but I am not a scammer. I am not pretty new to xda-developers I have been utilizing this site for years. Actually I joinned before you just dont post as often. I understand your concern but cannot ship phone before payment, I was just trying to get you the best price on your device so that you can begin to work on the custom rom. I have had nearly every device HTC has made and love the devices thats why I wanted to help. Good luck mate on your cooking.
